Code Toshiba Power Saver Fatal Error 0x51A Tecra M9
I just bought 5 Tecra M9 and I have the same problem with them whenever I start the laptop:
"TOSHIBA Power Saver.
A fatal error has occurred. This program will be terminated code 0x51A'
And sometimes:
"TPSMain.exe Application error".
The application failed to initialize properly (0 x 0000043). Click OK to close the application '
If I try to open Toshiba Power Saver utility from the control panel it return me to select power mode Toshiba in the list of management of power supply in Power Options, but there is not any diagram power Toshiba on the list.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Hello
Have you tried to reinstall the Toshiba power saver utility?
Please do it!
I had a similar problem of Eve on my laptop satellite.
I finally solved this problem by reinstalling the energy saving and the utility of Modules common Toshiba.
The common modules are required to run other programs from Toshiba as for example energy saving.
Just another clue; especially this program error appears because of a corrupted registry.
You can use the freeware like CCleaner to clean the registry entries.
Best regards

Re: Toshiba Power Saver fatal error. Code 0 x 0
Hi all
I recently received this new notebook Tecra M10 (model PTMB0A - 00M 001) replace my laptop to existing business. It came loaded with Windows XP and built by the standard portable computer generation.
It works fine except that at startup I get the error message "a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x0.
I did some research and I think that the original version may have been compromised, because there aren't has no files in the directory C:\Program Toshiba Saver except for a TPSTrace.log that has this message inside: "a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x0 rental: TPwrSave.cpp (140). The Power Saver software claims to be v7.11.00.
I downloaded the latest version 7.11.10 (for XP) and when you try to install, the software asks you if it can uninstall the existing version and as it tries, the fatal error code: 0 x 0 occurs which always uninstall, and I suppose that reinstall it. It seems a pity to restore from CD lose all data and other software that is very good because of this software pooey to save energy. Given the original installation was probably standard, there is no guarantee that even if I do a system restore on CD the same problem not re - manifests.
Is there a way I can do XP think software is deleted (it seems to be absent physically, but XP think it is present) by forcing an uninstall. I can then try to reinstall it to see if I can do better than what it was when it was delivered to me. Otherwise, I'd be more than happy to just work without it, for the trouble it causes.
Thanks in advance.
Raymond
You must delete it from the registry.
Try CCleaner first, it may be able to remove the bad registry for you keys. (google for "CCleaner")
Otherwise, run Regedit, and then search for "to sleep". Make sure that you delete, in order to ensure the results refer to Toshiba Power Saver.
PS. back up the registry first. You can do this by creating a Restore Point in Windows. (Panel of-> system)

TOSHIBA Power Saver - fatal error OX50
Hello
Recently, I have a big problem, my Toshiba power saver.
It triggers a fatal error OX50 and I tried reinstalling several times and it doesn't work.
Please how can help me solve this problem?Hello
Fatal error with Power Saver hmm I read a few threads on similar problems and it does seem that the completely OS restore Toshiba recovery CD could help settle the energy saver
But may I ask if you install all the drivers in the correct order?
Usually the installation instructions are always placed on the page of the Toshiba driver and it s necessary to follow this guideline. -
Satellite P200: Cannot open the Power Saver - fatal error in Windows XP Home edition
Hello
I just installed XP and I came across a problem that is boring. When I finished to install Power Saver and the driver, I got a message saying fatal error and I thought it was because I haven't restarted. Then, after only a day or 2 later I went to the energy saver and he said cannot open because you don't have access rights to "Toshiba Power Saver.
Is there a solution to this
Neo-TechHello
I put t know if this is a solution but try my proposal:
First of all, remember that you are registered as an administrator or make sure that you have administrator rights.Remove your old system energy saving. You must remove the driver and utility.
Then reinstall the computer and clean the registry using the freeware like CCleaner. Then install the driver of saver of power and after reboot the new install standby power plant.
I hope it helps

Tecra A9 - Blocking Power Saver - fatal error code: 0 x 2
Hello
Today, when I turned on my computer the energy saver has started planting.
I rebooted the computer several times and the result is always a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. Code: 0x2.Even this error appears when I try to reinstall the application.
Perhaps it has something to do with SP3, I have installed a couple a days ago.Someone has an idea?
Martin Vassilev.
I saw this error for a long time with Windows XP Home edition. In my opinion it has nothing to do with SP3.
My experience says that you will not be able to solve this problem. There is something wrong in the registry entries and reinstalling will not help. One method can help, OS install new one, more radical using recovery media.

