This happens when I try to open any file from windows Explorer. It began to happen yesterday after my mother has finished using the computer. I think she did something (a click on something online somewhere) and may have introduced a virus into the computer. We have only a very minimal virus protection so I see not what is a great possibility. When I came home there was some files randomly on the desktop and I went to "My computer" right now (with difficulty) and removed all the new things, she got on the computer, that she doesn't want to download (which means they came when she clicks on something somewhere online). I thought I had fixed it but now I can't even open 'my computer' because of this error. Help, please
Loading Windows in Safe Mode and check if the problem is here. You can use the system restore as well. You can also use this program and disable Windows Explorer extensions that were not Microsoft.

Hello

Refer to the article below and try the steps mentioned, check if it helps.
Windows XP restarts when you try to shut down your computer
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/311806
Method 2
If the previous step fails then I suggest that you check to see if the problem persists in safe mode.
A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222
Method 3
If the previous step fails, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

topblanchflower wrote: well, I tried SuperAntiSpyware download - no luck - the annoying box in Japanese is still on my table as soon as I open it. Someone at - it any ideas what to try to get rid of it?
Hello topblanchflower, you can try to run a Windows Restore Point, date back to the time before this problem arose.
To do this, go to the start ORB, all programs, accessories, System Tools, System Restore.
Click Restore and system in a short period of time, a window will open that shows a restore point. Look in the lower left corner, then check the box to show more restore points and select one before the Popup began.
The system reboot and return to the office and advisor than the Windows Restore Point has been successful or not successful.
Sometimes malware such as this will be disable and remove all Windows Restore Points to prevent the user to rid the system of the malware.

Hello.
For about a day now, I had to go through the horror of converting all my stuff on this horrible slow browser, chrome. And at this point, I want to just my firefox in return.I can't seem to find a "Add attachments" button, so I just uploaded to imgur to make it easy for you. http://i.imgur.com/plDjLJ0.PNG
in any case, I think that to happen began after a command prompt has been given on the Aurora or all night, where he asked me if I wanted to try your new multi threaded browser or whatever. Me, who want to continue with that I pressed Yes. A little later, I started to notice that nothing has worked in fact more. I even tried to uninstall all instances of firefox I have on my system, including Tor, and again, the question seems to persist.
I'm under the OS Windows 8 with an AMD CPU and GPU.
It is probably in the Nightly build to try e10s (electrolysis).
This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/safe+mode
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problem.
See "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile already used in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

Windows Explorer stops working at random times while browsing files.
Windows Explorer stops working at random times while browsing files. I tried to fix this by doing a start-up in minimal mode, but without any result.
It all started with a similar problem, Explorer windows stops working at first upward and restarts and stops working again and restarts again and keeps it doing. I've tried several things like do a clean boot, by safe mode, but even there it happened the same thing but this time, stop once and restart it once, and then it worked normally. When I started windows normally, it did the same thing, so I tried and inplace upgrade and did not work, so finally I did a cover, but only on the first partition, which is the operating system, now I have this problem, Explorer stops working at random times while browsing the folders, it restarts, but then the same thing happens.
Please help me I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and sorry for my bad English.Hello
I tried your methods, but still did not work. In the meantime, I did a full restore to two partitions, and it worked. I guess the problem was I uninstalled a few unwanted games, which came with the pc and the anti-virus of the trial. -
