  Follow the steps below to print using black ink only, these are accessible from the print itself, dialog not print & Fax:
  
  1. from the application used to print, click the file menu and select print.  The print window is displayed.

  4. you may need to click the triangle next to color Options of spending parameters, you will find the levels of gray or black in this dialog box.
  
  You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset... a used preset by default remains until you select any other preset.

  I just bought a hp laserjet cp1025nw.

  Install the driver using the printing preferences panel.

  When I try to print a file find all ok on the mac, it says it's printing, but all arrive on the printer.

  It just does nothing.

  Tried to delete the driver reinstallation it several times, tried to off/on the printer several times, but the printer does not print anything.

  Any help?

  I looked on your support site and it just show firmware update and ePrint app, can't see a utility application in your site.

  I solved the problem, I don't know why, but the first 2 times I tryied to install the driver through the apple Printer preferences he made me select the driver hp but not specific for the exact model.

  The third time that I canceled / reinstall the driver it showed me the submenu with the specific parameters for cp1025nw.

  Follow the instructions below.

  1. open devices and printer

  2. click on add a printer

  3. click Add a local printer

  4. from the use existing port, select the USB option and then click Next

  What operating system?  For Windows 7, you would go to start, devices and printers, right click on the HP Deskjet 3050, printing preferences, select the paper/quality tab and some Plain paper media quick project, apply, then click on the Advanced tab and under the characteristics of the printer, select printing in levels of gray and black ink only, apply, OK.

  Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your driver located within the Windows 7 operating system?  You probably know that HP did not create a downloadable driver for Windows 7.  I would try uninstalling and then reinstalling the driver.
