Click on Lenovo u300 hinge

Hello

So, I recently purchased the lenovo at amazon u300s and received today.

When I opened the laptop, there is a noticeable click on the hinge of the right hand (on the same side as the power adapter on). Click maybe isn't the best word, its not hard, I guess you could also describe him as a dull noise very quiet, as if there is some resistance there.

So, im not sure if this a problem with the design of the hinge, or a problem with the laptop I received. I asked a few people and they are all also uncertain, although the consensus seems to be that I should return just in case.

Could anyone who has the same laptop let me know if they have this also, or maybe that's standard on all hinges of lenovo.

Thank you

Edit to add more details I have did not describe the problem that well - so the resistance/click everything only happens when I opened the laptop when the screen is at an angle of about 20 degrees. When the screen is closed no problem.

Hi, so I sent it and received a laptop replacement. On this one the hinge opens smoothly with no click or anything. So really was a problem with this laptop.

Thanks for your help Exjamjus

  • What does Lenovo QuickOptimizer?

I just installed Lenovo QuickOptimizer 1.0.022.00 on my T61 ThinkPad, and it doesn't seem to be something. It is not running and it is not in my Start menu, and is not a startup item. Is the only place where it is listed under programs and features. What - what, what is it supposed to do, how I interact with it, if I can? Thank you.

  • R7000 being not able to see my other computers

Having a problem and need help.

With the old router netgear, WNR2000v3, I could see & send or receive files from any of the computers in the House. They are Gigabyte, Lenovo, Pavilion.

We are the guardians to four (4) his grandchildren and they need computers & printers for school. So, I hope someone can let me know how to solve this problem of communication that I have.

My main computer is gigabyte, which is a desktop computer. In the file Explorer > Network is the list of computers, Gigabyte, Lenovo & Readyshare. When I click on Lenovo or Readyshare I can see what is on them. What I see is the Pavilion.

On the Lenovo, File Explorer > network, the list of computers, Gigabyte, Lenovo & Readyshare. I don't see the Pavilion.

When I connect to Routerlogin.net > connected devices, the Pavilion Lenovo & are in the list of 2.4 G wireless devices.

On the Pavilion, I can see the other computers, Gigabyte, Lenovo, Pavilion & Readyshare and can click on each, and then read the directories.

The question is, what am I doing wrong?

    Is the router the cause?

    How to solve this?

All computers have been upgraded to Windows 10 of older versions.

Thanks for the idea, but that wasn't the problem.

I just keep looking and fixing various things to get every computer at work. I did so many different things that I don't remember all.

At present it looks like if I had it all works ok.

If you can put this in the committed category, which would be a good thing.

    Thank you

  • TIP: How to increase the longevity of your battery IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro

You want to increase the longevity of the battery in your Yoga 2 Pro?

Lenovo has included a battery 'Mode of Conservation', which extends the longevity of your battery in your battery to 55% ~ 60% instead of load completely.

You can activate the "Mode of Conservation as follows:

Step 1. Double-click the Lenovo Energy Manager icon in the taskbar.

    http://www.Flickr.com/photos/lead_org/11618045764/

Step 2: Click on the expand button on the windows of the Manager energy

    http://www.Flickr.com/photos/lead_org/11618047884/in/photostream/

Step 3: Click on the 'Settings' tab on the windows.

    http://www.Flickr.com/photos/lead_org/11621085983/

Step 4: Select battery / turn on 'Mode of Conservation' in Lenovo Power Manager.

    http://www.Flickr.com/photos/lead_org/11604409795/in/photostream/

P.S. You do not have to use this mode all the time, but if you use the laptop with the AC adapter plugged in all the time and do not really need long battery life time, then this is something you should consider allowing to reduce the wear of the battery unnecessarily.

  • T42 wireless connection problem

I have a T42 and X 31, and I always have to connect through a router ZyXEL Wireless.  Recently, my T42 stopped connection and it says it has not found wireless networks, but the X 31 works very well.  I thought it was a problem with the internal wireless card or the driver, so I uninstalled the 11 A/B/G Wireless Lan MINI PCI Adapter II.  I found the driver online (at http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-57216), and I downloaded the file (802_11abg_1004.exe, 'software Installation and configuration for the A/B/G Wireless Lan MINI PCI Adapter II 11').  However, he gets in the middle of the installation of the driver and then starts asking for .sys and .cab (like ar5211.sys and data2.cab) files.  I don't know how to go beyond these guests.  Any ideas?

    Thanks for your help,

Look at the underside of your T42 - it should be a sticker describing your model and serial number.

  • Lenovo IdeaPad U300s, 400, cooling system

Hi, I was wondering how the cooling system is good on the next U300s or 400.  I ask this question because my thinkpad T61 heats up just to watch a movie or play games.  I know that Lenovo has come with the new technology of permeable air keyboard.  But I was wondering, these machines come with good cooling systems (i.e. they won't feel so hot that my hand gets irritated on my thinkpad) and also they have built in fans? (because I know that some systems are fanless)

    Thank you

Hi lalaman and welcome to the community.

The units have a cooling fan in them.  The keyboard takes in air, and then it is discharged through a side wind and a vent near the hinges.

This method removes the inlet on the bottom, so has no danger of sitting in the machine on a bed or a pillow.  This should give you a very robust machine due to no slots cut down.

As much as any heat retention anywhere remains to be seen, but apparently having input using the keyboard should solve a lot of problems of heat retention.

  • Lenovo Y50 always have the hinge breaking the problem?

-Does anyone know if Lenovo Y50 is still having the screen display hinge break or blow up the basic problem?

There are a few things to consider here-

    (1) Yes, about 20 people are are complaining here, but I'm sure that thousands have bought this laptop. I think this is a defect of manufacturing, but only to a specific line. (I know should be fixed, but I don't know if it was)

    (2) you can always opt for another laptop or buy this one and follow the loosening of the screw (ONLY if the streams of your screen and hinge when opening).

I had great experience with laptops lenovo 3 (Y560, Y510P, Y3Pro) and that's why I'm here to spread this positive information and help around the community. Whatever you choose, good luck and happy playing.

The central part of the hinge on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, I've had for about 4 months, loose. It wouldn't really bother me much except that he is really strong and I cut myself on this subject.

  • Help! Need to find a way to replace components of Lenovo Ideapad U300s!

I bought a new 5 GHz Intel Centrino wifi PCI-E card to replace the 2.4 ghz card that came with my Lenovo Ideapad U300s. Unfortunately, I can't access the PCI-E location to Exchange on the chip. I can disassemble the laptop and go to the bottom of it, part but the PCI-E slot are available in the part superior of the laptop (which is the upper part of the PCI - E slot is directly under the keyboard, but I can't just to disassemble the laptop from the bottom).

Someone else had this problem? Looks like it might be impossible to swap the PCI-E card without disassembling the laptop world. Thoughts?

  • Re: Lenovo Ideapad U410 and tactile U410 broken / hinge

I, too, had the same problem who are users in this thread. I have a U410 bought in spring 2014. There was a pause in the hinge and the screen is separate from the cover. I have never dropped the computer, this question came a day after the general, daily use. I have attached photos of the issue for others to reference to.

  • Sound of Z51-70 LENOVO fan (by clicking / singing)

    Hi all

I'm having some trouble with my recently purchased lenovo z51-70. I noticed a chirping sound coming from the turbine (which resembles noise that makes HARD drive for access). I update the BIOS to v2, but even if the sound is quieter, he is still there.
