  • Get a Code 10 error "this device cannot start' for my optical drive

    Hello

    I am running a Dell Studio 540 with the following specifications:

    Processor: Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz

    RAM: 4 GB

    HD: 750 GB 7200 RPM SATA

    Graphics card: nVidia 9800GT 512MB

    OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

    All the drivers and BIOS are up-to-date.

    My current optical drive is an Optiarc DVD +-RW AD-7200 s ATA Device Unit which has now disappeared from "My Computer". By opening the Device Manager, it has a small yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside. When I click on it that a new window will open and in the device status area, he said:

    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    Currently, I have tried two methods without success. First, I downloaded the latest drivers/firmware for the optical drive directly from the Dell Web site, but to try to install, I get an error box saying that the "target drive is not properly".

    I also ran the Mats_Run.devices of the Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting services who correctly identified the problem, but said he could not address them and directed me to these forums.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time,

    Hello

    The Code 10 error code is generated when the Device Manager has not enough information or error that spread upwards by device drivers is not recognized by Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.

    As you have already tried updating the drivers for the device, you can just go through the article that talks about the Code 10 error.

    It does not recognize my S4 where before he did.
    I now can not get it to pair because he does not see.

    I looked around but have not been able to find the code example for single asynchronous reading of multiple waveforms.  Could someone point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

    Dale

    Hi Dale,

    Have you looked at the code using .NET Framework DAQmx example? It shows this code:

    class DAQmxAsyncRead
    {
    private AnalogSingleChannelReader reader = null;

    public DAQmxAsyncRead (task t)
    {
    Create the drive
    Reader = new AnalogSingleChannelReader (t.Stream);
    Acquire 100 samples
    Handful of IAsyncResult = reader. BeginReadMultiSample (100, New AsyncCallback (OnDataReady), null);
    }

    Public Sub OnDataReady (IAsyncResult i)
    {
    Recover data that has been read.
    At this point, all that occurred during the asynchronous read exceptions are thrown
    Double data = reader. EndReadMultiSample (i);

    You can call the method BeginReadMultiSample here once again
    }
    }

    In addition, this article: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/485201B647950BF886257537006CEB89?OpenDocument talk about different causes of the reserved resource error.

I installed a gang self-powered USB 2.0 w/10 usbs, sometimes it turns on at startup, sometimes not and I re - plug for my system to recognize. I don't see the error messages for the band, but I got an error for 2G USB - stick in the Device Manager: code 31, tried to reinstall a driver or driver update, but it says driver is up to date. the appliance works once it is on. Is that what the problem of the USB - stick or tape USB? Also, at startup I get all my other USB devices including media Pocket Bay K: entry w/PC OEM pop ups asking what I want to do and if I want to scan or to execute without scan, I tried scanning to see and it did nothing, I didn't not lose my media in the device either. I also code 10 for my reader to CD-DVD E: that ejects and turns but does not load the driver so I don't see anything, I tried all the suggestions, reload driver, Plug connections, high-low own filters, re - install the driver, all to nothing does not. • Error code 19 for my ROM... The drivers are up to date... How can I fix it? Thank you...

    I get the error code 19... My drivers are up to date... How to fix this?

    Hello

    19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

    Please make all underneath the same if you've done it before as it's often the total of the process which
    solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
    Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
    RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

    Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
    them before.

    I have referred to these readers as R: and S:, they do not appear when I open 'my computer '. None of my media players see these discs. Earlier, I would put in one of these drives dvd or cd, and immediately started to my Media Player nominated. Thank you.

    Hello

    It is not uncommon, in fact more expected than a question as this affects both drives.

    19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

    Having too many CD/DVD programs can cause strange problems, especially if they're loading of parts of them.
    Selves at the start because they will be competing for resources. This does not mean that this problem was caused by
    These however is a possibility depending on which and how many you have installed.

    Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

    Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and

    I am looking for replacement ssd drive for my Lenovo X61s. Initially, I decided it's going to be Intel X - 25 V 40 GB or 80 GB X 25 - M.

    I found the following Intel with apparently the same settings on the SSD market. I have visited many sites, I searched and there is no explanation of the codes and how they differ. Maybe some of you has such a comparison.
