CNVSetArrayDataValue prototype

I sought the help of CVI 2009 for service (CNVSetArrayDataValue) and I found:

int CNVSetArrayDataValue (CNVData data, CNVDataType type, const void *array, size_t numberOfDimensions, size_t dimensions);...dimensions size_t The array dimensions of the network variable data. The length of the array you pass for this parameter must be greater than or equal to the value specified by the numberOfDimensions parameter

but when compiling, I got the error should "pointer to size_t"

So I think that it is an error in the documentation.

If someone could confirm this?

Thanks again, Vix.

This one is actually a bigger problem. The documentation is correct in the function CNVSetScalarDataValue Panel, but somehow, when the online help was generated from using function Panel, all the parameters of va_list seem to have been generated in a vacuum *, instead of any type. For the moment, in case of doubt, please give priority to documentation in the panels of the function.

This, so the incorrect documentation of CNVSetArrayDataValue, are very serious problems that are permanently fixed for the next version.

My apologies.

Luis

  • Error: (Operation Ilegal on object wrapped native prototype) after the new security update

    I have Firefox installed on a HP Presario Quad 64, 22 running the Version to the Windows 7 home page. Firefox has been running and update what I got the last (20130618035212) update published on June 3, 2013, and it installed today. After the installation of the error: illegal operation on the object wrapped in native Prototype) appears several times during the opening and one or two times on each operation, I do it, on any page thereafter. I don't know what the reason for this error, or that the update can be interacting with. I noticed that there seems to be no way to selectively remove a security update of in Firefox it's automatic, I can remove it from windows Add/Remove to see if it is the cause rather than remove the Firefox it's self and re-install. I did have a problem with Firefox for a long time now that I have become much too relaxed in my security, I must admit it took me by surprise. Any help or information would be fantastic.

    Hello

    Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

    (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

    Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

    If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

    To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

    When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • prototype of the project file information

    I have a request where I build a dll and the functions in the dll must be packaged for use in other software. I am creating the function wrapper for text file automatically. Ideally I ould like to use only the file of the project to do, but there is some information that I don't see in the file.

    I don't see where the prototype of the function. For this reason, I tried to build to the VIProtoInfo I can get all the parameter names, if they are controls or indicators and can determine is that they are chains, but I do not see the data type of other types of controls. I also don't see a way to determine what source for what vi. I know that I could open the screw ' and align stuff but I'm hoping for a cleaner solution.

    Is there a documentation available that could help me to find out this information?

    When you build the DLL, it will also produce a .h header file that contains the function prototypes of the functions in the DLL. Look at the photo 'exit for build specification' - you will see the generated files: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/A3804F88FCDB1E6286257CE00043C1A7

  • TestStand said modified prototype

    When starting my TestStand complains that the prototype of a VI changed the main sequence. The file has been opened and saved inadvertently, but comparison tools shows some differences between the archived version and the working version. This vi is affected dozens if not hundreds of times, then it will be a major undertaking to stop at each place TS complains and reload the prototype.

    Why think TS that the prototype has changed? Is there an easier way to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Bug 4.2 and 4.2.1. Use "tools > update VI calls" as a workaround.

  • Error prototype missing LockWorkStation.

    I'm missing prototype error when I call the LockWorkStation sdk function.

    I've included window.h. (First file)

    What Miss me?

    Add this before Windows.h if you don't have XP

    #define _WIN32_WINNT 0 x 0501

    Other values for the different versions of the Win operating system. (0 x 0500 for Win2K, 0 x 0600 for Vista for example).

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/6sehtctf.aspx

    This is an OS-specific function, you must specify which OS you're targeting.    The prototype is in winusers.h, but it is guarded by a check of the version of the OS.

  • error: implicit declaration of function 'GetActiveProcessorCount' is not valid in C99. Make sure that you include the prototype for the function.

    I get the following error:

    error: implicit declaration of function 'GetActiveProcessorCount' is not valid in C99. Make sure that you include the prototype for the function.

    I've included windows.h

    which includes winbase.h

    Winbase.h contains the prototype for the function in the above error message.

    If I disable 'Require the function prototypes' and 'Building with the C99 extensions', I get the following error:

    error: Undefined symbol "_GetActiveProcessorCount" referenced in "c:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\CVI\HDLC\cvibuild. HDLC_RandD\Debug\HDLC_RandD.obj ".

