Code flashing on Satellite Pro 6050
IA´ve Satellite Pro 6050... 3 years old.
In December 2005, the laptop got a new Mainboard due to damaged printer port.
In January 2006, the laptop fell on the floor and worked afterwards is no longer.
I changed the screen and found a loose capacitor.
He was missing out on the power supply Board.
In this way, I changed the power Board (not for 6050, but for 6100) and after that, I get every time a flashing code:
What it means?
Well, the flashing code means that there is something wrong with the hardware.
The short means 0 and 1:
According to your suggestion it is s: 1010 0010
Note of pleas; You have to read it back. 0100 0101 = 45 h
But I put t know what 45 h means.
Please also consult this forum announcement:
I received a Satellite pro 6050 which had Vista installed on it, I downgraded it to XP, but the port RCA no longer works (worked on vista).
Can anyone suggest a solution?
> I have the display mode to extend the desktop on the second monitor, and I think it sends the output SVGA mailed rather than the TV output
This could be the key; try to use the FN + F5 keys until you have to spend on TV and not on the external monitor.
Dear COMPUTER gurus,
I have a portable Satellite Pro A200.
When I ping the local host, it says could not contact the pilot of intellectual property, error code 2.
I tried to fix the winsock using articles from microsoft without success.
Now I want to reapair the operating system using the recovery DVD.
The recovery DVD has a repair option?
If this isn't the case, anyone how to solve this problem?
This is the result, I was using the pc diagnostic tool.

> I tried to fix the Winsock by using the Microsoft s articles with no luck
I guess you're meaning to this MS article knowledge base:
[How to determine and to recover from Winsock2 corruption in Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and in Windows Vista: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811259]
Well, I searched a bit around and discovered that the solution described in article 811259 doesn t help in all cases
So searched the Web of the 3rd party site and someone has suggested to try these tips.
It s also from Microsoft:
* [How to reset the Protocol Internet (TCP/IP) in Windows XP | http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357] *.
So check it out maybe it helps
If not, then you may be forced to reinstall your operating system, because the repair option is not included in the Toshiba Recovery CD ;(
Someone has encountered this problem before? My 6050 Pro Satellite refuses to turn on.
There is no indication of activity when I press the button 'on', but when it is plugged into the "trendy area" power and "recharge battery" are turned on. I tried the same battery in another laptop and it starts well (remove a battery missed as cause of the problem).
Any thoughts... ? Your help is most appreciated.
I think the problem is the power button. If you press it, and there is no reaction, it must be faulty. So, you can only go to a SPA to get this repaired.
Please can someone help.
I don't get all the sounds from my laptop.
In Device Manager and in the properties of this device of Yamaha AC - XG he says it cannot start and quotes a "Code 10" error
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I still have the same problem.
Can someone tell me what is the Code 10 and how to solve the problem.
Seems there is some problem with the audio driver of Yamaha.
I read in many forums that the audio driver of Yamaha does not support the Windows XP service pack 1 and 2.
Seems that you need to update the audio driver.
Please Google for the latest version!
I bought 2 RAM sodimm 512 MB kingston KVR266X64SC25/512.
When I insert one of them with is a sodimm RAM (128 MB), the departure of SP6050 without problem, and the bios shows the amount of Ram is 640 MB (the 2 Ram sodimm is ok)
But when I insert the two kingston sodimm Barrette, it do not start: there is no noise, there is no system, no configuration check.
Thank you for your help
He s strange because I checked the maximum memory that you can use and it s 1024MB. In this case, it should be possible to use 2x512MB.
The unit uses DDR - Ram modules. This is a problem.
I also checked these modules and the modules support has recommend:
PC2100 128 MB (PA3126U - 1 M 12)
PC2100 256 MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25)
PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51)
I'm a novice guy with computers.
Well, I re-formated my laptop and re-installed all the drivers, but my wirless lan controller does not seem to be in my device manager.
I was just wondering, if the driver needed to be installed in a certain order. I also had my add on the Vodaphone mobile card plugged into slot on the side that would make a difference?
in any well any help would be great
As far as I know that the WLan card was optional on this unit. In this case, if you bought the device with wireless network card that WLAN should appears in Device Manager. But if you bought the laptop without the WLan card you won't find it in Device Manager.
PS: The recovery CD already includes the WLan driver and you don't need to t in addition no driver to install.
The guide shows the Toshiba SD-R2102 as one of the internal drives for machine of HRT (supplied with the CD-ROM). So I bought one. Running XP and when I install the hardware is not recognized at boot, or in Device Manager. Looked at the site to support my BIOS is the last and can find no driver there or on my tools disk.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
As far as I know your device has a Slim select Bay. If the drive is not in a good position and there is no proper contact of the reader doesn t exist for the system. Please check if the disc is in the correct position. If you put it inside at the end to do a click. After that, the reader is correctly positioned.
When I tried to turn on my Satellite Pro 6100 laptop the Green DC in power light turned orange and started to blink.
It flashes 5 times, then 3 times then repeats.
I guess that this indicates a failure in the system, but where can I find what means this error code?
You can read the flashing code very easily short flashing means 0 long average 1.
Then you read the complete code back.
