Color LaserJet CM6040 MFP: A3 manual duplex Duplex on Color LaserJet CM6040 MFP taken in charge?

Hello

I hope someone can help to answer this question. I am trying to print a newspaper on the double-sided A3, but I get no prompt to reinsert the paper to print on the other side, as I do when I print A4.

The parameters have been triple checked and still the A3 prints out sequentialy on one side.

My question is the Color LaserJet CM6040 MFP support manual duplex Duplex A3?

Thanks in advance

JEAN

The CM 6030 / 6040 CM User Guide manual States:

«Duplex printing: provides printing automatic duplex (print on both sides of paper).» The range of paper size for automatic duplex printing is 175 to 320 mm (6.9 to 12.6 in.) x 210 to 457 mm (8.3 "to 18"). Media weight range is from 60 to 220 g/m2 (16 to 58 lbs.)"

If you use manual duplex because the printer driver does not offer the automatic duplex option, it may be that the driver does not know that a duplex unit is equipped.

The function "automatic detection" used by some drivers on the install (or update) does not always; make sure the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that a single is present):

  • For the instance of the printer in question, bring up the printer properties dialogue.
  • Select the device settings tab.
  • Make sure the duplex unit is set to installed and not installed.

You will probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the settings of the device.

  • Color LaserJet Pro 200 M251 nw: unable to do manual duplex printing with Windows 10

Using my prior desktop computer that ran from Windows 7, I had no difficulty to do manual duplex printing on my HP LaserJet Pro 200 M251 nw color.  However, having recently bought a new desktop computer running Windows 10, I have more two-sided printing option.  Instructions to Guide the user to http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02886939 are unnecessary because I cannot complete step 3, click Finish.  After completing the first two steps by clicking on file - print and then click Properties or preferences, I am not provided with an option to "print on both sides (manually)" as described in the User Guide.  How can I get manual double-sided printing capability on Windows 10?

Usually when you have a driver problem, it is best to find the current driver on the HP website, disconnect the printer from your PC, remove the existing driver, and then install the current driver.

Windows often installs drivers that do not support as many features as the downloadable driver.

I've updated my WinXP OS and the manual duplex feature does more (System with OS Win7 system with x 64 and x 64 win8.1)
in win XP, I selected the manual duplex function. the system brings up the dialog box with the instructions to do so (for example: press 'V' on the printing Panel when ready)
    WinXP worked perfectly

WIN8.1 x 64 does not allow me to choose the manual duplex function and I need print the odd pages before even-numbered pages.

  • Reduced with the universal print driver in Windows 7 manual duplex function

On March 13, 2013, I downloaded the last PCL 6 Universal Printer driver for my Laserjet CP1518NI printer.   Manual duplex printing is now a mess!  In Windows XP, duplexing manual was available for Microsoft documents, but for them, it worked: if I chose to print on both sides, a pop-up window seem to remember to press 'OK' on the printer when it was time to print the second side. I could close this window without affecting the driver himself things correctly configured: he printed the pages first, in reverse order, collected if necessary and rotation so that when this side is complete, all I had to do was take pages on the output tray in put them directly in the input tray and then press OK on the printer, and the other next printed pages, in good order and the correct orientation.

Here's the worst: when you print a double-sided Word file, I now get a BOX of DIALOGUE MICROSOFT WORD asks me to press "OK" in the dialog box, not on the printer, when you are ready to start printing the second side.  With an open dialog, I can't work with other Word files to the end of the first side printing.

Is then the settings: apparently, I need to change the settings manually (not what I planned "Manual" Duplex would!) to learn how to print the first side (even pages) in reverse, reverse order / rotation, then the second side (odd pages) in normal order do not hit?  Do I have to change the settings before printing the second side?

If I don't make all the settings myself, it just prints odd pages in the wrong direction and DISORDER.  If I do all the settings myself, which is exactly the pilot done for me, other than preventing me from working on other documents, the document while current is printing?

I'm especially disappointed because the old driver worked very well.  I just updated the driver because of what turned out to be another problem.  Sigh.

In reading the manual. on page 35, it describes how to enable the feature if you have not already:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01070718.PDF

According to the available information this process should not be performed by the driver. However, as I said above, almost all the settings you described I not know can be defined in MS Word. Back to history versions of the drivers, I see the same types of drivers that have been developed for Windows XP and the information I have shows that this function must not have changed.

In addition, similarly, you should be able to allow printing of greys through the preferences of printer or the printer properties Advanced.

I would like to know if this helps!

I have a new 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium PC which I plugged my HP Officejet G85 printer via a USB cable.

