Community trade mark as well as TMS in a demo

Hi all

We followed demo in our office:

CUCM 8.6.2 <->SIP trunk to VCS 7.02

CTS1300

TSM 13.1.2

C Codec

Of MXP

1.5 CTM (will be updated at the latest)

Is it possible to us in a CTM 1.8 with TMS 13.X DemoLab?

I have now run successfully TMS with CUCM with the BBFRR (on the CTS also on the Codecs it) works very well, very well.

Any input appreciated.

Thank you.

Best regards

Georg

Hi, George,

As long as you have CTS-Manager and TMS manage planning meeting for the different endpoints, which should work.

CTS - Man 1.8 will be able to discover endpoints that you saved to CUCM 8.6.2, and you can manually add those that are registered in the VCS; but remember to avoid setting up 1 end point that will be managed by the CTS - Man and MSDS.

Kind regards

Johan

    Query UrlENEQuery = new UrlENEQuery ("", "UTF - 8");

    query.setNavNumERecs (100);

  • Integration of CUCM, CTS and TMS

We currently have a 8.6/CTS-Man/CTMS CUCM environment for our telepresence system.  All systems are CTS only.  Currently, connect us to a Tandberg system via Server CUBE/VCS/telepresence.

We are looking at the possibility of integrating the two systems together.  This would involve decommissioning our CTS-man and using their existing planning TMS.  Networks would be open to each other so that they didn't cross highway of CUBE/VCS.

Can someone tell me please to some documents on the integration of the TMS with our CUCM for planning?

Furthermore, is it possible to have a single MSDS to perform the planning on the two CUCM registered CTS and saved VCS Tandberg endpoints end points, as well as to perform planning tasks for Community trade marks and MSE8000/telepresence Server?

    Thank you

    Hi Nick

It is a very good question, and the bellows are drawn from the responses on the features that each product can provide you (CTS - Man and TMS) however as we know the TP Cisco world is changing and moving quickly if the bellows has been updated / changed and can someone comment on this topic will be great for us

    Meetings 1-booking

    TMS:

    -adhoc and meetings,

    -3rd-party endpoints reservation.

    -Ms Exchange, Domino, and API

  • Telepresence MultiPoint switch

    Hello

Try to learn the telepresence Multi Point pass but failed to get a clear picture of how the screens turns after bypass surgery CTS 3 or more together.

    a. what happens for each site displays x 3 CTS 3000 together? or maybe more?

    b. how to MultiPoint chooses which screens/segments to display?

Thanks in advance and happy new year!

    Kind regards

    Paul

    Hi Paul,.

First of all, I understand you are trying to learn more about Community trade marks. However, it is important to note that Cisco is going to the server TP and CTMS will be crush by TP server soon. This is the end of official sales and announces end of life for the community Cisco brands: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/prod/collateral/ps7060/ps8329/ps8331/ps7315/end_of_life_notice_c51-729081.html

Question A: it depends on what policy switch is configured on the CTM. You have two options, switch to the room and switch of the screen. When using the policy of the switch of the room, when the users speak to any side (left, right, Center) of the CTS 3000, for example, the telepresence system all (three screens) is displayed for remote participants. When you use the Switch screen policy, when users talk on the right side of the CTS 3000, for example, only the right side will appear to remote participants.

Question B: well, CTMS makes this choice first based on what policy switch is configured. In addition, when CTMS receives audio and video from an endpoint CTS 3000, for example, because of Protocol TIP, CTMS is able to discern what video and audio streaming is coming from each side of the CTS 3000. For example, when users are talking on the right side of the table, CTMS know that these audio and streaming video are coming from the right side of the telepresence system, because the TIP protocol brings this feature. CTMS is able to discern when he is supposed to show each segment (form) of telepresence, when you use the screen Switch strategy, for example. In addition, CTMS is also able to compare the audio level received from each segment of each endpoint connected to the Conference, so that it knows which segment has a higher level of voice and we can consider this segment as the active speaker.

TP Server uses a similar logic, but there are some important differences, especially when it comes to the layout.

    I hope this helps.

  • External calls to CTS-3000 using CUCM

    Hello

I'm trying to configure the scenario below, and I just want to know if it is supported

We have a system of telepresence CTS-3000 registered to a CUCM dedicated just for telepresence units. We have ICT trunk between telepresence CUCM and CUCM have registered phones who works for inter-classes calls.

When I ring a number external unity of the CTS, the call gets initiated and falls straight lines. I registered an IP phone to telepresence CUCM and I can make outgoing calls.

On newspapers of the CTS, I see a "call ended due to the distance point of endpoint resource unavailable ' error.

    Thanks in advance

If you try to call from your CTS, through ICT devices on CUCM telephony?  What are the endpoints you are trying to call?

CTS endpoints use telepresence Interoperability Protocol (TIP) for call control.  Only endpoints speak advanced the CTS models are CTM bridge.  Video normal Cisco phones do not TIP (including 9971, 7985, CUVC, etc.).  Audio only phones also do not speak the TIP.  Basically, the CTS rooms can only call each other without a MCU such as Community trade marks or the server of telepresence from Tandberg/Codian.

  • Telepresence Reporting

Someone has some good ideas around telepresence Reporting

I think that one of the key elements missing is this.

You can already follow some data in based on CUCM CDRs.

