codec on movie maker window issues

I imported a lot of videos of my photos, I now have the Internet to window, while file mp4 Movie Maker, without problem, this is the message I get below...   Why did now I need codec?  I don't know how it happened... what program is the best to use to get the codec?  Thank you

"Kung_Fu_Panda_ - _Kung_Fu_Fighting.mp4 cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to re-import the file. »

.. which program is the best to use to get the codec...

Codec is the abbreviation of compression and decompression of that particular video file.

I recommend one of the K-Lite codec packages available here to download and install. The regular package should be enough, but you can opt for the full package. An alternative that I also found useful is the package of codec on the Shark009.net site.

Once you have downloaded the package on your computer, you can right-click on the installation. EXE and run as administrator to avoid any problems with the installation.

How to import video from a DVD movie maker window

    Hello J Choi,

    1. What is the operating system installed on your computer?

    2. what version of Movie maker are you using?

I suggest that you copy the video from the CD on the hard drive of the computer and then import it to create DVDs. Browse the CD and locate the video, copy it to your disk (computer) hard, and then try to import.

  • I can't burn DVD with movie maker window

I use windows vista, and until very recently, I had no problem with windows movie maker.  But during the past year, whenever I try to burn a dvd, it burns at about 40 percent or more and then all of a sudden, it will say 'cannot complete the dvd, 'unknown error'.  Are there any suggestions as to why this might be happening?

    Hello whalelover,.

You can try the problems Troubleshooting Microsoft listed here for problems with burning CD/DVDs .
There is an automatic FIXIT who will scan your computer and fix problems that he sees.

If this does not help, it may be a problem of encoding and you don't have the correct Codec to hole in Movie Maker.

  • Video is not displayed in Windows Live Movie Maker - Windows 7

I have problems with Windows Live Movie Maker on Windows 7. After update to the last version, the preview window left remains black during audio playback. I tried various different clips of different cameras that have been known to work before, and yet they all have the same problem. Thumbnails are displayed on each clip, just no video. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if I have to download something (for example, a codec), I would have certainly preferred it to be from a trusted site. Thank you!

I use the same device which was used to make movies in the past with no problems. The error message is sorry, unable to save your movie. Find missing files or delete the unusable items in your project and then try again. Error: 0 x 87160129

I've never had any problems with this before and made more than 100 movies using WLMM or WMM. Thanks for any help. Would that my camera settings? I use a Lumix.

I just found out what the problem is freakin ' and the solution. If the inserted videos have different "video codec" then it will not work!

Before adding videos to Movie Maker, throw in a video converter and convert them all. (Even if the original format is WMV, convert again to WMV) that will ensure the output videos have the same codec!
This solved the problem for me, hope, it does for you too...
  • The part of transitions in Microsoft Live Movie Maker windows disappears...

    Hello

This program worked for me well but today when I launched a new film, the shutters open annimation (transitions and pan and zoom), but once I applied a transition on the first picture, the transitions pane disappeared and the pan and zoom was left pending.  I could not re-open the transition pane if the abstract (Pane shortcut with less choice) opened once.  Also the buttons 'apply to all' doesn't seem to work.

    Just some thoughts...

It sounds like the complexity of the project that you are
