Clicked a bad link from my hotmail account

I received an email from someone I know which contained a link to a site on sites.google.com and I clicked it.  I've seen ads about viagra etc on this link and then I talked to the sender.  She told me that his PC was infected and his e-mail account had been hacked, so the email has not been sent by him.

I immediately changed my password to my hotmail account and scanned my PC (with F-Prot) that returns nothing.  Is this enough?  I remember reading on the news about a lady by clicking on a link in his email and later on his pirate in bank account.  I use my PC for online banking and sensitive information on my hotmail account, so I just wanted to be sure.  Thank you very much!

No, it is not enough. Be more proactive and at least go through the preparatory work and scan with MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware, as described here:
