  Hey guys I have a problem I could use some help with.

  I have a Dell Studio 1555 laptop

  4 GB of Ram

  Intel Duo Core T6500 @ 2.1 GHZ

  I've had this laptop over a year now and it works perfectly but around a week ago, he went a little out of whack.

  Basically, no matter what programs are running my CPU usage will be 90-100%, which makes the laptop almost impossible to use.

  try adding a small fan blowing in the wind (or at least through them) to see how effective that has

  I have worked all day in HR and have had no major problems, except a little slow when using the network (HR is installed locally, but the project has been saved to a networked machine).

I had not updated in a while so I took the time and updated and restarted if necessary until at some point, the search never stopped and after a while the ups and downs on the cpu and ram it stops with a cpu maxed out and nada. I remember looking through everything and try all kinds of possible solutions, but nothing worked - probably because it was a new problem.

  The number reported at the bottom of the request for use of the RAM is only the amount used by the foreground application. It has nothing to do with how much is used by the instance of After Effects context or assistance process.