TOSHIBA Power Saver 0x7E error
Hello.
It's the short history of XP on my Satellite A200 - 14 d:
I can't stand Vista, therefore 2 or 3 days after the purchase of my laptop and try Vista, I decided to install my WinXP Pro. At first, it was REALLY hard for me to find drivers. I even installed some Tohiba not who, by the way worked just fine. Then Toshiba began to publish its own non-experimental pilots and I was happy. Everything worked well. After almost a year I was "forced" to reinstall my OS (once again: WinXP Pro). Everything went according to plan, and after 30 minutes, I was greated by the Windows XP Welcome screen. The first task was to install the appropriate drivers.
Well, very well. I downloaded the latest drivers before reinstalling and kept them on another partition, I was ready to go. I opened the file TXT "new facility" and began to install everything on this list (which of course I downloaded from the Toshiba site). I installed all the drivers in the line, they must be installed (although I don't really know what that some of them may be of no use to me, like a fingerprint, since I have no such thing, but fine - I can't live without a few megabytes :)) until the famouse "Power Saver Utility" has come.) I read in many forums here on this problem, but I never found a solution :(:(:(
When I tried to install the utility, it spits out an error message with code 0x7E (?). Whenever I boot my OS, this triumph of message on my desk ruin my mood :( I tried to uninstall it (although it is not completely installed - the only thing that shows something on this subject is an icon of the control panel which, pressing on, says that I don't have sufficient rights to access the file (even IF I'm in administrative Mode) and registry keys, which does nothing (I removed it and always appear the messages that I mentioned above)).
I tried to remove it, but once again with error 0x7E message at the beginning of uninstallation. I even REINSTALLED my OS again and again by installing Power Saver mistakes occur :(:(:( This surprises me a lot, because I've never had such a problem before even the fact that I have not followed the installation instructions. I really need a solution to this. I want to install Vista and the recovery disc. I would if I knew there was no average athor, but I'm sure there is because of the fact that I had no problems before.
Yes, everyone throws - help. Because without energy saver, my laptop is like your desktop PC, that is--needs to stay connected with alternating current :( And it is not appropriate for a laptop.
PS: I forgot to mention - no change in the BIOS has been done, although I don't think that this has nothing to do with my problem.

Hello
I put t know exactly what's wrong, but I remember these problems might appear if the drivers, tools, and utilities are installed in the correct order.
The installation instructions document is no doubt placed on the page of the Toshiba driver.
I recommend that you check these documentsBut why you don t use the Toshiba Recovery CD. This CD allows you to install the operating system with all the necessary tools and drivers much faster and easier.

Qosmio G20, Toshiba Power saver error
When I turn the Qosmio G20, I have a message "Toshiba Power Saver, fatal error has occurred, this program will end. Code 0 x 2»
I click on the 'ok' button and can use the computer, but after using for a while (about 1 hour for example), it becomes very slow. I check the Task Manager and find that "ccSvcHst.exe" takes up 99-100% of CPU usage. I have to turn power off, then again to use another 1 or 2 hours before slowing down again.
Help, please.Have you tried to delete Toshiba saving energy of the system and see if the laptop will slow down again?
Have you tried to reinstall Toshiba power saver?

Fatal error of TOSHIBA Power Saver 0x51A on Satellite M115-S3094
Hello
By the subject, that's the problem. Unfortunately, my computer which is Toshiba M115-S3094 has just recently a fatal error with the Toshiba Power Saver program like 3 days ago. The Toshiba Power Saver not only does not want to work, but it is even more present in the taskbar. First, I went to the properties to be able to restore the program, but nothing helped.
Then I tried to uninstall and then reinstall the program, and he always gave me the same problem with the error: the program ends. Error fatal 0x51A. Right now, my laptop does not on the mode of power supply Toshiba but on common Windows system, such as the presentation or the laptop.
So I need help to restore the Toshiba Power Saver. I run Toshiba M115-S3094 with Windows Media Center Edition.
Hello
Satellite M115 seems to be a Toshiba laptop because of the 5 at the end of the number.
In this case, you must use the Toshiba on the Toshiba site energy saving us. Did you?Maybe you used the right utility electricity saver, so possibly that some registry or system files keys are damage in this case install the new OS for the Toshiba Recovery CD would be desirable.

