communication error 387 on j6480

When trying to fax to a particular number, I get a communication error 387.  Have you tried this fax number repeatedly throughout the day.  Can receive faxes from this number.  Can fax to and receive various other numbers.  Have tried the test and validation recommended by HP test fax.  All tests have "passed".  What is on my end or the end of receivers.  Fax speed would be a problem?  Speed is set to fax (33600).  Thanks for any help.

Hello jstutzy

Fax Error Code 387 indicates that there is too much noise on the line for a valid connection between two fax machines. This problem can disappear over time.

SOURCE: Fax Error Codes

Since you are able to receive their share and send/receive other numbers it seems that the problem is on the receiving end. To check, I suggest you try another line or another machine fax on this line to isolate the problem.

Also, what type of fax line? And have you tried to lower the speed of fax? Sometimes on the lines of the VoIP (Voice over IP) must be lowered.

    Good afternoon

I want to install a HP 8720 via ethernet. I can see the printer during the installation of the software, but when I choose to go to the page for installing the software, I get a message telling me communication error.  I disabled the firewall of the window and can't seem to get the printer via eprint.

    Good afternoon diameter,.

    Thanks for the quick response.

What I found is what seems to be a potential bug in the software install. When installing (ethernet connection), the software asks you see your printer - what I'm doing. However when I click on the printer to continue the installation, I get the error message "cannot communicate with the printer. I found that if you close this window and ignore it, you can proceed normally configure the printer with no problems at all.

    Hello

As Lexmark OEM is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their

Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

  • communication error occurred when the power VI

    Hi all

I have a frustrating situation.  I am trying to run a few screws on a Compact RIO 9073 chassis, and each time I start or stop the VI, I get two pop-up windows: "Communication Error occurred" (spelling is like on the popup) follow-up by ' WARNING: connection to the target in time real (NOR-cRIO9073 blah blah) has been lost.

If I then go to the project manager, right-click on the cRIO and select Connect, it connects again very well, and the VI is still running.  I then two same popups again when the VI stops.  In the meantime, I can communicate with the VI without any problem.  I tried to reinstall the software on the RIO to the but minimal, OR RIO 3.4.0 it did not help.

The RIO I NI-VISA and Visa 4.6 LabVIEW time server real 9.0.1 and NOR-RIO 3.4.0.  Same numbers on the computer except that real-time is 9.0.0.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    See you soon,.

    : sigh:

Never mind, I noticed myself when I realized that my RT versions differed.  (Seems that naming scheme would require a little tweaking si.0.1 is quite different for breaking things...).

Not sure how I managed to get a version more recent of RT on the box as on the pc, but good.

  • HP AIO 7640: Scan-to-computer Envy 7640 means communication error

Many scan-to-computer malfunction. Start w wireless mode, will have to remove/reinstall the software. Amended in ethernet mode, was fairly reliable (v HP 39.0) later. Printing from Mac & iPhone AirPrint to 7640 is OK. Manual scan from Mac to 7640 OK. Under: HP Utility w / devices /Scan to computer = try to activate the analysis, then the computer Scan is disabled. If check enable scan of the computer, then get communication error. I would like to address this problem, otherwise there are other brands that work.

  • OfficeJet 5740: officejet 5740 - scan of the computer cannot be activated - cause communication error

2 weeks ago, I bought a HP officejet 5740 - installed the software and everything worked well. Unfortunately, the printer is dead, and I just got a new.  In order to start to 'clean up', I removed all HP on the Mac software - and then installed the printer. I can print - and scan using progtram analysis. The printer is connect via ethernet.

This left me with 2 numbers

    (1) for installation, Setup fails when I reached the setting of alerts (communication error - please restart the program) try to configure alerts in HP utility fail - even once to the criticism fail - restart program

    (2) I'm not able to activate the scan of the computer on the Mac.  I get "communication failed" when I try to turn on the feature in HP utillity

    What I tried

Delete all HP software (several times) and reinstall it again - still the same problem

I removed the HP software and used the diskutillity to fix the rights - and reinstalled him brand new - still same problem.

I have reset the printingsystem on the mac - still the same problem

I still think it's weird - because everything worked great with the first printer I had! -replace it with a similar one caused the problem.  And this isn't the printer - because scan to computer works with my wife PC

I have run out of ideas - and hopes that someone can solve this problem!

    Carsten

Thank you for your reply - the problem is now resolved.  It seems that when you run Uninstall HP also something with the printerdrives provided by Apple update. I noticed that version 3.1 was installed on March 2, when I installed the first printer, I bought (the one who broke down) in all my tests, uninstalling and installing the drivers, I have checked apple update, it says no new updates, but last night he said suddenly that there was an update and then it reienstalled the 3.1 drivers HP again - and surpirice the problem has been solved.

Thank you for your quick response!

  • Send by server communication error

Until today I could wireless transfer my photos from my HS SX280 on my computer from a remote location using 'send via the server '. Today, after the first file download progress bar is completed, I get "Communication error" "Error detected". Is something wrong with the server? I am able to download at Canon Image Gateway, but this option does not provide any automatic transfer to my computer. I reinstalled Camer window and tried again with my computer, turned on and the. I also reset the settings on the camera's wireless. None of this works. All other functions on the camera's wireless work very well.

Maybe it's a firewall issue, but turn off the Norton firewall is no help either. Anyone have any suggestions to make this work?

    Thank you

I was able to solve this problem roughly as follows:

    • I have connected to my Canon iMage gateway account and remove all web services are listed
    • -Click on the link for your camera
    • -Click on "parameters of the Web Service.
    • -Click 'delete the camera link settings '.

    • I am not this machine right now and cannot walk everyone through the exact steps for this part of the process of

That's all. I disconnected the device from the computer and tried the option 'Send via the server' on the camera. It worked the first time. Photos downloaded in the ether and is appeared as if by magic in the folder on my computer at home.

  • What is communication error 321 *.

I just brought a premium officejet pro 8600 and I can't send a fax. I get "a communication error occurred during the fax transmission. and I get error 321 *.

    Hello pa62,.

There is an article that describes the error that you are experiencing, located here:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/buu02549

The 321 error is described as such.

    Definition

There was a communication error with the fax recipient because of poor phone line conditions.

    Solution
Set the receiving machine to receive at a lower transmission speed
If the session fails after several pages of a large document, return the document in the form of several small documents.

Retry the fax to a receiving another time when improved telephone line conditions.

Call phone provider if the driving conditions fail to improve.

Please return results as this should solve your problem.