Finally, the error code must be converted into HEXADECIMAL value and then a technician of the laptop could know what means this value.
The ASP in your country should provide details of the mentioned error.
I just bought the laptop above Satellite Pro A40 (psa45e - 0184 h - en), which came with a generic power.
The great laptop worked until the other night.
The light on the power supply is on, output is 15 Volt, turns on the laptop at the front, an orange light comes on and blinks 5 then 2 then 1, I guess the 521 error code.
Unplug everything and the light goes out then two green lights turns on, then laptop has started twice and started upward (running xp) but then freezes.
I guess the power supply stopped working and the chip has noticed the problem.
Can anyone confirm the fault error is feeding or is there something else wrong.
Need to know before you buy the Toshiba power, I don't want to lose more money.
How much is your generic AC adapter?
The amps must be the same or greater than what your laptop needs. You can view the Volts + Amp requirements based on the laptop (serial sticker).
So if the laptop needs 15v 8A... you need a 15v 8A or 9A 15v or AC adapter / higher CC.
If the amps are too weak, in the custom of mobile devices get enough power and could cause damage.
You should get yourself a good Toshiba adapter for peace of mind. Cheap generics can be more trouble than they are worth.
I have a probelem big, my Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 lights so I decided to buy a new motherboard @ ebay.
I have to build in and all I get is an orange error code. So I decide to make me buy a testet PCB (Powerboard) on Ebay, then the same thing! Then I bought a second Geforce but the same error code! So I all exchanged but the processor and I'm ascendant to buy a second to test or do you know Whata´s evil?
I don't think that the new parts are broken!
The error, the code of the orange Led is 01000011 or short, long, short, short, short, short, long, long and I did not see what maybe the problem!
Sorry for my broken English I come from Germany!
Hope for answers and greetings
How do you know what the flashing of led said you? You are a sort of technician? How can you know that the "blink" (long, short) are 0 and 1.
Do you know how to assemble the circuit board and don't you know that the things you have take care? Who PCB´s that you have exchanged?
Hand and VGA
but the powerpcb too? And how do you know that the PCB´s are ok? Because why someone is selling you that with the 'work' of description?
Would appreciate some feedback from you
I have a weird problem that I can't solve.
(1) when my Satellite Pro M10 the plugged AC adapter and the battery, the AC led is green and battery led is orange.
(2) when I try to turn it on, several times it not light and the dissepear of leds for 1 or 2 seconds and my AC led flashes orange. Sometimes it lights up as it should be.
When this problem occurs, it will take a lot of time before it turns normally. I searched the internet for a solution, but I couldn't find one.
I already removed the battery and try to turn it on, but it does not solve the problem. Or when I remove the AC adapter and try to start it on the battery itself.
I also removed the two of them and you press the button power on for 60 seconds. After that, it will sometimes start with mains or battery adapter.
My bios is updated to the latest version. (I've done this when he started only five minutes ago, but the problem is not resolved). I also believe that when the m10 is enabled and when I close it, it crashes also.
Do anyone know how to solve the poblem? Thanks in advance.
These problems are very rare and shouldn't t happen if hardware or software is ok.
Power LED blinking orange means there could be a hardware malfunction.
It is a code flashing microphone and a technician can be read.
This code must be translated into the hexadecimal digit.
But for ordinary users it s not able to know what it means. In my opinion a power electronic malfunctions and must be verified by an ASP.
I have a Satellite Pro 6100 when I press the power button and HDD lights up briefly then powerlight blinks.
It seems to Flash a pattern: on (2 sec) flashes (2 seconds) then off (about 8 times)
What he told me? No fan, no display no hardrive is active.
Food is ok because it load battery.
I bought it as it would be something easy to fix ideas?
It sounds bad
Generally, the power led will blink due to a malfunction of the equipment.
The LED provides a microcode and only the technician can read this code.
A common user is not able to read.
Maybe you'll be able to read this code, but you won't find any description about the meaning of the code.
I recommend you contact the technician in your country
But try this:
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait severla times and then plug in the battery and plug in the AC adapter.
If this does not help, you have aks, a complementary technician...
I was sitting watching a video with my daughter yesterday when five minutes in my Satellite Pro A100 suddenly stopped working - cut out completely and not be reactivated. When I tried to restart the orange lit battery eleven short blinks blinked, and nothing else has happened. The battery has been low for some time, so we always run the AC adapter. The adapter is currently connected, but there is no blue light charge as I expect.
With the battery removed do not get the flashes orange. With the battery and power adapter, I get the flashes orange.
I was wondering if the AC adapter was missing, and we do not have a "low battery" warning because we were watching a video. That would explain the lack of charge indicator. When we get the flashes orange, we get this from the small amount of residual charge of the battery.
Can anyone back this idea up - or anyone who can interpret the error code?
This means that you are able to start your computer or battery or AC/DC adapter only, good point?
Well, theoretically it might be possible that AC/DC adapter is defective.
When you try to start your laptop, nothing happens, right?
In the best case, you know a friend who has the same AC/DC adapter, so you can test if the AC adapter is defective or not. Otherwise a professional diagnosis of an ASP would be necessary.
