Click on 'no sound' in the settings, but sounds aren't going away

restarted too.  the sounds are the 'clicks' heard when switching from one screen to another on the web or from one folder to another on your computer

Hello

As you have already followed the steps for no sound option by default in the Windows sound scheme I suggest you to refer to the steps below and check if changing the values in Registory helps solve the issue.

(a) open the registry editor.

Note:

Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

(a) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756

(b) in the registry editor, navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_USERS\. DEFAULT\AppEvents\Schemes

Create the following value (SZ):

By default

And give it a value of. NONE

(c) close the registry editor.

Note:

New user who will now log on to this computer will have the model sounds "No. Sounds" applied.
