• photos look different (bad) when placed in InDesign CS4

  I have a problem because my photos look frowned upon in InDesign. I work on my photos, until they look perfect in Photoshop - with just the right color balance and tone - but when I put in ID, they look much darker and more red or saturated. Then I look in Photoshop again, and they look very good. What gives? A program that shows the actual status of the photo? BTW, the pictures are using the same color profile in the two programs and the monitor is unchanged b & w viewings.

  I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience and what I can do about it? It makes me very nervous to see my pictures looking so bad in InDesign, where I prepare my layouts for offset printing. They will print as I see them in Photoshop or they will print as I see them in InDesign (which is terrible)? At this point, I am reluctant to make other adjustments and hoping that it is the view of Photoshop which is correct.

  But why is it happening in the first place? Is there a setting I should be fixing? Or is there an issue or incompatibility black and white Photoshop and InDesign color I know of?

  I use ID and Photoshop CS4 on Mac OS x 10.4.11

  In Indesign all that you see is an overview of your images, it is a proxy of low quality, used only for the purposes of the layout.

  However, you can get a better overview by choosing View-> display-> display high quality performance. But it is still not as good as what you see in photoshop. Do not despair. As long as you have not all the missing links or changed in your links palette, your images will be printed as you see them in PS (or as close as you can get).

• Beautiful images high resolution in photoshop look looking terribly pixelated when scaled down in movement 5... How can I avoid this?

  I'm working on a project with a customer logo and title... both are downloaded from the internet in high resolution and crisp and wonderful look in Photoshop. However, when I drop in my 1, 080 x 1, 080 5 movement project and adapts them to the size, they must be in animation, all this freshness becomes terribly pixelated.

  It looks like a problem of aliasing to me... the text generated by movement in my document looks great, so I guess that's not a draft too low resolution (1, 080 x 1, 080 seems high enough resolution for me!). I'm fairly new to Motion, so I feel like there's just something obvious that I forget... any help is appreciated!

  If the logos are available on the internet, please post a link to one or more of them, then we can see what the issue might be. The only way (in general) occurs in images pixelation is if the scale becomes higher than 100%. Which can happen even if you are down, but with the help of a camera view revision or position Z to make the image appear closer.

  Is there something else on the project involving a zoom, positioning, and/or put across?

• My photos look terrible in the library module after editing in the develop module.  They resemble nothing also.  How can I solve this problem?  Use Lightroom 5.

  Anyone have any ideas?  The only way I can get around this is to export the photo in iPhoto and try to edit about the mess.

  This library module uses Adobe RGB, while the develop module uses ProPhoto RGB.

  Hi guys, im having a little problem with the settings on my report. When I enter a value to search it works fine, but when I do not enter a value in my parameter (because I want it to look for all) it won't bring back all records where the field is null.
  
  for example suffice it to say I'm looking for a person with the name thomas it will work very well and bring everyone back with the name of thomas, however in my database name can be left empty. When the user runs the report, but does not pass in a name as a parameter we must assume that they want to see all records. In this case my report won't bring back all records where the name is empty. The way I coded it is as follows:
  
  AND NAME = NVL(:RP_NAME,NAME)
  
  IM being probably stupid, but I can not think anyway to get my desired outcom if I simply
  
  AND NAME =: RP_NAME
  
  It bring me a completely blank report.

  How about you try as below?

  AND NVL(NAME,'-') = NVL(:RP_NAME,NVL(NAME,'-'))
  

  Make sure that the user will not enter name as '-' or use any other character of NVL both places.

• Loss of quality when using "Replace with Adobe After Effects Composition Colombia"

  My workflow:

  [1] create new first sequence with footage of gross screenshot (12 fps h.264 mov ~ 2 Mbps)

  [2] use the blade to cut images in a section in need of effects

  [3] right-click on the item and choose "Replace with Adobe after effects structure Colombia"

  * For the purposes of this essay, this is what I did (no effect adds in every first or AE)

  [4] in the first place a 'In' on the side of the raw images and a point "Out" on the side "replaced" and make this section

  

  [5] export using the same settings as the raw images (h.264, size of the sequence of 12 images per second, ~ 2 Mbps)

  [6] open export to QuickTime.

  Here's a (cropped, obviously) screen shot from the beginning of the clip (raw images):

  It is much softer.

  Have no input as to why the simple use of this feature causes degradation in image quality? Yet once again, I haven't added any effect.

  I have not had a problem until this project, which is any screenshot. As you can see it's a weird image... size but that should be irrelevant.

  Instead - h.264 makes only to a standard set of horizontal & vertical resolution's combos, and this isn't one of them.

  You cannot share a calendar between After Effects and Premiere Elements, you can with the suite CS5.

