  • Is Windows 7 file sharing allows simultaneously several user record updates

I want to allow multiple users to read and update shared files.  I can do that with the collective dwelling characteristics of files shared in

    Windows 7?

Essentially no. In fact, she is stuck at a level of access. If a file is opened to a single user, it must be locked read-only to another. Even if the 1st user then abandons the connection to the 2nd user held that he read only until they give up and pick it up again. This has nothing to do with the sharing of files in Windows 7, it would apply in a true client/server scenario. Network access is file level and must be complete, you can have a single user update a sector and another one another in the same file.

Even at a database level place opportunistic locking on records to avoid 2 contradictory written which takes place at the same time, how a system can focus on accessing a field between 2 users.

The most obvious solution in a client/server for documents environment is SharePoint, but even that files 'reserved' users to restrict the other until there is only new.

The classic example of what I saw was at the time of the BACK where the networking addon could allow 2 files of the same name to be created in the same directory because he did not have a functional locking system does not work. When a second user writes the file, that it doesn't have the same identity that the first has so his own writing, 2 files of the same name in a directory could not happen, but it did.

  • You need to update a Table on a regular basis. Incremental update on only records updated in the Source table

    Dear all,

I have a requirement to extract the full details of human resources and payroll related applications Oracle HRMS tables.

You will need to create a table with these values for a specific nationality.

Post Table design, I have to periodically update this table, in that based on changes made to the Tables of basic Oracle.

    Ex: A Table like Structure:

    PERSON_IDNUMBER
    EMPLOYEE_TYPEVARCHAR2(80)
    BUSINESS_GROUP_IDNUMBER
    BUSINESS_GROUP_NAMEVARCHAR2 (240)
    STAFFNRVARCHAR2 (30)
    STAFF_NAME_ENVARCHAR2 (240)
    STAFF_NAME_ARVARCHAR2 (240)
    SHORT_NAMEVARCHAR2 (150)
    FIRST NAMEVARCHAR2 (150)
    LAST_NAMEVARCHAR2 (150)
    MIDDLE_INITIALSVARCHAR2(60)
    ASSIGNMENT_IDNUMBER
    TITLEVARCHAR2 (30)
    CATEGORYVARCHAR2 (30)
    MARITAL_STATUSVARCHAR2 (30)
    Date of birthDATE
    DOJ_COMPANYDATE

This detail table is extracted from Oracle HRMS tabels like Per_all_people_F and Per_all_assignments_F etc. Not whenever a record is updated to say the employee's first name, I'll have to update this particular record for the employee. I am well aware of Materialized view feature. But I needed a faster solution, in PLSQL.

I'm on a tight schedule. So any help is appreciated.

    Best regards

Looks like you want to Merge.  There's even an associate HR example!

  • Where is the record update form wizard in PCOC?

Trying to follow the online help, but it does not concern CBWMS.   A tutorial that I found for CS6 suggests that it is in the instructions > Data Objects > update record > record but in ACPE update form wizard, there is no "Data Objects" option in the Insert menu.

By the way, I'm looking for the wizard not update directly the behavior which I know is in the server behaviors panel.

    Thank you.
    NJ

EDIT: Just talk to Adobe 'support' of discussion about this and they have been absolutely useless. The directed me to the article that I have highlighted above as being for CS6, which is not useful because "Data Objects" is not in the Insert menu in ACPE, and when I said they gave me this link to try: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/

Seriously?  It's the best I can hope Adobe support?  It was clear that the cooperative was just search on Google for answers as opposed to actually know the software they represent.  Really disappointing support.

Database functionality has been removed from the PCOC. You can get a lot of coming back it by enabling the Extension of the legacy...

Or buy third DW Extensions of DMXZone database.

  • Change DUP_VAL_INDEX "Insert where there is no other record update"

In an environment of retail, where transactions are posted in a header, and a table of the line, the code below inserts data into the table tran_head based on the values obtained from a cursor. Updates in a transaction especially produce about 1%, and the existing code uses a DUP_VAL_INDEX system exception to publish updates to a transaction.

How to change the process of "If the folder exists and then insert another update? Since updates happen only from 1% of the time, the INSERT statement may have to be placed at the beginning.

I tried IF EXISTS before the INSERT statement, but it does not work in PL/SQL.

A merger (or even insertion/update) would be desirable for a volume of 1 M lines?

Well a unique fusion would be probably more faster then 1 million insert tent and 1000 updates. The main problem in your code are many pl/sql - SQL context switches. For each, you will get at least 4 context switches (fetch = sql, pl/sql = loop, insert is sql,...). They slow down this operation. In BULK FETCH (with LIMIT) and FORALL could help. But it takes a bit of programming and the understanding of this concept.

But you can also write a single insert and a single update that does all the work. This should be comparable fast.

    There should be two ways.
    (a) using the clause LOG_ERRORS, for all lines that are not allowed (due to the UK) in a separate table of error. Then, run a single update, using this result records in the error table.
    (b) write the Insert... Select so that duplicate records are not inserted. Then write an update that only duplicates are updated. This mimicks the merge, but you may have a little more control over the statements.

Such a single insert command should resemble the following:
    not tested

    INSERT INTO tran_header_base b
                          (TRAN_SEQ_NBR,
                           ORG_NUMBER,
                           STORE_NUMBER,
                           TRAN_DATE,
                           TERMINAL_NUMBER,

An expression "not in" could be faster, depends on many factors.

  • How to combine document records in doubles

Hi, I have a HP 2000 series laptop running Windows 8.1 and somehow, I have developed several Document files in my library. It is of course difficult to search for files. Is there a way to combine into one?

