Communication I/O Stream socket operations

Hello!

I want to build a mechanism that opens a socket on a server connection and then independently send and receive messages to and from the server on this connection. My approach is like this: main thread I run a wire (ignition wire) which opens a StreamConnection (socket://iptro, deviceside = true) and get the DataInputStream and DataOutputStream objects out of it. DataInputStream using I create another thread (since reading and writing will be independent - you still wonder if it is possible) for the input data. I use then a mechanism of notification to use received data.

DataOutputStream is then used to write operations...

The problem I have:

Writing seems to be fine as I can see the logs just before and after DataOutputStream writeUTF and hunting methods, but the AutoPlay fails a 'General' IOException. Now, I assumed this StreamConnection can handle the entrance / exit operations... If not, is there a way to do?

Has anyone done this independent and operations?

Kind regards

Isabelle

Must be in this forum, but good luck looking for...

  • Inter Process Communication in the guest operating system

    Hello

I had a question regarding such communication processes in the guest operating system. The hypervisor is involved in the IPC somehow or what OS guest is authorized to provide uninterrupted CPI by the hypervisor?

In particular, the IPC system calls do not cause a trap to the hypervisor?

As far as I understand it, the guest operating system is allowed to manage the IPC mechanisms without any involvement of the hypervisor. I would be grateful if someone could confirm and possibly explain this better

    Hello

I had a question regarding such communication processes in the guest operating system. The hypervisor is involved in the IPC somehow or what OS guest is authorized to provide uninterrupted CPI by the hypervisor?

Well unbroken is a general question, the hypervisor provides a virtual machine a slice of time on one vCPU so this slice expires, the virtual machine has no treatment until he gets another slice. This is the case when the CPU is more engaged.

In particular, the IPC system calls do not cause a trap to the hypervisor?

    Laughing out loud

As far as I understand it, the guest operating system is allowed to manage the IPC mechanisms without any involvement of the hypervisor. I would be grateful if someone could confirm and possibly explain this better

What leads you to believe that the hypervisor is involved? The hypervisor handles memory allocation all access startup and the VM disk, but other that the allocation for the virtual machine, there is nothing special happens. If the vmemctl driver is in use, then the balloon pilot is also involved, which could lead to some interesting things to happen when the balloon inflates and deflates.

  • Operation entering FTP adapter does not

    Hi all
I run on SOA 11g on Oracle's Linux machine.

FtpAdapter is configured and works well for outbound operations (my composite test can put a file on a ftp location).

For inbound operation that something does not work, my composite, an adapter simple ftp + bpel process, do start ever (no cases).

I am able to get the file using an ftp client (tested also soa Server computer).

I just increased the server log and I can see the ftp communication, but an exception is thrown in the socket operation after * FTP FTP adapter Project2 command: LIST, answer: [[*]]
    * 125 data connection already open; Transfer from. ; *

Re: FTP adapter does not pick up files

  • ISE - unable to get SNMP information with the community

This is the output of the switch when clicking on a switch in authentications followed in ise interface

    access-list 3 permit xxx.xxx.zz.0 0.0.0.255

    access-list 3 permit xxx.xxx.yyy.0 0.0.0.255 (admin/monitoring)

The unknown community name keeps growing when I click on the name of interface switch in ise... any suggestions?

SNMP is configured for the switch added to ise with the name of Community law (v2c - snmp - com.public)

    ISE ver 1.1.2.145

    Thank you for your help

Currently, Yes, this is a limitation

'public' solves it.  So my advice: 'public' set with an ACL restricting EHT nodes only.

  • VMCI socket stability problems

    Hello

I have now completed my Java socket API wrapper and I'm experiencing problems of severe stability in my tests; It takes place when I push the traffic through it (Bluescreens on the host pointing everywhere). My test spec is as follows:

    Host:

    • Vista Ultimate SP1

    • WS 6.5.1 build-126130

    VM:

    Windows XP SP3

    VMware tools 7.8.4 build-126130

I have about 6 simultaneous handles open at the same time and very soon the computer freezes or gives me a blue screen. Some of the bluescreens that I pointed out are:

    • crash NTFS.sys

    • IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

At first, I thought it was due to a conflict with my other virtual server machines (VirtualBox and Virtual PC 2007), but their uninstall does not solve the problem. Something goes very wrong deep in the kernel code as Vista cannot recover from the error. If anyone has seen this before that I should be grateful if you would learn more about the cause.

    Kind regards

    Andreas

We found a potential bug on our windows application (we are still working on post) where you can crash if a thread calls close while the other thread is blocked on an active socket operations.

So if t1 calls recv - blocks

    T2 calls close

T1 wakes up and the plug is missing.

Never close a socket while the other threads can use it?

  • Application cause unit to freeze

My application works a certain time, but then the device (the Simulator too) freezes. If I restart it, there is a dialog box that says that my application failed. It seems that the event thread was not able to kill him.

I think something is to flood the memory, but it's only a guess.

In the console, I see that I often get the following:

    Freeing Tail 1fa06c0BfAllocFailure(2)Pruning dead refsBfAllocFailure(2)Freeing Tail 1fe0fe0BfAllocFailure(2)...

Am I correct that I did something wrong?

Or is it only the garbage collection, and it is?

Can you help me to identify the problem?

I am not convinced that a running stream socket connection cause this kind of problem, we run taken all the time.  Also not convinced that the Bitmap is related, if the unit was short memory you will see the hourglass icon all the time that the device is garbage collection operation.

