Clock of blackBerry Smartphones

Does anyone know how to stop 'the clock' fading out when the phone is not used. ? In other words, I want to be able to easily put the bedside mode, looking at my phone, and know what time it is.

I don't think that you can keep the screen like this, while not on the charger.  The backlight time-out period has a maximum setting of 2 minutes.  If there is a way, I don't know of it.

I am able to keep the screen active while on a charger.  I plugged my camera to the wall charger and the clock is displayed on the device.  I then click the menu button and choose the bedside mode.  The clock fades a little, but the screen does not turn off.  This is how you do it?  I have a 9350 and keys keyboard and menu go black after a few moments, but my screen remains dim.

I REALLY appreciate all the support!

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

    1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
    2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

  • New clock of blackBerry Smartphones

is it possible to get the new clock that comes on some of the newer models on my curve?

No, no, unless you purchase 3rd party

    This clock is integrated to 4.6 (8900curve, 9000bold) and 4.7 (9500/9530storm, 9630tour)

83xx curve series have 4.5 and probably the highest they will never go

  • Clock of blackBerry Smartphones and start date

the clock on the grayshade is on my home screen at the top of the phone. I have a way to change it to another place or to disappear or take the shade of gray because I want my wallpaper to show fully. Thanks for any help

So what clock symbol you show? The one above is the alarm.

Yes, you need a new theme, or you will need to design your own. I have seen one that has NOTHING on the home screen. Nada. I don't remember the name of it, I hated it. But one of the developers of the aura, you'll find it. Perhaps something named as 'White' or 'no '.

    You are welcome!

Search in all the files (application, download, Configuration) and search for all the hidden icons (from your home screen press the Meny > SHOW ALL, SHOW EVERYTHING is checked and now look around.)

Cannot delete the icon so probably, that has not happened.

If still nothing, after the return.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones restart clock icon popping up and battery drain

My BOLD 9650 seems to be constantly rebooting. I'll see the clock icon running (same as on reboot) pop up randomly and the dough runs very quickly. This could be the cause and what can I do to prevent it. I'm on OS6.

    You may installed applications?

Back up and conduct security wipe. Does not restore your installed applications. See the following articles.

See if there still exists. Otherwise, let us know.

    Thank you.

  • Theme of blackBerry Smartphones has frozen my blackberry

I downloaded a theme on the morning of the bb app world now my phone is frozen. Its stuck on the main screen and it is locked. All buttons are inadmissible unless the caps lock, shift, and alt button. I tried removing the battery and putting it back on nothing has changed. It just says: initializing with a green circle, and that's it.

After downloading the theme, he asked if I wanted to apply, this small clock for the load came out. The phone took the time to apply so I went to remove the other themes to free memory to make it faster. After you remove the other theme, it got stuck on authentication for a long time, so I took out the battery. When you restart the bb the new theme has been applied, and now the phone is stuck on the main screen. Help, please!

  • Loading stuck to blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello

(Similar to a previous post problem: stuck on the update)

I have a Bold 9700 a little over 2 years now.  I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop software on the RIM site so that I could update my phone OS 5 to 6 of the OS. What I've read here OS6 is not a good idea for the Bold 9700 as I found it.

So here's the problem, I updated the operating system via the Blackberry Desktop Softwqare and everything was fine until the whole 5 minutes later the phone froze and since then not able to get it running. I think there somethnig to see with an App (iTookThisOnMyPhone) that is causing the problem. The phone turns on eventually (after several battery grips and 1 hour wait), but I can't go to the menu as the clock appears on the screen.

I think to repair (given by Blackberry Desktop Software solution) is however kind I can keep the data on the phone? Should there be a backup of file when I have updated OS5 to OS6?

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

    A few thoughts for you...

    (Credit JSanders)

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

FYI... in response to your earlier question, yes it must be a backup file on your PC to all your data. If you have taken a backup manually, it will be everywhere where you placed it. In addition, when you perform an update via the PC, the software offers to take a backup - as long as you do not defeat this offer, then there will be a backup file on your PC. The desktop software should have the location for the backup files stored... Look at this configuration in the desktop software. Also, search your entire hard drive for files with the extension IPD or BBB (it depends on the version of the desktop software you are using). The results will tell you what you have available, with naturally those with the most recent date/time stamps being the more logical choice for you.

For a stable start to the BB, you can also try Safe Mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient.

For the drastic recovery, here are a few things:

Good luck and let us know!
