• How do I unselect all tracks when importing from a CD?

  In iTunes v.12.3.2.35, when I import tracks to a CD they are all selected. If I want to import only a track I have to individually deselect each of them and then select the track I want to import. Is there a way to "deselect all" in one step? Thank you.

  I believe you can select all items, Ctrl-click on them and "uncheck selection". Let me know if it works.

  When you import an HTML file in Robohelp it changes automatically the title html tag to match the name of the file. Is it possible to override this behavior, so it leaves the title tag as it is?
  
  I am importing HTML files generated by a 3rd party system. They have meaningful html, for example "Patient Care" title tags, but the empty sense for example file names. 'ab22254.htm '.
  
  I want to generate WebHelp. The problem is that the Search tab shows subjects found in a list of their titles, so instead of getting "Patient Care" in such a list, I now get "ab22254".
  
  I can't easily change the names of files in the 3rd party system and in addition to this problem, I have no reason to do so. (I don't no need for meaningful names to generate the table of contents that I start by importing an HTML help project which includes a table of contents that works with automatically generated file names).

  Recently, I sold my coffee where I bought a whole bunch of music. All the music was played by a pioneering system that has been updated weekly with new songs. All different musicians or groups. Most of the songs where the most popular at that time, so albums never whole or complete, but mainly of independent numbers. Now, I want to import into Itunes (latest version). Problem is that I find myself with a list of many simple figures of individual bands. I can litterly scroll for 5 minutes before I'm at the bottom. Is there a way by Automator or Applescript to change the file to an mp3 information while I import into Itunes. In this case, I want to make a fixed name musicians and an albumname who goes to all the numbers. I think I can finish with a name and an album in which there are more than 6000 songs.

  I hope that I have explained in a way that you understand. I think there must be a solution by automator or applescript, but I can not find or make up. I'm sorry. I hope someone can help.

  Not that you import. There are a lot of scripts on the web site of Dougscripts edition of track information once it is in iTunes, or you can search by using a third party application such as MediaRage to edit outside of iTunes and then import.

• Mac Mail will not create a file to import when importing .mbox files

  I've recently moved from an old Mac Pro (2008) a new (end of 2013). Both are running El Capitan (OSX 10.11.2) and the latest version of the mail (9.2). My old machine was old enough, so I skipped using Migration Assistant and performed a clean installation.

  I'm a graphic designer and, in the past, I always saved my emails into folders for each customer. When I finished work, I export it as a .mbox and check it in case I need to reference it later. If I need it later, I use "file > import mailboxes," select "import data since: Apple Mail," find the archived .mbox file and select it. " Mail lets know me that he has created a 'Import' folder, and there are my files.

  When I migrated to my new Mac Pro, I exported all my open work files, copied to a drive can be removed and added to the new machine. When I use the method "file > Import Mailboxes" I have just detailed, the import dialog box reads: "You can find boxes imported into the folder named 'Import' in the list of mailboxes mailbox."   In Windows XP, I could choose what images to import and give them all the basic name custom during the import process, with each photo added later with a "001", "002" etc using the scanner and Camera Wizard.  It is very convenient because it could have been hundreds of photos on some of my cards from a long period of shots, I could run the tool more than once for different groups of photos that I would choose Import, and the pictures would be get named sequentially and stored in their files you want immediately.  I imported thousands of photos in this way.

  This new tool for Windows 7 allows me to add tags to all of the photos on the cards and devices and name photos after their date, or on the label, or other combinations of that... but why doesn't this new tool in Windows 7 suppose I want to import every single photo on the card device / I just connect and more that I want them all to have the same tag assigned to them?  It's stupid and useless - there, makes only has pictures of a theme on their card at any time that they connect to import their photos and always wants to import everything each time?

• Why do I get no longer previews generated when importing with LR 3.4.1?

  Problem: This week when importing a batch of 900 + photos all appear in the library as grey boxes (no previews).  I still see excerpts from all my photos already imported and the nine are normally visible, in which they are seen with other programs (e.g., Canon Zoombrowser, my images).

  Also, when I close LR3 and select the backup option I get the error "Lightroom has encountered an error when you try to read his preview cache and needs to stop smoking - Lightroom will attempt to solve this problem, the next time it starts.  After clicking OK to the LR3 pop-up error freezes and does not close, it runs only with Lightroom (not responding) on the top of the window.

  Environment: Windows Vista Home Premium, Lightroom 3.4.1 photos are digital DSLR 7 d and Canon 40 D raw CR2 format. The catalog is on a 2 TB external USB drive connected to my laptop Lenova Thinkpad.

  I have more 40 000 pictures in my catalog, more of the same photo, and I REALLY want to start over or having to regenerate the insights that a lot.

  I tried import using both copy and copy as DNG with the same result - not found in the library.

  Tried to import via a USB card reader and a USB memory card after moving them to the card memory to another laptop - same result.

  Tried to manually select some photos and standard previews new rendered, LR3 begins rendering by the status in the upper left box, but no progress toward generating a preview in the library mode.  He's right there.

  I can see the pictures in mode develop when I chose one to view AND, it seems, to stay there when I move back to the library.

  But, when I try to close LR3 (with the above error / crash) and restart it, the previews generated in mode develop disappeared.

  Is there a relatively simple solution to this?  I had not run into this all using previous levels of LR3.

  Jim,

  It seems that your preview cache has become corrupted. He has a record that lives in the same folder as your catalog named .lrdat. Try to rename it to something else and then running Lightroom. You can now generate previews that you couldn't before? If you can, you can then restore your previews and delete the cache of your old preview (the file that you renamed).

  I've recently updated to macOS Sierra 10.12 and scanning to HP computer software cannot be located when I open the HP utility.

  I can't find a further recommended HP software for my device other than El captain in operating system online.

  If I try to scan through preferences systems for printers and Scanners I can open the scanner, but I can't create a PDF combining into one document - it cancels the procedure after about 2 pages!

  The scan HP Destinations 'PDF for Adobe Reader' is red 'could not locate the target application that might have removed or uninstalled. File format = "PDF".

  How can I get that back?

  I understand that computer analysis can not be activated as well as the scan and combine them into a single pdf document. With your printer HP Officejet 7610. I am pleased to see that for you!

  At this time for this model. There is no software and drivers for Mac OS X 10.12 again, given that the operating system has just been launched, it could take some time. For the time being, you can try to use HP Easy Scan to see if that can meet your scanning preferences. In otherwise, all we can do is wait for the software and drivers to be released.

  Step 1: Check if you are able to boot in safe mode. If you are able to boot into safe mode, and then try to perform the clean boot to safe mode and check.

  From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".