Copy the files to a folder that you want to keep, and then delete the useless folder when you are sure that all files have been copied.

I want to capture the unique combination (col1, col2, col3) from a table one. If these figures obtained from a combination of col1, col2, col3 exceed a number of 1 and then do something else.

    SELECT a.col1,a.col2,a.col3,count(*)
    FROM table a
    group by a.col1,a.col2,a.col3
    having count(*) > 1

    Hello

I don't know what you are looking for. Is this something like that?

    SELECT col1, col2, col3

              WHEN COUNT (*) > 1

Whenever you have a question, please post a small example of data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements) for all of the tables involved and the results desired from these data.
In the case of a DML (such as INSERT) operation the sample data should show what look like the paintings before the DML, and results will be the content of the or a modified tables after the DML.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.
Always say what version of Oracle you are using (for example, 11.2.0.2.0).

    CROSS JOIN all_x x2
    ORDER BY c.grp
    , x2.x
    ;

Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements; It is very useful.
Don't forget to tell what version of Oracle you are using. The query above requires Oracle 10.1 or higher.

This requires, there is some character (I used "~") that never happens in there. If there is no such character, you can use a string of multiple character, but it complicates the REGEXP_SUBSTR in the main query.
It also means that there is not NULL. If there can be null, the same basic approach will work, but it's a little more complicated.

This is NOT to assume that there are 3 distinct values of x. It will work with any number of values of x and any number of lines to each value.

Grp numbers in no particular order. In other words, if you rerun the query, with exactly the same data, which was grp = 1 may be grp = 2, or it might be grp = 2, or any number between 1 and 6. There will always be 6 groups (account required to these data) and groups are always numbered from 1 to 6 and all the 3 lines that have the same number of grp in the above results will continue to have the same number of fiberglass, but it is unclear what the number will be.
If you want the grp numbers assigned in a certain order, use the DENSE_RANK function analytical in the main query, rather than using the ROWNUM in got_combination. (Do not use analytical functions in the same auxiliary request with CONNECT BY; it can cause the CONNECT BY acting strangely).

  • Combining insert and update to a form?

    Hello

I am a developer web amateur who is new to dynamic Web sites, php and dreamweaver. I am currently working on a project that uses many forms to send data to a database.

Data that are inserted must also be available to update if necessary. so I need currently 2 versions of each form 1 to insert and the other for the update.

Is it possible to use a single form for insert and update, instead of using 2 forms 1 for each function. This would help reduce the level of duplication on the site.

If so is anyway to do this in Dreamweaver? or could someone point me to an example of how this can be achieved.

    Thank you all

Thanks for the information, disappointing that Dreamweaver cannot handle it, but at least I know where I am...

    Looks like that's what I need... http://forums.Adobe.com/message/1927405

Once again thanks for your help

Looks like you put dependent files. Press Ctrl + U, check
to indicate that DW should ask you if this must be done, answer 'no '.

  • Transfer of records of matrix Raid PE2650

    Hello

Sorry if it is a very basic question, I don't have much experience with RAID arrays.

My venerable PE2650 died recently - when turned on it just sits there with whirling fans.  I have connected a monitor and a keyboard, but it is not getting as much as to send the output of the bios screen. It has no output on the LCD screen, well that all readers are turning upwards and two feeds seem to work.

After approximately 20 cycles of power different combinations of RAM sticks has started correctly, but only once, and it remained for 5 hours (without load) before freezing and then refusing to start again.

I have information on a raid 5 array I want to recover the machine. I've noticed that of renovated PE2650 go almost anything on Ebay and I was wondering if it is possible to transfer simply all five disks at a renovated PE2650? If it works, it seems the easiest option. On a similar train of thought, are the controllers RAID in newest EP is backward compatible - could I upgrade to a newer server and slot just my existing disks in?

    Thanks in advance for answers!

    Sam

"it is possible to transfer simply all five disks at a renovated PE2650?"

Yes, it is possible and quite simple and intuitive. When you put the disks in a new and power on, you will see a message about an incompatibility.  You MUST accept changes to resolve the incompatibility.  In addition, to make sure it works, make sure the firmware on the 'new' 2650 is newer than the old (you can simply upgrade to the last).

"are the controllers RAID in newest EP is backward compatible.

Lol new servers use SAS and SATA, discs that are compatible with the old SCSI 0% used the 2650.

  • Stored procedure or Tigger in order to update to 20,000 records every night?

    Hello world

I have a question about stored procedure or trigger.

    Here's the situation:

I need to empty 20,000 records in table A in the database of progress to a B in Oracle table, every night. This is done by a planner and it's fine. Now, I need to update the table C for these 20,000 records in table B, either during the discharge of A to B, or after the dump is done.

Which way you think it's better in terms of performance for 20,000 records to be updated in table C.

1 - Update table C in the discharge of A to b: specify a trigger for each record added to table B, do the update in table c. (meaning it will unleash 20,000 times)

2 - Update table C after the dump from A to B is done: specify a stored procedure and call it by a scheduler to do the update to table C (which means that the cursor must navigate 20,000 files and do the update for each of them in table C)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Mona

I agree that the second option is better, but it took me by surprise:

I interpreted that as a record by the other treatment as in:

    OPEN CURSOR
    LOOP
-- update a single record here
    END LOOP

If this is the case, try and combine all the updates in a single SQL statement if you can. If this is not the case, try treatment in bulk.

And you are sure that you don't have any space around the 'numbers' in your table or in your input file?