Your original post said: "application failed".  Normally, this means that something is blocking the event Thread.  It could be your is running on the event Thread, or it is possible that you made a very lengthy treatment on the thread of events.  Be that as it may, I review the design of your application, find out what treatment you do on the thread of events and move offshore.

  • Problem of test Signal before using the TCP connection

Right now my application uses a SocketConnection TCP to communicate with a remote server.  It works fine, but I'm trying to make sure that my program can correctly handle the situation to move to an area with no coverage.

When I run my application, if I uncheck the box "on the cover" for GSM and CDMA under Network properties, my app fine until it calls the OutputStreamWriter.write () function to send something on the socket connection.  I have it in a try/catch block, but it just seems to hang instead of throwing an exception.

How can I check the signal before attempting to send data on the SocketConnection?

To facilitate clear life upwards, here's the order of what happens:

1 application starts on the cover.

    2 SocketConnection made successfully.

    3 OutputStreamWriter successfully SocketConnection.

    4. coverage is lost

5 OutputStreamWriter.write () is called, but freezes instead of throwing an exception.

The socket connection output stream write operations do not throw an exception when there is no coverage is the correct behavior. That's because on cellular networks the IP tunnel to the carrier (and therefore the TCP connections on this tunnel) survives loss of coverage. For example, if your application opens a connection TCP from a BlackBerry, then the BlackBerry loses coverage, then take cover, say, 1 minute later, the TCP connection opened by your application will continue works fine, unless intermediate network component or your server closes the connection due to inactivity.

  • QT: Cisco ip phone serivices response Authentication URL

    Hello

I wrote a program with Qt to work with cisco ip telephony services. I use QNetworkAccessManager to display XML objects to phones and taken the QTcpServer with QTextStream to respond to authentication requests (simply writing http headers with "AUTHORIZED" in the text stream). Code:

    QString currTime.currentDateTimeUtc () m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString = cTime ("ddd, dd MMM yyyy hh: mm :"); ")

    QTextStream os (socket); operating system< "http/1.1="" 200="">
    "Content-Type: text/plain\r\n".
    "Date:" cTime + "GMT\r\n" "."
    "Connection: close\r\n"
    "\r\n".
    "AUTHORIZED";

The problem is the phones do not accept this response and return .

I have used node.js to before and wrote simply "ALLOWED" to http.serverResponse object, but I'm confused now why it does not work with Qt

  • Someone at - it never brings help here? I'm trying to find out if view cache works with firefox 9 or 10, but no one seems willing to help

Necessary assistance because there is no way to contact someone at firexo, which I find incredible. How people are supposed to get help?

Are you talking about this addon?

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/CacheViewer/

    Its been updated here:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/CacheViewer-continued/

And is compatible up to 10 Firefox.

This forum has also no personal Manager of Mozilla Firefox to answer questions here, it's all answered by volunteers not paid. Sometimes, someone from Mozilla will comment in a thread, but this is rare. Help/support is provided by community volunteers aka Firefox.

And, Yes, I'm a volunteer too.

Since Firefox is not a product that you have to pay, there is no interactive support line, you can call or the person to have a live chat with. The other reason I think is that they would not find enough people quality of hire to answer questions professionally & manage hundreds of thousands of questions of how Microsoft or can of Apple.

When Windows 7 starts, the icons on the desktop, menu start and records are white then start then normal fill when seen once again, any reason why?

    I used Windows 7 drivers.

    Thank you

    Hey mate,

I have too many Qosmio F50 and you can change the option if, after hibernate or stand-by the account should be locked or not. As far as I know that this can be changed in power management.

About this window of Event Viewer, I never heard talk about this and my Qosmio F50 works fairly well with Windows 7. You have installed all the drivers for it? You have yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?

I also used Windows 7 drivers, but did you download from the Toshiba page? These drivers are pre-tested and normally should work pretty well.

  • OR PCIe-7851R compatibility?

    Hello

I'm going to get a PC the appropriate for the Board of the NI PCIe-7851R. But I do not know what bus card PCIe use this forum, x 1, or x 4 or x 16? I'm sure it can work with x 16 'remote connection', but what about x 1?

In addition, another thing is the memory required for the FPGA PC target. On the site it is said

Resource memory requirements vary according to the target FPGA; While 2 GB of memory is sufficient for typical screw FPGAS, the unique characteristics of each FPGA design can affect the amount of memory required:

    • FPGA Virtex-5 and earlier versions
        • Recommended: 3 to 4 GB of memory (32-bit OS)

This mean for the FPGA target computer, we need to better use at least 3 GB of RAM? What is the minimum requirement for this?

Also, if my main computer is 64-bit system, it will be compatatible with target FPGA 32-bit PC?

    Thank you

    Jean-François

    Hello wjchen,

It uses the chassis 1 x.

System memory requirements depend on what your program does overall, what operating system you use, and what other programs you run in the background. 3GB tends to be limited to any Windows 7 machine, but it should work fine if you're just under LabVIEW and you do not need to store a large amount of information in RAM. I would recommend even when at least 4 GB of RAM, especially considering how cheap it is.

How your 64-bit machine communicates with the 32-bit computer that is hosting the target FPGA? You can communicate between two computers via TCP/IP, network-has published the shared variables and other methods. This communication is independent of the operating system.

You can also use the PCIe-7851R directly on a 64-bit system - just be sure to install 32-bit LabVIEW.

Note that the 7851R does not include a processor or a real time operating system - it is an FPGA with DIO and AIO that communication with your computer.
