  I had automatic updates and at 03:00 it will download new updates whenever they come. I guess that 2/10 have been installed the updates that came out and when it automatically restarted my computer, everything was normal on the login screen, but once Windows started, 3-4 seconds and it went black and white. It is not my monitor or my video card, I tried 3 OTHER monitors on this and I own two myself. I need to restore both before the update was installed for my screen to return to the color...   There are a few things to try, that might turn back to normal settings.

  In display settings, try to change the option of colors up to medium (16 bit) and see if that makes a difference. Change to when. You can also change the resolution settngs. Sometimes just by changing the settings can fix the little quirks.

  Have you tried to update video card driver? If this isn't the case, that give a try. You can use the automatic update via the Device Manager, or just go on display card manufacturer's website and download the latest version of the driver.

• is there a way to make the icons remain in the same places and not move when I turned off and restart my desktop computer? I like to keep the icons where I put them.

  Make sure the settings are as the other poster said.

  This could happen if the Explorer doesn't correctly. The positions of icons are saved at the stop.

  As an experience shutdown shut down Windows Explorer.

  • Create and position a file on the desktop.
  • Close Windows Explorer
  • Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator.
  • Click Start. Ctrl + Shift + Right-click on an empty spot (just above the power of buttons is one place) then Exit Explorer.
  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Task Manager.
  • Control all processes to explore are closed. On the process tab see if Explorer is displayed.
   
  Then to restart Explorer
  • Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
  • In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and enter explorer

  Hi, the computer is a Toshiba Satellite Pro running Windows 7.

  Unfortunately, when I talked to him he got terrible echo feedback. He tried to plug the headphones in his computer, but also got terrible feedback when I talked to him. He also cut its speaker and still got feedback.

  When I created my account I fortunately created some designs, then I forgot my password and when I tried repeatedly reset the password, the system gave me a brand new account and lost all of my work.  Very disappointed, how Adobe randomly just deleted my work and then the customer service said they cannot do anything because it's free.  can anyone help? my work could be somewhere in the clouds again.  I used a different email address to create the account...

  I tried for days find an answer to this issue, but have failed. You should also know that I am a self-taught user Adobe Creative Suite. I'm working on a Mac with CS6.

  I work for a small publisher that produces knitting books. The problem is this: our tech editor has created graphics in Illustrator using the color chart of model function. (These are graphic knit. Each square contains a shade of motif representing the knit stitch).

  I then place these cards in their format native .ai in an Indesign file and exporting to PDF. In Acrobat, the charts look fabulous. In the drive of the preview Mac and GoodReader, tables do this...

  I tried to save the graphics as PDF files and putting those in the InDesign file. Does not help. Export diagrams as images (jpg or tif) works, but I need to make ridiculously high resolution/size for the quality of the vector image. I would rather put .ai files in the .indd file if possible.

  Try to use the file > object > expand on a copy of the original before making the PDF for placement.

• After running diagnostics and restart the spooler does not print HP 7000

  I have two HP printers: Officejet 7000 wide format and Officejet Pro 8500 wireless and right now, neither one of them will be printed.  I have run all diagnostics on the 7000 and it indicates that the printer is working correctly.  My OS is Windows 7 64 bit and I got no error message nor have I installed new hardware, etc.   Currently, I have a document 'stuck' in limbo in the two printers.  I restarted the spooler which did not help the cause.  When I try to cancel all documents, it just shows 'delete... '. "and it's not fair.  In addition, I unplugged the usb for the 7000 and unplugged the printer, which did not help either.  It is interesting that both printers do this - I published recently several documents without problem.  Unfortunately, I am preparing for an upcoming class reunion in the coming days and still need to print additional documents.  Naturally, your expertise and your help is greatly appreciated and I hope there is a solution to these problems.  Thanking you in advance for a quick response.
