Code 643

My PC was not able to install the update of security for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB886903) but I also it can not remove it from the list to install.  What I can do.  My error code is 643.

Hi RYR_717,

Please see the following link for the Microsoft KB article to download The Windows Installer CleanUp utility. When you go to download it follow these steps:

1 Select this option to Save and put it on your desktop

2. click right msicuu2.exe (for Windows Installer CleanUp Utility) and select run as administrator.

3. follow the wizard to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility

Now, click Start>all programs>Windows Installer CleanUp utility (provide administrator rights if prompted). Now, try to locate and remove the software .net Framework, after doing so, restart your computer.

Now, download and install the Redistributable Package of NET Framework 1.1 and the update:

1.       Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package

2.       Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1

We hope this resolves the issue and look forward to hearing back from you on your results.

Have you done SFC scan as suggested earlier?

If you have done SFC scan and yet the problem persists, follow these steps:

Create a system restore Point manually, in case a problem occurs during the execution of these steps, you can always perform aSystem Restore until you created last.

    Hello

You are unable to download the updates?

Try the following steps to resolve the problem:

Method 1: Temporarily disable any security (including firewalls) software and check if the problem persists.

    Check out these links:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

If disabling the security software solves the problem, then contact the manufacturer of the specific security software to fix the problem.

Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable
your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are
connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2:
See the article mentioned below and run the Fixit diagnostic tool to fix the error 643.

You receive error code 80070643 0 x or 0 x 643, code error when you use the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates:

  • Code 643 when tried to install updates

    Original title: Code 643

I keep having this error happen when you try to install it as it is recommended. I don't know what to do about this. I read that someone said to install it manually, but I don't know how to do this. I would also like to know if this is what causes the computer to break and get a blue screen?
