Color ink cartridge exhausted more quickly

Hello

I recently bought 2515 HP color inkjet printers. The color cartridge is depleted fast [60 printed pages] even under fast draft with impressions of color cover 25%. While HP promises 160 pages per color cartridge when purchasing this product. In fact, this model is known ink printer advantage!.

Can someone help me?

Hello
That is expected for a 25% coverage of color print, HP promises about 200 printing pages with a tricolor 650 ink cartridge color based on ISO 24711, which is equivalent to an average of 5% coverage per page, taking into account the high ink coverage you described quite should be terminated after fewer pages.

You can learn more about how ink usage is measured in the following article:

Kind regards

When one of my color ink cartridges is empty ink, my printer does not print until the ink cartridge is replaced.  Of course, I go out and buy new and install it then get the message that another cartridge needs to be replaced!

I only print in black ink in all cases.  Is it possible to print only black ink without replacing color cartridges are empty ink?

In addition, if a color is exhausted, I should automaticall replace all color cartridges?

    Operating system: Windows XP

Officejet 8500 printers individual ink cartridges (IIC); This machine requires that all cartridges to be installed to ensure that the printhead not damaged. In the printer, the ink is used not only for printing, but retain the printer and the print head. We can reduce the amount of color ink, the printer uses by changing the print in grayscale settings or use black ink only. Page 34 of the Manual shows how to change these settings when you print the documents. For more information on how the ink is used in the printer; It can be considered as this page here where he goes into detail about the different ways that ink is used in the printer.
I would just replace the color cartridge the printer says needs replacement when the machine alerts you of low ink. I would replace all the colors at a time when only needs replacement.
    I hope this helps.

The printer will not print anything (including black and white which is my default setting), at least that I have installed a new yellow ink cartridge.  He says that the cartridge is exhausted and must be replaced before printing.    I have black and white printing color cartridges? Is there a solution? Thank you very much.

    DavidDavid salvation,

Yes, you will need to replace the yellow cartridge to continue printing. Here's a good explanation of the design of the print mechanism, and what is needed to keep them in good working condition. Your printer is user replaceable print head. With this printer's ink lines that need to be filled in ink in this way that the print head should not be clogged jets in turn cause poor print quality problems.

HP, as other printer manufacturers, offers you with permanent print heads printers requiring ink for all colors, avoid the print heads.  HP, like some other manufacturers, also offers printers with user replaceable print heads.  These may of may not require ink in all colors in print, even though damage may occur if the print from the cartridge empty.  Finally, HP as some other manufacturers also offers printers with the printhead into the ink supply.  He is replaced at each change of cartridge.  These printers will happily print with a diet low, empty or many deleted completely same models.

When you buy your next printer (from HP or from another manufacturer) be sure that you understand what is the type of printer and choose one that fits your needs.

  • HP Deskjet 3600 series. Initializing ink cartridges? More than 3 partners? s

    Hello:

I was recently offered a printer HP deskjet 3620 or 3650. I have only the manual for it to 3600 series moment.

    There are 27, 28 & 58 ink cartridges.

    My questions are:

1} require initialization of ink as many HP printers do or can I use regular cartridges. The original inks disappeared somewhere in transit.

2} If initializing cartridges are required are they still available?

3} it is my understanding that this printer has never been created or had it ink.

y at - there a way to tell if this is true? There is now no cartridge inside and it appears unblemished, even if all the original packaging has been removed.

4} am I correct to assume that if the ink cartridges installed previously to a point that this printer is useless that the print heads are probably blocked.?

    Please notify.

I saw this place is around the same time that your other post.  If you just want to know about the initial optimization process of your printer for the best performance?  To install ink cartridges are available and are used to prepare the print head, but are not absolutely necessary.  You don't have to contact HP for Setup ink cartridges for him.  You can call technical support at 1-800-474-6836 (US) or follow this link to get the phone number for your country and ask them to order it.  Or call 1-888-999-4747 HP Home and Home Office, but I don't know if you can get them at the store. Just as a previous tech support agent I know I could order setup of ink cartridges.

A lack of alignment can occur if you do not use the first time ink installation cartridges, but I doubt it.  There is no way of knowing if she has never had ink in it before without having already inked and install on the computer in order to access the Toolbox and then choosing to print a test page that may have this information on it.  On newer models,'s called it a Printer Status Report.  It will tell you all about his prior use.

I don't think the printer hangs another ink in there if there is no ink installation cartridges installed the first time.  I don't know the refilled ink cartridges may damage the print head, but I think that you will be sure to use regular ink you'll be safer if you call, your printer is in or out of warranty.

Here is a nice little document all about these issues and much more.  I hope this helps!

  • Color ink cartridges

I have print 98% black and white, so why the color inks run toner?

Is not brand specific, most of the brands of printers has a self-clean feature which comes into action when the user stops the printer. It then passes through this function & is color or B & W is not much used, it still uses ink due to cleaning.

That's why I don't concern me about printing in B & W to save ink, because there is no savings. If you have NEVER used your color ink, it would always go down, although not quite as fast as the one used the most.

It is also a large part of the reason why a manufacturer OEM printer inks are supposed to be able to say, 425 pages on a game, but the customer gets normally much less than the performance. 425 pages assume non-stop for printing that many pages.

So if you just print a page, after the cleaning cycle, one is probably, using enough ink to print more than 2-3 pages.

Hope that explains things. Again, it is not only the brand Dell, although some generic inks most original uses.

  • Set up printer M451 to deplete its color ink cartridges

My M451 color laser printer is currently set to force printing in black and white when one of its color toner cartridges falls to a very low level.  Could someone tell me how to put in place to keep just print in color?  This will allow me to decide when the color print quality gets bad enough that I want to change the cartridge.

The other day someone here very usefully showed me how to do this with my M475, and hope for a repeat of this notice for the M451.

Any thoughts appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

  • "Leakage" of the color ink cartridge

I have installed all new cartridges color on my HP Color Laserjet CP1518ni. The Blue cartridge has 'leak' toner so the pages were struck out of blue blobs and lines on both sides. I installed a new Blue cartridge, and it works very well. However, that I have "lost" about $73 on a faulty cartridge! Is there a way I can clean the "faulty" cartridge so I can use the toner remaining in it?

    Hi Betty_B,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that caused cyan toner streaks of blue blobs and lines on both sides.
I can help you with that.

If you use a genuine HP Toner then I call HP Tech Support and ask about a replacement toner.

Let them know that it is a guarantee in accessory. Contact HP worldwide.

If the toner is not HP you can try running a cleaning when it is installed in the printer. Cleaning the printer.

Since it flows really well, I wouldn't put it back in the printer where the leak stain rollers inside the printer. Touch the toner drum damage.

I would like to know how it goes for you!

    Have a great day.
    Thank you.
