Comments: The rating system

Hello. I wanted to share with the guests comments.

Currently, the system has responded/useful seems not very obvious to the users. Most of the time, users never bothered to mark a useful answer or mark a resolved question. This causes many users feel frustrated and not worth to contribute. Most obvious is the rating system, more people will want to contribute because they know they will be rewarded for their work. I think that when people register ASC, they should go follow a tutorial that includes more information about the rating system. In this way, he is right.

Even when I do not answer question from someone, they mark it resolved as useful instead of. This question unanswered question also causes a lot of confusion on the forum because most people look at a thread, if it is not resolved. Make this clearer system nettoieriez a lot of duplicate threads.

The main problem is that people cannot talk to people of the system because he is not authorized, and people do not bother to ask.

It's just the latest in a series of attempts to reach a scoring/reputation system that works, that isn't easily gamed, and can be used with the Jive Software that manages the forum. It's very difficult, but the hosts are always working on it.

Someone did a calculating return envelope just now that, if I remember, has indicated to me about 20% of the messages have been marked solved. Recent '' recommended '' indication is an attempt to help solve some of the lack of marking of the things found. However, unless people are forced to mark things solved, it's always boing to be a problem.

This may sound hypocritical coming from someone with a lot of points but, if you are here just for points, you're going to end up being annoyed and frustrated. Do it because you're having fun, because you learn things, because the people you interact with are interesting. Don't worry about the points.

    Unfortunately, I don't think that it is possible to disable the function of automatic scoring of WMP.

    You can, however, create an auto playlist that excludes most recently played songs, by adding a condition to Date played last is previous to the x . Then, you can play this auto playlist instead of all music. For more information, search help WMP AutoPlaylist .

  • Size of the disk system comments more

    Hello - looked through the FAQ and found the answer to this question. If I missed this point just me to a resource if it is a pain I tell myself that this has probably been asked before.

    I'm under vmware version 3.1.3

    Space for comments system has been upgraded with 40 GB. I was getting messages that I was running out of space of previous system disk, dumped some files and I saw free space on system of vm disk to grow as as expected.

    Since then, traveling abroad, I have a need to empty a few photos, etc. I want to grow the VM disk space if it has increased by stopping the prompt. Then I went to VM hard drive tool has slipped to the bar to resize to 140 GB, filled time I restarted the prompt, but that he does not see its system disk space increase. Stop the VM/comments down then went to the VM disk and checked the case tool to pre-allocate and let that complements.

    Restarted the guest and still don't see the VM system disk with the any added space.

    Someone can direct me to the right process to increase the comments/VM system drive so that I can increase the amount of available space or let me know what I am doing wrong?

    OK, didn't post screenshots. Wanted to take the time and review everything first. I managed has increased the size of the virtual disk to 140 GB, and it is seen by the Windows operating system. Windows now detects this virtual drive as 140 GB. The virtual machine still sees as 40 GB.

    Now, I want to increase the size of the existing VM/comments system drive sector, so he can use it.

    I did some research and found this method and have the intention to use steps 2 and 3 to change the BIOS, start it newly created iso CD/Gparted and runs from there.

    It is an old document obsolete and has been replaced by: resizing of the ramdisks with step by step Instructions

    However to resize a virtual hard disk is at least a two-step process.  First increase the size of the virtual hard drive through its settings and then second is to increase the file system partition.

    The universal integration for Disqus code is just javascript.  You must register for an account on http://disqus.com/for-websites/ and set up your account first.  Once you have changed your settings, click on the link 'Install' and which will give you code javascript to add to your pages as well as a few other tips to make it work.

    And especially, what is the brand and model of the USB to parallel cable?  Many of them do not work.  See, for example, the comments here , which suggests that 25% of the units will simply not work.  This seems to be one of these products you should buy at a local store, rather than on the Internet, then you can continue taking it back until you get a working unit.

  • Cannot start the operating system

    Hi everyone, I've seen many similar scenarios. Not sure if mine is unique. I do not get a syntax error as others, and this was not due to the update of windows. Our suddenly stopped working.  I tried knocking PF12 w/out of the options for safe mode and couldn't get to a MSDOS command prompt I just get blank screen.  I have the CD to our computer that comes with it when we bought there are records of the operating system, but do not say recovery or restart the disk label so I didn't know if she would it reboot or rewrite it. All ideas and comments are greatly appreciated.

    Yes, it's a way to do this.

    Unfortunately, the ESXi 4.1 installation wipe the disk to complete installation (or logical volume) as you have experienced. Assuming that "logical partitions VMFS" you mentioned are logical volumes actually created in the RAID configuration (presented as individual of the operating system disks), you can migrate the virtual machine that is currently stored on data store of the installation disk to a data store on one of the other logical disks and then install ESXi.

    I had installed vmware workstation on XP. I created two virtual machines with RHEL 4. I am unable to network between two virtual machines.

    I can't make a ping a machine to other Linux, which is the operating system on both the machine. However, cannot connect ftp or can't see computer networked in computer > network under linux...

    I had used the guest network only on both the machine with the same adapter vmnet8 (considering as switch) and have assigned static IP address at a time

    ORDI1 - 192.168.42.21

    COMP2 - 192.168.42.10

    and also have installed vmware tools on both the machine...

    can someone help me on this...

    Disable all firewalls in your linux guests.

    Host-Only is VMnet1, you used only NAT. static use of intellectual property and switch to DHCP for now. Make sure that the VMWare DHCP Server service is running. Put network cards in comments to "host-only '.

    Post your host ' ipconfig/all'.

  • Star rating system

    No points on the thumbnail image may not use the star rating system. They were there when Lightroom 3 has been installed originally, but disappeared. Stars will be display in slideshow so I know they are there! Help.

    Change your display options.  Through them, you can switch by pressing 'J '.

    I am under Lightroom 2.6 and I wonder if there is any way to import based on the rating stars?

    I use another program (photomechanical) quickly review my pictures, choose my selects and change my IPTC data when I'm shooting at an event and I can use the system of star ratings in this program to mark my select photos and votes will actually carry over to LR2.  However, what I was wondering is, is it possible to have LR2 import these files nominal stars?  Say that I rate all my selects as a 1 star.  Is it possible to have LR2 import only nominal images stars 1 instead of all images in the folder of files?  I know that I can sort once they have been imported, but I'm trying to reduce the time of importation.  I tell myself why import if I don't need to import them.  :-)

    Any help or ideas on how to do this would be appreciated.  :-)

    What you mean by system setting. If is the value of say certain attribute VO should first read the value of the attribute of the VO.

    and create a transitional attribute in the same VO and set the property accordingly.

    The syntax is ${oa. VewInstanceName.ViewAttributeName}

    I installed Callnote to record Skype sessions, but I found that it was interfering with the audio system so I uninstalled using AppCleaner. However, I have always had a rest of Callnote in the input and output peripheral windows from the Sound System Preferences: How can I get rid of him?

    Don't know about the first part, but for Safari, try going to system preferences/general and uncheck the narrow windows when you exit an application.