    I work in the ICB 2013 SP2.

    Why I get this error.

    This function is only valid in Windows 7 and later versions. Because the ICB 2013 still supports Windows XP, this feature is excluded by default from Windows headers that are provided with CVI. If you do not need to worry about the versions of Windows prior to Windows 7, however, you can include it yourself, by adding the following macro in the dialog box options generation CVI (be sure to include for all configurations):

  • require external dll function prototypes

    Greetings,

    in the compilation of the CVI Options, I checked "function prototypes require" because I think it's a useful security measure. The project includes about 30 files that all work fine except one that relies on the functions provided by an external DLL.

    As a result, these function calls are not prototyped and I get the error 'missing prototype.

    I could imagine two solutions:

    -find a way to functions external prototype

    -exclude a file of this compilation option

    I prefer the first version and doubt that the second option is possible.

    So here's how to use the DLL:

    a typical function call looks like this: (* ext_dll_Continue) (instrument);

    where the address is obtained through ext_dll_Continue = GetProcAddress (ext_dll, "Continuous");

    and ext_dll_Continue has been defined as

    FARPROC ext_dll_Continue = NULL;

    Help how prototype such a function call would be most welcome - thanks!

    Wolfgang

    I do this kind of thing all the time in the CVI. I use the following general method:

    typedef __declspec (dllexport) int (* pfint1) (int); This definition corresponds to that in the .h file

    pfint1 continue;                                    This will be our reference to the external function

    Continues = GetProcAddress (pfint1) (dllHan, "Continuous"); dllHan presumed valid here

    Val = continue (param);                             Call the function in the dll

    Presents all works without warnings. (Prototypes required box ticked.) Of course, you can present different typdefs for the various models of different prototypes that you plan to use.

  • Update of prototypes

    I added a case to a case statement that calls a particular VI based on the enumerated value passed in. There are 28 cases. Then when I tried to run TestStand he complained of mismatch of prototype for these 28 screws I had to visit all the places that they have been asked to TestStand and click on the red dot to update the prototypes.

    Is there a faster way to update the VI prototypes massively?

    Thank you

    JVH

    JVH,

    which version of TS are you using?

    Since TS 4.1, in my view, there is the "update VI Call" - tool:

    hope this helps,

  • TestStand - dynamically retrieve a prototype of code module

    Hi all

    Thank you for reading me

    I am currently trying to find little code (if it exists), or some ideas/directions to automatically retrieve a prototype of code module.

    This code can be written in any language (LabVIEW, C, TestStand, or other)

    My final goal is to scan a directory for screws, dll (and so on) and get their prototype in order to have an external database generator module filled code.

    Where there is no such thing as this code, could you please let me know what methods I could interact with the TS engine to retrieve a code module.

    Best regards.

    Hello

    This c# example you will see what needs to be done to get the list of parameters

    SequenceCallModule objModule is step (SequenceCallModule). Module;  Just a note: only if you're sure it's a SeqenceCall
    objModule.UseCurrentFile = true;
    objModule.SequenceName = strSeqName;
    objModule.UseSequenceParameterPrototype = false;
    objModule.LoadParametersFromSequence (sequence); Parameters SequenceCallParameters = objModule.Parameters;

  • How to reload the prototype and to keep the settings?

    Hello

    I changed my Labview 7.11 for the latest labview 2012.

    Now, I have a few express-vi-teststeps in 2012 Teststand.

    In the testplan it says that I must update the prototypes because they have been configured with labview 7.1.1 and are not compatible with lv2012.

    When I click the blue arrow and then the prototype is reloaded, the labview icon is shown and the teststeps is running again.

    The problem is that after reloading all custom values for the VI input variables are lost and the default value is displayed (configured settings of express-vi).

    I also changed the prototype in the types.ini, but this seems to be only valid for the new inserted teststeps.

    So what I need, is something like a 'reload all prototypes with parameter values.

    How can I do this?

    Thanks for help

    Please use update tool vi

    Open your test sequence...

    Go to tools - update vi calls (this should LV dev on your system)

    In the vi's explicit appeal process - option - select Reload if modified prototype

    This should solve the problem.
