  Chances are that you have not really NEED frames.  FTP probably less important for what NFS.  Just leave it where it is, you will see no appreciable difference.

  If your network switches are not activate for frame Jumbo that it won't work, so that's probably why FTP fails.

• FTP with DW CS5 problems that do not occur with a client FTP or MX

  On a mac OS 10.6.4 with DW CS5 to you connect to an existing FTP site.  It connects fine, but then all I get is a .txt file with a note indicating that FTP cannot be used when the Frontpage extensions are enabled. I checked the status of my Web server (to 1 & 1) and they are not active. So, I tried with a FTP client like cyberduck and all files are there. Similarly, I used an older version of DW (think it's vintage MX 2002) and all files appear on the server-side (I just can't download the site due to the incompatibility of version so DW rejects him). Anyone know what could go wrong here? As far as I know the site has been created by DWMX (think it was in 2004). Thank you

• Using WinSCP as default CC Dreamweaver Ftp Client?

  I do stuff webdevelopment and webdesign. And I use Dreamweaver for many years for many reasons, especially since he WYSIWYG feature which really help me to work with more ease. [Sorry for all those who have repeatedly recommend me to abandon Dreamweaver - but im that he plans], and even though I know and appreciate the tools such as Notepad ++, etc. - I really want to keep for now

  There are mainly one boredom: the ftp client.

  I do often save + upload my files, but DW blocks everything until the download is completed, or partially, it will even cancel new becomes I ve madde file so that the ftp was uploading,... I can't this is how frustrating.

  Since I have worked with other tools, such as Notepad etc. I know that things could be so different, but:

  I realized that if I open a php via WinSCP or htm file in DWeaver, (as the default application for the file in my case is DW) THEN and only then WinSCP manages ftp jobs. But it means that I have to have open files always via Winscp which is complicated and time allows (multiple windows, etc etc).

  -If the simple question:

  Is it possible to somehow use WinSCP as Client Ftp of Dreamweaver CC?  Or there wrong somehow using it?

  I tried to find out, but can't find anything yet.

  No, you cannot change the program uses DW for the FTP, but it should not be a reason you can't use another program dedicated FTP along side DW. Many people add Filezilla, Cute FTP or another program FTP dedicated to their workflow because of problems they have, for one reason or another, with FTP of DW.

  Personally, I've never had a problem with the FTP of DW which was not fixed by disabling the cache program or preferences, or in a very specific case, buying a new wireless router to replace a defective allowing additions of DW.

  Looks like the second TCP connection for file transfer (which is also used in the list of directories) from the client FTP on the server fell. Have you tried completely disabling the firewall with esxcfg-firewall - allowOutgoing (can try esxcfg-firewall - allowIncoming, although it should not be necessary in the passive FTP mode)?   When I try to upload to a server by using the client ftp Muse (file > load on the FTP host) I get the error message: 'FTP only is not supported on this server.

  The ftp server is: ftp.squirrox.com:21 the username and password are correct, because these credentials work with FileZilla and FireFTP in FireFox. I use 2015.0.2.4 with OS 10.10.5 Muse.

  I also tried to use the name of the server, in the form "servername.squirrox.com", then I get the error message "FTP server not found."

  My site has about 130 pages and many pictures, so I prefer to use the customer of Muse, while I have the choice of downloading only changed files.

  It appears as well as your host only supports FTPES, which is different from simple FTP or SFTP and they use a prefix "ftp." on your domain site for the URL of the ftp server.

  If you enter the correct URL of the FTP (ftp.squirrox.com) and select "FTP over SLL/TLS (explicit encryption)" as the FTP method, you should be good to go.

• Generation of a binary file on the fly for FTP

  I have a requirement (don't we all?)

  I need to pick up a record of fixed length from a FTP server, convert it to a defined XML representation and then place the file within a XML archive .zip and store the results on a second client FTP server pick up.

  Everything is going well except that my results are not an archive valid .zip.

  I wrote a function defined by the user to manage zipping them upward and have indicated below. I think I'm a bad handling something in the final stages of this process because what is written is not valid.

• Ftp download Muse - can't make it work (530 access denied)

  My client needs power use inbrowser mounting in muse, so I am trying to download my site using muse. In the past I've downloaded using my client ftp (send on a mac), and I had no problem whatsoever. My username and password are certainly correct, I downloaded the countless number of times using these details, and I checked to see that they're still working using my client ftp directly, and they do it without any problem.

I managed to get a little further sometimes, do a review page ' the server MD5 fingerprint is:...' to ask me if I am convinced of this server, and then when I click ok, the same error of user name and password. My customers Web space is 1 and 1. They don't give me no information, they say it's my problem, and they do not deal with problems of client software. I'm really stuck and have a very unhappy customer and a Web site that my client cannot change, that they do not want to pay for. Really hope someone can help with ideas other than those mentioned.

  Have you tried to contact your hosting provider? Perhaps something has changed.

  The error is explicit and precise that you credentials are denied by the host. I don't think that there is much that can be done on the side of the Muse of it.

  Seems that the page is not correctly exported to the root location.

  Please check if the page is exported to the root or not, if not then try to export to html format and then use any client FTP to move the html file exported to the root of your replacement existing ones.

  I find that I like Dreamweaver built in FTP client.  As long as I have FTP from the same local directory, the files transferred to the root on the server.  However, when I FTP from another directory, DW will build a tree on the remote server to the mirror of the source of this file on the local computer.  This would suit me much better if DW simply transferred this / I opened these files in any directory on the server.  If possible, could you direct me to this rocker or selectors?  Thank you

  DW is entirely dedicated to sites based on local site and remote definitions.

  Its FTP feature is hardwired to always create a mirror image of the tree of the local directory on the remote server, regardless of what directory you ever FTP where.

  For the behavior you want, you need to use a client FTP 3rd party like FileZiilla.

• DW CS4 get the ftp GET & put arrows on DW docs working again?

  I used to be able to use these get & put arrows (in the drop file management just to the right of the document title) to ftp in my DW documents changes.  Suddenly, they no longer work and I have to open all the files and drag the docs changed in the remote files window.  It's really a pain because I do it a LOT.  Is there a FIX I am not or is it a broad failure of DW?

  There is no 'SYSTEM '.  FTP is strictly between your client ftp (DW) and your host. Your symptoms sounds like you have lost your remote site settings in the site manager. Have you checked that? Your site is a FTP site?