Tell the truth, the 'instructions' click on the 'FEATURES' tab on the active manual duplex duplexing aka.  My driver does not work

have a "FEATURES" tab - so I can't print double-sided.  CAN YOU HELP ME?  It is not for lack of printing, since everything still works perfectly on my old XP computer.

THE COMMANDS THAT I USE ARE:
"FILE, PRINT, HP G85, preferences and get 'LAYOUT' & PAPER/QUALITY" tabs (but not "FEATURES" tab).

Tab AVAILABLE the has a "print on both sides:" box of choice: a) return on long edges or Rtrn b)

BUT EITHER IT HAPPENS ELSEWHERE NOTHING EXCEPT THE OUTPUT PRINTER ON ONE SIDE!  Help!

XP drivers will not install in Windows 7 and XP mode, to higher than the Premium family edition.

As far as I KNOW, even if you install the printer in XP mode, I don't think you can access the printer from Windows 7.

The solutions are to use free Office or Open Office in XP mode, collect the files to print and then print out them which can result in the document formatting issues.

HP is trying to tell you that you need to buy something for their current range.

  • How to print manual duplex mode with mac?

I can print in the manual duplex option: it is absent.

Whith windows operating system, it is available.

WHI you do not a plug-in for mac?

    Hello
To perform manual duplexing, Joanie you use the Pages to the printer setting, you can find below:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01663233

Another alternative, you can use is the HP two-sided printing software:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL35975/MP-88750-2/HP_Two-sided_Printing.dmg
You can access this tool by clicking the PDF button at the bottom of the print dialog box, and then select double-sided printing and follow the on-screen instructions.

Edit: Maybe this will help someone else.

Under the printer properties > Device Settings the option to enable manual duplex printing has been set to enabled by default.  Even if it is enabled, the manual duplex option was not available in the print dialog box.  To play today, I put manual duplex to disabled, applied, changes new set to enabled and applied again changes.  Now, I have the manual duplex option in my print dialog box.  Something must have just been shifted after the installation.  Setting and turn it on again worked for me.

I also point out that I have authorized the HP software update web printing for IE, but I don't believe that to be the reason why it works now.

  • Manual duplex how

    Hello

I have a 36 page booklet that I print off the coast. However, I want to duplex pages, which would be better (for me) and save paper. I looked and can't work out how to do it.

    I am running Indesign CS3 v5, Win 7 Ult 64, brother MFC_6490CW.

P.S. Please if possible simplify the instructions.

    Thanks in advance.

    B

Please send the job twice. First time print you pages odd only printing, second time return you the stack and print doesn't equate (and you can set print dialog ID). The big thing becomes the order of the correct pages in the stack, and how you do that depends on the printer and it offers face up or face down.

As a general rule, if you get your pages sent face down they will be stacked in order, and facing up will be in the reverse order. If the pages are sent in the order reverses the order when you send a game (ID can do it, too) so they save it properly. It usually takes me a few minutes to understand the complexities.

I usually do this kind of printing of Acrobat and not ID. If you try to use the print booklet you will find manual duplex printing is really difficult to implement, so print to PDF and then print a side PDF both.

  • Manual duplex printing does not work for LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a

    Hello!

Windows OS 8.1. Printer LaserJet 100 Color MFP M175a. 61.108.8.10073 driver version date 2011 Apr 13

    1. after the passage on the checkbox "Print on both sides (manually)" on the tab "Final" of the print properties dialog box and
print, dialogue with the instruction how to turn paper appears. Then the printer should print the odd pages, stop for
turn the paper, and then continue printing even pages on the back of sheets of paper. But my machine print
all pages sequentually sequentially 1,2,3,... without breaks. What is TI - my bug error or possible in driver?

2 functions of the DeviceCapabilities API of Windows with fwCapability = DC_DUPLEX for this printer returns 0 (duplexing
impossible). This value for any other HP printers, even without duplex automatic, always equal to 1 unit.

    Hi @Up205,

I see by your post that you are having problems manually double-sided printing. I can help you with this.

The software for this model on the 8.1 for Windows is the Basic Solution software and the driver. This solution of basic software provides printing and scan feature only. You download and install the latest drivers?

HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175nw drivers.

Ensure that the bidirectional Support is enabled.

Go to the type (menu tiles) in "devices and printers" screen, select settings, click on devices and printers, click with the right button on the printer, start left click on properties of the printer, on the Ports tab, put a check mark next to allow bidirectional support.

You may have to restart the computer.

If you need help, let me know.

    Good day!
    Thank you.
