Click disabled ActionItem

Hey developers

The UI guidelines say

Disable a "Submit" action until users enter all of the required data. If users try to select a disabled "Submit" action, display an inline message or a toast to identify what's missing.

So far about disabling the Submit action. But, as indicated in the guidelines, we show a message when a user tries to tap the button disabled/actionitem. How can I catch an event on a disabled button or ActionItem? I went down on the API but did not find anything.

Does anyone has an idea in the accomplishment of this?

Thanks in advance

I don't think they mean actually disable the button/action (ie active: false) rather keep it enabled (IE enabled: true) but 'disable' by not allowing the user to continue displaying the dialog box. Pseudo code:

If all the fields filled)

{/ / run}

else {error message / / show}

Because I don't think its possible to retrieve an instance of a user pressing a disabled button / action.

  • Desktop icons not working-not XP and right click disabled

    Hello

My computer has been infected by a trojan virus. My antivirus has identified and quarantined it.  As a result, the computer is back on the operation, however: 1 - the office is empty 2 - the mouse right click (or left) on the desktop does not.  3-all the icons disappeared and all the files, personal or other, are still on C:

What can I do to get a fully operational desktop computer?

    Thank you1

I don't see where any of these Support Engineer 'expert' who is hired by Microsoft ideas will help you.

These ideas are just more of their prosecution of wild goose that will just waste your time.

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

How did you determine that all the files are still on C:?

See if you can get to by typing Ctrl-Alt-Del Task Manager.

Once you open the Task Manager, click the processes tab and see if explorer.exe is running or not.

If explorer.exe is not running (and must be), you will have the symptoms you describe.

If explorer.exe does not, in the Task Manager, click file, new task (run)... and in the open air:, enter:

    Explorer.exe

Click OK and see if your Desktop reappears and notice that explorer.exe is now a running process.

If so, you do not have 'fixed' your problem yet, but at least you will be able to maneuver if you can fix it.

We'll see if the 'expert' technical support which is retained by Microsoft engineer can pick up from here.

  • Magic Trackpad 2 unwanted clicks

My Magic Trackpad 2 is almost unusable because of the unwanted clicks. I ' Tap to click on ' disabled, 'Secondary click' disabled, 'Force' disabled, and 'Click' value 'business '. However, as I lightly drag my finger on the trackpad, it clicks occasionally. Similarly, click-and - drag is almost impossible, because even if I am dragging, with the thumb pressing down to the click and the slippery finger for the movement, the trackpad to slam just yet without waking up my thumb. Well, sometimes simple clicks (actual pressing down) turn into double-tap-, I can hear the trackpad rapidly clicking twice despite me only once.

Does anyone have an idea what can happen and how to remedy? I don't think that the camera is broken, because it's fairly new.

    Hi, mfkamprath!

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. After reading your post, I understand that your Magic Trackpad 2 does not respond as you would expect. actually, it's clicking when you do not expect him. I know that unwanted clicks can impact your overall experience using the computer and want to help!

To begin, check out the various multi-touch gestures you can use with your trackpad to the article from the link below and make sure that you do not inadvertently cause a click.

Use on your Mac multi-touch gestures

If there is no an involuntary gesture clicks that might be the problem, I suggest to remove your Magic Trackpad 2 and put it up. You can use the "Remove a device from your Mac" section of the following article to remove the trackpad.

Using a mouse, the keyboard or trackpad Bluetooth with your Mac

The "Magic Mouse 2, Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad 2" section below will help you to get the trackpad set up again.

    Configure your Apple wireless devices

If you're still having problems after removing and configure Magic Trackpad 2, my next suggestion would be to follow the steps described in the article in the link below.

If your pointer is nervous when you use a trackpad, Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad

While the title of the article is not specific to your problem exactly, the steps will always look the you encounter unexpected behavior.

  • Cannot install Vista SP2; 'upgrade' disabled when I try and re - install by KB958044

    Hello

After three days of struggle with trying to get Vista Ultimate (purhcased at the United States) SP2 update, and several failures of various updates automatically downloaded from Windows Update: I finally found and read

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/VistaInstall/thread/09c291bf-3868-4DFA-8004-139ec8018aa1

MS response has been a link to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958044

But when I try to follow the instructions in KB958044: 'upgrade' is disabled.

I don't really wish to throw three days work of re - install my programs, tweak the settings, etc.

Thank you, Bill Woodruff Bill Woodruff

    Hi Bill Woodruff.

Because the standalone SP2 package failed with the error: '0 x 80070490', you can try to run Checksur (KB947821) to address corruption in the manifest of component maintenance (EC) and try to install SP2 Standalone Package.

To run Checksur (KB947821) follow the mentioned below as follows:

    (1) download and run the system update by the following article preparation tool: KB947821. Description of the system update tool for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821

    (2) put the computer in Cleanboot before installing the stand-alone Package of SP2:

To perform the cleanboot, refer to:

Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click Selective startup, Selective Startup.Under, clear the check box load startup items. Click the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all. Click OK.

How to perform a clean boot procedure to determine if background programs are interfering with a game or a program that you currently use: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939671

    (3) try to install the stand-alone Package for Windows Vista SP2.

    (4) after Installation of SP2, put the computer in Normal mode:

Click Start and type msconfig in the box start the search. On the general tab, select "NORMAL STARTUP". Click on apply, then OK. When you are prompted, click on restart.

However if SP2 fails to install again, then you can have make a repair or Installation upgrade Inplace of Vista to install SP2 as mentioned in article KB958044 after uninstalling SP1.

During the Upgrade Installation process, you will get the options go online to get the latest updates for installation and do not receive updates for installation. If you choose the option to go online to get updates, then it tries to download updates for the installation process, the windows updates required for Installation, including driver updates and it won't include all the latest Service Packs for Windows Vista.

If you get an error "upgrade is disabled" when you try the Inplace upgrade, it may be due to a version of Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 installed, you can not upgrade by using media that does not Service Pack 1. If you have a drive without SP1 and SP1 is installed on the computer as an update, you need to maybe uninstall SP1 first and then start the Installation of upgrade or you can arrange a full disc with SP1 to make Installation of upgrade by using the product key came with your upgrade disc.

For more information, please visit the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951247

If you try to uninstall SP1 to upgrade Installation, you can follow the mentioned below as follows:

    1) click Start, type Appwiz.cpl in the Start Search box, and then click Appwiz.cpl in the list programs.
    (2) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    3) click View installed updates. Click service (KB936330) package you want to uninstall, and then click on uninstall.

For more information, please visit the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948537

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.