For meetings of P2P and Community trade marks, you can use CDRs records like any other phone to phone call to track the duration of meetings and the use. Any decent billing application should be able to generate those, in the end, they are always regular calls. (You can also use CAR to do this, will be very basic but will still help)

If you have any specific requirement, we cannot follow with CUCM CDRs or CDRs CTMS you can hire your team counts Cisco so that they can talk to TSBU and apply for PERSONS of a specific feature that you need in your deployment.

  • TP Installation

    Hello

I am new to telepresence, and I got a job to establish the environment of Cisco WebEx One Touch Meetinig Teleprence. have got facilities such as below:

MCS-7835-I3-ECS1, CTS 3000 codec; the documentation seems there is Server/service as Community trade marks, CT-manager and CUCM.  My question is: what equipment should perform such services, or need to connect remote CUCM?

It would be better if can get more information

I would recommend starting with the 'prerequisites' here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/cts_admin/webex_solutions/guide/cts_webex_pref.html#wp1010482

The WebEx OneTouch feature requires a CTMS (MultiPoint Switch), CTS-Manager & CUCM to implement. You can use the Commerical Express option to combine on a single MCS Server (there are some drawbacks with the number of users, etc.), see here for more details on this:

  • CTMS 1.8 native interop with C, EX series, endpoints Movi

    Hi all

After being surprised and amazed that Cisco finally came out to them with native interop support between CTS and C, EX, Movi endpoints I tripped over a brick wall with interop native of Community trade marks.

For each call to a and C, EX, or point endpoint Movi, the CTMS returns a

    ERROR ALARM_CCS_MEDIA_TIMEOUT

13/12/2011-18:31 ALARM_CCS_MEDIA_TIMEOUT ERROR CCS Disconnected call: media Timeout, directory number: StreamType 908: STR_TYPE_AUDIO 9100000697 908

Make sure that the trunk and SIP endpoint configurations are correct, to collect newspapers CTMS and CTS.

The highly technical paper here, but essentailly STRP I get the same error for each test.

    Any ideas?

    Mihail,

This corresponds to the information in the release notes 1.8 CTMS found here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/telepresence/multipoint_switch/1_8/release/notes/CTMS_1_8_RNs.html#wp202716

E20, Movi or ICSU endpoints are not yet registered as endpoints supported.

  • Call dropped upon joining a scheduled meeting with the bridge

I am trying to upgrade our infrastructure for telepresence. We want to reassociate CTS-3000 endpoint at all locations new TP servers on newer versions (as compatibility matrix confirms versions are compatible), before you update the firmware of CTS-3000.

    Current firmware of CTS-3000: 1.7.0.2 (4719)

    New servers

    • CUCM 8.6.2a
    • CTS-Manager: 1.9.0.0 (198)
    • CTS Multipoint Switch: 1.9.3.0 (89)

When the placement of the CTS-3000 on the new server, they register correctly with the 7970 phones that control the CTS.

Everything works except the most important: at the request of the meetings by using the bridge of Community trade marks.

    • Meeting ad - hoc after the CTMS works,
    • Connection to a static meeting on all CTS MARKS works,
    • When you start a meeting, the first room to compose the bridge will connect ang get the message saying «you are the first participant...» ». When other parts attempt to reach the bridge, the call is dropped. I found in some newspapers (I don't remember those who and cannot find it again) and the error message saying something that he loses the appeal because the line is busy...

The other thing is that on the new Director of the CTS, when I go to support->-> summary endpoints, in the DUDM column-> device error, there is an 'X' indicating an error. But there is no link with a meesage to error and I don't know where to look. I think this is weired because the CTS-3000 and 7970 recording properly on the CUCM phone.

I have spend hours to compare the configuration of all servers and the web search, but may not know what is worng. Someone at - it a matter of experience?

    Hi Matt,

    Try this.

    -Connect with CUCM

-Go to the user of the Application and select the user from CTS - Manager

-Remove the point of termination/private room with 'X' mark on the subject.

-Save it and re - discover the room

-It must be passed to CTS-Manager

-Now follow the same procedure and add the MAC address of controlled device (section of the users of the App)

-Rediscover the piece, and then try again.

    Kind regards

  • Change of domain in the CTS Manager invalidate the license?

I need to change the field used in the existing CTS-Manager, but I'm afraid that if I do so, the license will be becomes invalid and CTS - Man will be unusable until I can get a new permit. Will be invalid license if I changed the domain?  I know that I need to import the LDAP server certificates and exchange news, but I want to assure you that I do not lose the license. I couldn't find the answer in the documentation. Help, please.

    Thank you

    Tony

    Tony:

CTM is installed on a physical server or VM Ware?

On your question - change the domain name on the CTS Manager will change the MAC license, which would be non - I just tried to change only the domain name on my MC in the laboratory, and after it restarted, the MAC license remained unchanged.

If you change the DNS servers, however, the MAC license will change - seen elsewhere on the field and in my lab.

    As a general rule:

On a CTM installed on a physical server license MAC will not change if you change the name of domain/DNS.  It must always be the same.

On CTM as VM, MAC license will only change if you change some settings.  The MAC license is generated according to certain parameters, so if you change those, MAC license will change accordingly.

I still need to find a specific list to the Community trade mark as to what will change the license MAC, but it should be similar to the list of items found on the side CUCM:

  • Interop MCU

Hey guys, good to see a forum of telepresence. I have a question for the new MCU CUVC-5230. I guess it will give telepresence and H323 interoperability, but it will also eliminate the need for Community trade marks?

I guess that the answer is no, but just making sure.

The CUVC 'normal' on the endpoints of telepresence through the CTMS during a multipoint interop call. Community trade mark is obligatory for all multipoint telepresence interop calls.