  But if you export your finished work of After Effects as a DV - AVI (for standard def video) a HDV-MPEG (for hi-def) you can certainly import this video in a Premiere Elements project

• A slight color and quality shift when viewing RAW files for the first time in the library Module.

  I've been shooting RAW for awhile and have notice that after I import the images and then begin to view in the library Module, I see a light color and quarter of quality - almost looks like a shift in the balance of whites, but not quite.   I thought that maybe there was some preset automatic applied but I do not have all of the presets.

  I'm shooting with a Canon 1DX and 7 d.  I have not checked to see if I get this situation with the 7 d, but I know for sure that I understand with the 1DX.

  Today I have passed through a few images in Bridge and decided to open one in Camera RAW.   At that point I found out that the Style of the images of the camera settings are available, faithful, Standard, Portrait, etc..  I noticed that the images did not camera styles applied to them, but rather the Style Standard Adobe have. At this time there in RAW I chose one of the styles of the camera and the bingo that's the kind of change that I see when I first discover an image in the library of LR4.

  So I can say that the RAW images are becoming the Adobe Standard style applied in LR.   I don't know if it's a default behavior of if I did something to make.  I think also that maybe LR not necessarily applies Styles of the camera automatically even if the particular style has been in the camera - is perhaps not imported as part of the metadata during import and so the default Adobe Standard.

  I guess what I need to know a few things and I hope that someone can educate the beginner!

  1 should I expect LR4 to apply the Style in the game of the camera automatically or not at all?

  2. can I prevent LR to apply the Adobe Standard Style and apply no style?

  3. can I cause some LR apply the Style as set out in the camera for the particular image to be appied automatically when importing?

• When Vista (Home premium) end its commissioning, my switches in black and white color scheme. I can't go back to the color. I looked at the display settings and they say all in colour, however, I am always shows black and white.

  Color screen is permenantly black and white. cannot change color and all the display settings are in color. Monitor is always on the color, its just something that vista went to. At the start of vista, it's after start of switches in black and white and color. I can't see where it get back to normal.

  (1) do you have because of recent changes, after which the problem occurred?

  The first thing I would say is to update or rather uninstall and reinstall display drivers and who might have to deal with the issue.

  Also I suggest you try to use another monitor to see if it is not a problem with the monitor.

  Let us know if the problem persists after the driver updates.

• Color and quality of the picture changes once downloaded on galleries online printing (like Shutterfly).

  The photos are RGB. Shutterfly can not understand why and said there must be an error in the file when it is saved. Someone at - it somehow or something? The part of the photo to the left is changed, the right one is the appearance of the image once uploaded. It happens to every single photo.

  The image must have a profile embedded document, and the profile of the bands save for default Web. And even if it doesn't have a lot of websites do.

  Firefox may be set to assign sRGB to any image (or graphic element on the page) doesn't have an embedded profile. Type "subject: config" without quotes into the address bar, hit refresh and scroll to gfx.color_management.mode. Change the value from 2 to 1.

  And then, you must have a valid display profile, preferably one made by a stallion. It's the chain of management display full color: profile of documents > view profile. Photoshop always uses this entire string, but most browsers will jump on one of those. Except Firefox in mode 1.

  Most likely, you need to calibrate your monitor. Photoshop uses for accurate color calibrations, more even than other applications, which will apply to color "Monitor." If you go to the PS, and select view > test format > RBG monitor, the color will very probably seems correct, but it means that you are correct on a non calibrated screen images and other people could see your images as color stop.

  It is a new one on me. I installed the printer with a barrette SIMM Postscript so it would work even at all under Vista and now it prints well but insists on the fact that I have all re - print he has never seen a reason any whenever I turn the printer to print something again.

Possible I did for me somehow when I was trying to get the thing to work with the PCL driver too.

  Then I noticed that whenever I turned on the printer it is printing a page of demo postscript, for some reason any, it is enabled by default in the SIMM option. Turn power off and now its not wasting so much paper now.

  So two things to look for in the computer and the printer.

  Me too I'm frustrated by that.   Found the old windows with very honest XP environment.   I used the advanced settings, but has not found a way to save the changes with a label, so I knew that the changes you made.   It is just Frigging trial and error and very frustrating.

  Why are there no way to return either to the default value (not found a default label) or save the settings changed under a name?    It is a productivity KILLER.

  Interface user of Windows 7 is theme based. The colors are defined by the theme.

  You still have many color options that can be used to change the colors.

  Right click on the desktop and select Personalize. Click on the color of the window at the bottom of the window box.

  You can select one of the colors in the boxes colored at the top.

  Adjust the intensity of the color with the cursor.

  Click on the color down mixer and you can a lot of variations on all the different color choices.
