I have a Color Laserjet 2605dn, and all of the color ink cartridges have run dry. However the black cartridge has more than 2,000 pages of ink in the printer and it won't let me prink only black and white. It seems that the color cartridges must also have ink in them so that the printer to print. Does anyone know a work around so that I can print with the black cartridge and not buy color cartridges?

  • Photoshop - new Images are black and white only

I'm working on a wallpaper and I import the background and I'm going to hide the logo until the inside of the outline of the logo is an image. I'm looking online for some good photos test and see what I like best. I uploaded a photo and the colors were only black and white. I thought that maybe something was wrong with the picture so I had another image, and the same thing happens.

I have found something like this but desaturated colors, although not all black and white. My proof Setup is: work CMYK. I do not think that I have never changed it, so I don't know if this actually caused this problem. I don't know exactly all the settings in Photoshop so if you describe something like change a setting, it would be very appreciated if you told me where he was, etc.

  • Why can I not print in black and white only?

Why is the HP Officejet Pro 8600 more unable to print black and white only if the black cartridge is not empty?

What I mean is that I went into the settings to set the printer to print black and white only but also print text in black only.  Yet, I HAVE to replace the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges, because they are exhausted.  Nothing to do with black printing, whereas a SEPARATE black cartridge is and is always full should cyan, magenta and yellow ink?

I'm aggravated about how the driver for this printer is designed TO FORCE me to buy cartridges not black when I deliberately put printing be BLACK ONLY.  I'm unable to move forward with my impression.  This is considered to be a show-stopper and is unacceptable as the setting that I've assigned and exhausted cartridges message contradict each other.  If the adjustment is made for print in black and white only including text, then print black and white, because I know that the black ink is still available.

Take into consideration that printing may take place at any time.  Not being able to use black as my other color (WHICH IS NOT EMPTY AND IS A SEPARATE CARTRIDGE) forces me to stop.  I can't go forward until the store open.  Wal-Mart isn't always an option.   It's lost time.

The inability to switch to self-supply to meet to use the black cartridge is only a waste of time.

Call it for what it is, a form of ransom. HP wants me to spend the money on the color cartridges that have nothing to do with black and white printing.   When I am ready to print in color, which should be a time of my choosing.

Either way, the form, which I am trying to print is black and white only.  No color is on this form.  It is foolish to force printing in color to a black and white document.

    Hello

Specially protect the print heads printers much NEED other inks even they only print in black. During the warm-up process, printers require all inks so they can stop before we continue. Some printers allow printing (especially those who have the ink tank three colors), but they can print at a speed of snail baby.

    Kind regards.

I'm trying to get the 6520 Photosmart of HP all-in-one to print only in black and white. I followed the instructions in the manual (go to the preferences of the printer by selecting "Black ink" only 'Print in grayscale,' hit 'Apply' and 'Send'.)

That is what it is? How can I fix?

    Afternoon @MSWS,.

I can help you with the printing settings in Open Office.

It seems that this program has its own options that can bypass the default print settings.

  • OFFICEJET PRO 8600: PRINTING BLACK AND WHITE ONLY

Printer does not print in black and white only, even if this option has been selected by "Printer properties" or "Printer Preferences".

Please read this post then provide some details.  There the error messages on the computer screen or the printer?

The Officejet Pro 8600 series has separate heads for printing and ink supplies.  To protect the print head of damage the printer requires all inks to be present to print in black only.  If one or more of the inks are exhausted, they must be replaced to allow printing.

  • After new udates, all the color going on in black and white!

So I woke up this morning and got on the computer. It was presented that a windows update happened from one day to the next, because I was at the login screen. So I connect, and everything is fine, when all of a sudden while the office, all colors become black and white.

I have tried everything I can think off - play with the monitor and by connecting them connected. I went into the control panel and tinkered with nvidia display stuff. Nothing.

Finally, I downloaded and installed the latest driver for my graphics card. As it has been installed the drivers, the color came back on. When he did the installation of the drivers and tried to restart the computer, everything is black and white again.

So I restarted the computer, and has obtained the connection - color was on. I have connect and see that the Office had the color, and then after like 2 seconds, he returned black and white.

Gaaaahh! Anyone know what hell I have to do?

    Hello

It could be a question to reset some settings in the office. We can also make sure that. for some strange reason, your display settings to high contrast were not lit.
Try this: press > left ALT + left SHIFT + PRTSCN
This should start the high contrast display, settings that are in black and white by default.
Manual way that there are keys didn't do.
Click on start and open Control Panel. Under access, click "optimize visual display".
Make sure it is turned off.
Please let me know if it was her.

  • printing in black and white only on the all-in-one HP Officejet J5780

I am trying to print page 2 of an article of web in plain black and white.  However, the upper part of the page is red on the web, the main part is black and white only.  No matter how clearly, I insist that I want simple black and white, what I get is the page, printed in red.    The printer does not do what I ask.  How can I fix this?

Add a new layer above your text. Fill it with 50% gray. Add a bit of noise:

Set the blending mode to lighten:

Add a Gaussian blur to match the other text:

  • Always the color in the photos after the black and white conversion

    Hello

I have a very strange problem. After the conversion to black and white photos in Lightroom (no matter if I chose B & W in the basic menu, set the saturation to 0, the HSL value 0 saturation sliders or choose a B & W preset) my photos have still a few colors in them. Before and after have exported them.

The pictures are taken in RAW with a 550 d or a RX100. Same results for all. I use Lightroom 4.3.

I searched a lot on google and also here in the forum and have not found anything.

    Any ideas?

    Kind regards

    wrongcolor small.jpg

If you have Lr and PS side by side they appear identical. If they are not something certainly will not, and I agree with ssprengel that it's most likely a monitor profile bad that one of them is choking on.

If you don't calibrate and profile the monitor yourself (what is the right way to do it), the safest bet is always to use sRGB (or if you have a wide range of monitor the Adobe RGB, but you do not have). > This thread contains a description of how you do it.

    ---

    Some information:

Monitor profiles contain two parts. One, quite simply, white fixed point, correct the response curve and remove color casts. It is loaded into the video card (or the screen itself) and affects all across the system. This is the part of the calibration.

The second part is the profile itself, which is more complex. It is, in short, a complete description of the features of monitor in three-dimensional space color. Among other things, it defines exactly the position of the three primaries. It takes the calibration in the image, so in other words it is a description of the screen in its calibrated State. But only color management applications to read the monitor profile and debug to display accordingly. Other applications just ignore it and send the numbers directly through.

This second part, the profile itself, is what often causes problems because many profiles are not properly written. Manufacturers of monitor (and portable) are known for this. You would think if he succeeds, but it's not fair.

To compound things, these bad profiles are often pushed through Windows Update, so that people don't even know they are being installed.

  • How can I make my officejet 6500 a print in black and white only?

I am trying to print documents, not photos, in black and white.  The computer is a Macbook Air.  I'm looking for the manual, and I don't see how to set up printing black and white document WITHOUT PRINTING FAST current of AIR.

Thanks a lot for helping me with this.

    Hi @presentmomentum,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Here's how to adjust the color temperature:

When you go to print a document, click on "Show details" (next, where it says PDF). Then click on 'TextEdit' and click on 'Type/quality paper.' From there, you can select the grayscale, black and white or color and toggle various levels of quality (Normal, Best project). If you use the grayscale function, you can choose just to use the black cartridge only.
