Clear cache in the recovery menu

Hi everyone, hope you enjoyed your weekend.

I wanted to wipe the cache memory of the phone because he was almost 3.5 GB (as seen in settings > storage > storage cache) on the 10 GB available for the user in the 16 GB model. For this I followed the guide to enter the recovery menu by restarting the phone and the compensation/wiping cache memory.

But when I rebooted the after the complete "wipe" message in recovery to see that it was not successful. I always saw 3.5 GB in storage parameters caching. Clicking top authorized. But what of the process in the recovery menu? It does not work?

Before that he used to work on my Note 2. All the world is facing this?

The only thing that wipe cache partition will wipe in recovery is the system cache. You need to remove the cache to the application via the settings > storage setting. There isn't a way to do both at the same time. I hope this helps.

  • How to use the recovery CD?

    Hello

Ive lost the instructions to tell me how to use the recovery CD. I forgot, I need to press to access the disks when I reboot!

    St. Clare

Hi clear, before using the recovery CD make you that all important data has been saved to the floppy or USB key because the procedure will erase the entire hard drive. The method for booting from a cΘdΘrom may vary according to the model number of your laptop, but it's something like hold the 'B' button for the Toshiba Startup logo. If this fails you can try to change the boot sequence or use the Toshiba from Windows or the BIOS configuration tool (ESC then F1 when prompted from a cold start) make CD-ROM the first device startup in the list.

  • Impossible to reinstall OS x El Capitan via the recovery

    3.5 GHz Intel Core i7

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2048 MB

    DDR3 4 GB 1600 MHz

My iMac is buggy since upgrade to 10.11. Some programs crash frequently, and just recently, the system began to be insensitive, that needs to be forced to withdraw from the machine. Usually, when the system crashes like this, the mouse moves, but he will be.

Twice on startup until I received the No. or prohibitive symbol showing no disk or operating system is not found.

So, I tried a system restore to reinstall El Capitan. Everything went fine until I select the disc to install to. Then the system stops responding again once, completely frozen and I can without restoring.

So I tried a restore from Time Machine early in the day. I think that would help, but do it anyway. It did not help, the system is still buggy.

I ran the disk first aid.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? What's wrong? Of fact need the operating system reinstalled? Why restoration is stalling?

    Thank you!

There is the chance that an add-on or plugin installed in Firefox is the origin of the problem. To learn, you can try the Mode without failure of Firefox.

Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables some settings and disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

(If you are using an additional theme, place you in default theme.)

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Mode without failure of Firefox in the Help menu by clicking on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item:

    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  • 24 Firefox need to clear the cache on the exit option

I was going to enable the option to clear the cache at the exit and found this answer:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/how-clear-Firefox-cache

However, in firefox, 24, the Privacy tab is totally different from this page. My option has 'tracking', 'history' and 'Bar', instead of just history and location of the bar. Under "History" there is that the drop-down menu has no the "clear history when Firefox is ' and the 'Configuration' button

Why this feature is removed from v24?

To view the history settings and cookies, choose:

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".

Note Firefox will disable the disk cache if you use 'clear history of Firefox closing. "

You can see that by the section of cache disk missing on the subject: cache and and in ' Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network.

  • Clear cache original linking in the APEX

I use the theme 4, Topaz. Region_Position_06 is a link from origin.

I placed a chart of the company at this position on the zero page, and when a user clicks on any page, she leaves this page and go to the home page, a main menu page. So, no matter how deep, a user can be in the pages of the application, she can always click this logo image and return directly to the main menu page.

It's convenient, but there is a problem. By clicking on this logo, does not clear the cache on the page that fate of the user or, indeed, on any page in the trail of pages, the user has taken to access the current page. I navigate especially with buttons and always empty the cache on a page when I'm out there. I need to find a way to do this when a user clicks on the image of the logo.

I would like your ideas to solve this problem.

Thanks for your help. I think you have put me in the right direction. Now, everything I need to know is how to get there. You say "add a ClearCache parameter to the URL in the original linking." Clear the memory cache for the session would deal with the problem, but I need to know where to find the URL of the original linking.

The original linking is defined in the attributes of the application (in APEX 4.x, click the button modify application properties on the home page of the app in the App generator). 4.2 the apex, there is an attribute of home page for each user on the User Interface tab interface. In previous versions, it is located on the Security tab.

I am trying to restore my Satellite Z830 - 11 H parameters using the F8 menu before starting.

  • I'm not clear how to use the recovery CD

I added all the space using my HDD is it comes about 12 GB, I have 27.9 GB of disk space, but my drive has only 1.80 left disk space. I made clear to solve this problem. Basket is empty, I ran disk cleanup.

A computer expert suggested that Windows might have become confused and cannot recognize what place I save, it might be because I ran a program called Cyberscrub often. His solution is to reload Windows XP home. My laptop came with recovery discs, everything else is already loaded. I have so much I don't want to lose on my laptop. If I use the recovery discs, I will lose everything on my computer, am I better off buying Windows XP home and re-load, in which case I will not lose my job?

Also I am not clear how to use the recovery discs, I can't find instructions on what you are doing.
The only person who could help me went to travel and not reachable.
    Any help greatly appreciated

It of a very simple to recover the laptop.
Just boot from the recovery CD and follow the instructions on-screen ;)

I put t know what version recovery CD you have, but the older one provides the standard and expert mode. In expert mode, you can choose you partition where the OS is to be installed.
So in this case only the selected partition will be formatted!

But have you checked the size of the HARD disk in disk management?
Simply click on the my icon my computer and choose manage.

Of course, you could remove the internal HARD disk and it could connect to the external USB HDD controller. Then, connect the drive HARD to the second PC and you record data on another HARD drive.
