Close button

My close button is a light yellow color and when I pass the mouse over the message is ' remember the your session and puts the computer in a low power state, so you can quickly return to work. There are some updates installed yesterday. This happened for the first time today, that I turned it on and did something else came and he tried to stop and he asked that it should stop some programs!

I ran a report of system maintenance and she is back with weird things as my printer is disabled (it isn't) and that I had no anti virus I have Kaspersky. I don't know what else. The only reason why I ran, it was because I had not seen this option before and I wondered what he would say.

Never mind. I think I solved this problem? I was watching my power settings yesterday, and created a new plan instead of using Dell recommended. I looked earlier and once again clicked on Dell recommended that changed the button is red and normal normal message. I guess I learned something!

I want to make it harder for the closing of Firefox. I'm used to hitting Close when I finish what I'm doing. But I recently started to let Firefox to save passwords. Every time I start Firefox it ask the master password. I would avoid this problem by letting remain open but hidden. Old habits life hard, and I doubt if I'll learn not to hit families rather than minimize. It would also be useful if the X to close a tab does not appear when there is that one tab open, like hitting is another way to close Firefox by accident.

I came across an add-in for Outlook that makes the close button minimize instead of closing. (Keepoutlookrunning). I wonder if it could be adapted to work as well for Firefox.

As a secondary issue, when I start Firefox master password request does not come to the top immediately. Thus, forgetting that the application appears, start typing in the address bar or search. Arises from the request, and what I'm typing goes in his field of password to the place where I was typing. I think would br better if demand did not move to focus on herself.

Firefox will ask you the password the first time, he needs to access the password manager (form on the web page; Sync).

  • If I open show history, I can't close it. There are two gray arrows that do not work but no close button. With the help of el capitan for mac.

I can't show all close the page of history. I used to be able to before the upgrade to el capitan. Now, there is no close button on the history page. It doesn't go away until I got close FF.

Feel free to undo changes. You may need to quit Firefox first to release the files currently in use.

In addition, you should be able to close the dialog box library using Cmd + w (close tab) or Cmd + Shift + w (close window). Or does any of these work for you?

  • Minimize, maxamise and close buttons disappear on firefox after you open the laptop.

When I'm at school I run firefox in a single class. A lot of times I must leave firefox running on my laptop and go to another class and start from there when I left. As soon as my laptop him minimize, maximize and close buttons and sometimes other buttons completely dissipear. I am running windows 8.1 completely up to date, and my firefox is updated to the latest version. I also tried to turn off 'use of hardware acceleration when available' as a parameter, and yet none of this has contributed to the problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver.

Today, after updating my windows 8.1 PC, I noticed him minimize, maximize and close buttons disappeared from my browser. It is an empty box of blue in the upper right now, with no functionality. How can I get my back buttons?

    Hello
    Thank you for your suggestions.
Fortunately, just after I started this thread the problem magically itself. The problem could be the style - add on. I've changed the style several times to try to resolve this problem, because I noticed that my custom style disappeared as well, and after that the icons reappear.
    Problem solved!

  • Minimize, maximize and close buttons missing in Vista

No minimize, maximize and close buttons are on Vista, is by clicking in the appropriate box performs the action.

Disabled the transparency of Vista, then power. When I open Firefox (narmally, not in safe mode) buttons have reappeared. Seems related to the "tabs on top" setting, as the "list all tabs" button (normally at the end of the tabs, appeared at the top on the right, where the "Close" button should be.

  • I need to remove "minimize, maximize, close" buttons on the mode full screen

I can remove all the buttons (like refresh, back, forward, address bar, etc.), but the small right 3 "minimize, maximize, close" buttons I can't delete, how can I do it with userChrome.css or another option.
Because I can close firefox out of the full screen and clicking on the menu of archive with the ' Alt ' key.
I don't want this small 3 buttons, I can hide and show permanent.

    I hope to explain correctly
    Thank you very much

Add code to userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #autohide-context { display:none!important; } /* hide context menuitem "Exit Full Screen Mode" */
    #window-controls { display:none!important; } /* hide window controls in full screen mode */

  • How can I do tab close buttons always visible for all tabs?

I have the value "1" browser.tabs.closeButtons setting or "display the buttons close all tabs", but the problem is, whenever I have about 6-10 tabs open (varies according to the size of the screen) the close buttons disappear except for the active tab. I like to keep the close buttons available, at least to make a button close appears when I go on the tab with my mouse, so I can't switch to it or right click on it to close it...

What has not worked? What happened when you tried?

Another suggestion, take a look in the system logs and errors and warnings and post here Event Viewer Application copies. Do not post on that more than 48 hours ago.

You can access event viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, and Event Viewer. When searching for the meaning of the error, information about the event ID, Source and Description are important.

A tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. You will see a button resembling two pages. Click on the button and close Event Viewer. This places a copy of the report to your Clipboard. Paste it into the body of your message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

    Hope this helps, Gerry Cornell

  • Minimize/maximize/close buttons does not...

Minimize/maximize/close buttons do not work when you run Aero.  Whenever I change my Aero, reduce it and expand buttons work but the close button still does not work.  This happens with all the windows and I'll have to use the Task Manager to close the windows and I have to close the task with the exit button Manager because the close button does not work on either.