Hello
First of all, you knew that this laptop was designed for the U.S. market and all the drivers, tools or any other Toshiba utility should be used on the Toshiba site we.
http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_sc_home.jspPlease make sure that you have already installed Toshiba ACPI common Modules before as you continue to any other Toshiba Software installation.
An important tip; the Toshiba power saver profile must be selected in the Windows power options! Don t forget!

Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 & Power Saver stop error
Hello!
I am struggling with this problem for months... the latest version of Eve on my toshiba satellite pro m30 running windows xp with service pack 1 installed gives a message box with an error message when the stop and I'm unable to eliminate this error. Unfortunately, I can't consider reinstall the system from scratch, because there are many other applications installed and I can't lose the settings for them. I read the forums and realized I'm not one of the problems with toshiba power saver. I'm even lucky to successfully at startup started it! Yet, it hangs at shutdown. It's pretty boring. also, I downloaded all the latest updates of this site for my laptop, including even the bios update.
I would like the opportunity to be able to download the version without toshiba this site energy saving bug, and I'm sure many other people would appreciate the patch too!
any comment on that?
Andrew.
Hello
If your laptop is installed correctly it should work well. All the software has been tested. The only reason for your problem may be additional software that you have installed later.
It is also possible that it may be caused by an Antivirus application. Maybe an application runs in the background? There are many reasons that may be responsible for this problem.
If you reinstall your Notebook of recovery CD it will not work properly. It is very unjustifiable to write on some versions bug-free. I sometimes have problems with BONES, but almost always after using some freeware.
Good bye

Tecra M5 - Toshiba Power Saver did not do his job properly
Hello
After looking for a tool to silence my Tecra M5 awhile, I found an apparently nice application called Toshiba Power Saver. Unfortunately this tool doesn't seem to work properly. I played with the [slider cooling method | http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/8008/powersaver.jpg] (click to see a picture) and here's how it works.
The cooling method can be set to one of four options: battery optimized Performance, maximum Performance and cooling optimized, where one is supposed to be the quietest, and those of other more noisy.
Assume that the cpu fan spins at high speed at the start and I do not have anything on my laptop. I move the cursor to the battery optimized setting, click on apply and the fan (instantly) slows down (yay!). Then I need to do something about hunger for a while and finally the fan turns up the noisy power level. I then doing nothing of the brand-new, but the fan is like that * ever *. The processor is as cold as ice, the air is blown could freeze the fingers, but the fan spins like crazy to wake up my neighbours on the road.
I'm really sure that the cpu is cool? Yes. Why?
Because when I move the slider for Performance affecting now and click on apply the fan slows down (right) and remains like that until I start working on something new. Then I stop doing what I was doing and the continuous spinning fan * ever * once again. So I change the method of cooling for battery optimized setting back again once, click on apply and the fan slows down... and so on and so forth, stuck in a vicious circle.
The key to success here is keep pressing the button apply, which the Power Saver application should do from time to time and not me and not forgetting what it is here for.
What is the problem with this app? Is there a fix available (or alternative)?
The version I have is 7.11 and runs on XP Pro SP3.Hello
What about your ad here?
TOSHIBA Power saver is tool Toshiba use for years and it is preinstalled on 98% of all models of Toshiba laptops. So, in my opinion, this tool is certainly one of the best and most effective tool designed by Toshiba.
Over the last 10 years, I have worked with many Toshiba laptops and I used this tool on each laptop to optimize my work. Mix between the good performance of the processor and method of cooling level offers enough power for each working day and with a low level in the method of cooling laptop runs pretty quiet.
Maybe stupid sounds now, but I have noticed that the Portege notebooks are, perhaps, more sensitive and using tool electric saver you cannot have the same effect as on certain portable Satellite and Tecra.
I do not think that this tool doesn't work properly on your Portege but Portege laptops have a specific design and material may reach a higher temperature faster than on the other laptop models.
Portege laptops have excellent and powerful material packed in a box of small notebook.
Sometimes laptop runs quiet and if you just connect the USB mouse the cooling fan starts to run strong enough. A small business can speed up physical activity and if temperature sensors have noticed a higher temperature for a degree C only, the fan control mechanism get information starts to cool the fan turns. It is really not easy to tell if there is something wrong or right. My personal opinion is that everything is OK. You can try to talk with the service of Toshiba. Call them and ask for explanations. They should have enough experience with this stuff.
In any case, good luck!
