I got a laptop HP 1040 Folio G1. A few years ago, I would set the password of the bios on this subject.

(I have still remember and use PW daily)

But now, I didn't need to protect more bios password.

I tried to delete it, but I found that - to just change it.

In the box to request new password, put the ESC button. And then, the IPL has been removed.

But on the Folio 1040 G1, it did not work.

Pleas tell I can remove it or not (and how). Thanks to you all!

I need a diagram that shows where the jumpers are exactly

    Hello:

There are no jumpers on the motherboard of your laptop to clear the BIOS password.

Please refer to page 1-4 repair for how to do to erase the BIOS P / w.

Now, I would recommend some changes to the procedure, as written.

Leave the CMOS battery for 30 minutes and not 5 to ensure that all electricity had been drained from the system board.

Do not replace the CMOS battery before turning on the PC with the AC adapter only.

Leave the two batteries out of the PC.

If this procedure does not clear the BIOS P/W, then someone has put a tight security in the BIOS, and preventing the circumvention of the BIOS P / w.

If you want to set the password in the BIOS you will need to access the BIOS by pressing the F2 key immediately after that the laptop has been powered.

There is a 3rd tab security.
There you can set the BIOS password. You would need to put everything first and then you must confirm the password once more to

This s the password of BIOS nonsense has nothing to do with the reorganization of face.

  • Default BIOS password

    Hello everyone,

I had real trouble moving my Touchsmart 600 - 1030fr to Windows 8. Due to incompatibility of graphics driver, I see nothing on my computer after the startup screen (the one with the blue window).

I discovered that a change in the BIOS can solve this problem, but my BIOS asks me a password. I tried to reset this password in removal and replacement of the battery from the motherboard. Although he told me that the BIOS has been reversed to the factory settings, the password is always there.

Is anyone of you know what is the password to the factory settings?

Also, I read on the forum but

not help me in my documentation of the computer do me not any suspicion on the specification of the motherboard and it is a real BIOS HP.

    Thanks for your help.

    Here are the specifications of your desktop HP TouchSmart 600-1030fr and it's card mother Pegatron IPP7A-M5 (E60). Please follow these instructions;

The BIOS password is used to protect the settings of the BIOS against unwanted changes. If you have forgotten your password, you can use this jumper to reset password settings.

To clear the password BIOS follow these steps:

1 turn off the POWER the computer and unplug the power cord.

    2. Locate the jumper marked CLEARLY P.W.

    3. move the jumper on the PSWD jumper on pins 3-1.

4 wait about 10 seconds, and then return the jumper to pins 5-3.

    5. connect the power cord and turn on the computer.

6 hold down the F10 key during the boot process to enter the BIOS setup. You will not be asked a password.

Diagrams are on the page "card motherboard" for your computer.

    Hello:

I have rewritten them below, and that should take care of the problem...

  • Pavilion c 589: manufacturer of Bios password for Pavilion 589c

Hello, so I put a password for my setup, but I forgot it. I have reset the CMOS on my motherboard to the standards of the factory, but he always asks for a password. Is there any sort of password that I can use to access the bios and change it?

    Hello:

The only suggestion I can offer would be carefully check the jumpers on the motherboard and see if there is a labeled to clear the BIOS password.  Could be labelled like this...  CLR/PSWD

If you can find such a jumper on the motherboard, usually you would clear the password like that...

To clear the password BIOS follow these steps:

  • L50D-B - reset of the Bios password satellite

    Model: Satellite L50D-B-17J
    Serial number: YE031145C

So, one of my cousins has managed to put a BIOS password on his cell phone and then forgot the password. Now, I was invited to see if I can fix it.

First of all: this notebook, while relatively new, is essentially fixed or trash, she already has a new. I already opened it upward, so the warranty has technically been canceled already. All this means it does not matter too much if he breaks in the process of fixing. They say that they have contacted support and not really gotten an idea clear of what to actually do, and I'd rather not have to worry about support (the Support System site is not even working for me right now).

    Long story short:
Is it possible to reset the BIOS password on this model? I understand that it is possible on many laptops to do by removing the CMOS battery. Now, this model does not have a (I opened it and found no one). Instead, I understand that the newer models may have a circuit that can be shorted to possibly reset the BIOS? Is this correct, and if so, what is it?

Once more, the laptop is practically acquired anyway, so if possible, I'd take the chance to do it myself, if it's at all possible.

Well, the circuits in question would be JCMOS1 riders normally located under the RAM. Bridge them while the power is turned off the first. If it does not then on the screen by removing the battery and drive, press and hold power for 10-15 seconds, then hold down Fn + ESC, holding down it to the bottom of the plug in the power lead and switch on the device. When the fan starts release Fn + ESC. If you see a post screen then bridge JCMOS1 jumper then and that should reset the BIOS. Unplug the unit and hold down the power button for 1 minute and then plug it back again. It should start up with asking to specify a password. If you could not to post, then refer to the manual to see what it flashes the procedure. The buttons used for flashing procedure will be the same to make this post. Only fill the JCMOS1 jumper while the machine is running if you see the post screen, no other time. An easy way to bridge them would be to use a paperclip and bend it on and use the ends of it.
