compact vision system 1457 indicators

our company has used a number of EVS-1464 RT in the past with good results.

Does anyone know of performance indicators (eg. filtering) of the new CV 1457.

How do they compare to the former EVS-1464 RT?

I would be particularly interested in the operation of 2 or more cameras of hi-res (2MPix) on the same

CVS to a repetition of the cycle approximately 0.3 seconds.

Any hint is appreciated

  • I'm trying to upgrade Windows Home premiun 32 bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, but the system blocks (indicators of progress and mouse gel) around 70%

  • Basis of LabVIEW Development with Compact RIO device software

    Hello.  Currently, I have the LabVIEW Base development software package and have been using it with DAQ Compact devices for the acquisition of basic data.  I would now like to start integrating controls in my system, changing to RIO Compact for deterministic real-time features.  My question is that I would be able to build applications for the Compact RIO system using only the basis of LabVIEW Development package without updating immediately?  Maybe some features are not available for me, but could at least get a good start like that?

    A CompactRIO embedded time real operating system (RTOS) called VxWorks you need to target the deployment of LabVIEW code to the device. Classic LabVIEW screws you will have been written so far are built to target general purpose operating systems (GPO) such as windows.

    To create screws that are deployable to STSOp, you will need the real-time Module that is not included in the basis of LabVIEW. As a result, to take advantage of the embedded FPGA, you'll need to install the LabVIEW FPGA Module as well.

    As long as you have the FPGA modules and in real time, it seems to me that you should be able to control these devices with LabVIEW Base. Without these software components you will not be able to create an instance of the device target your LabVIEW project.

  • IMAQ vs NI Vision

    Hello...  First of all a question about IMAQ...  I've seen many examples of LabVIEW which includes IMAQ VI...  What is necessary to own or buy to access these IMAQ vi?  Second, what is IMAQ versus NI Vision?  NEITHER Vision a more recent name for what was IMAQ or is it something else entirely?

    I have a Developer Suite license and thanks to that I have many versions of LabVIEW Professional Developer Suite (PDS) LabVIEW through LabVIEW 2011 7 (does not have 2012).  But I don't have any specific modules vision/image...  All I really want to do is open a specific. TIF image and view this image on a LabVIEW front panel led.  Short of owning any IMAQ or NI Vision vi, made the main PDS provides the tools I need to do this simple task?

    And again, I'm lost in the word soup.  What is IMAQ as compared or contrasted with NI Vision?

    There is a lot of information to analyze through this question, let thus starts at the top.

    NEITHER Vision is the platform of any vision that NEITHER has to offer. This can be broken down into two basic categories; Hardware and software. Hardware includes our smart cameras, Vision systems shipped, Frame Grabber cards (PCI, PXI, PCIe, SMU) and other material. The software can be decomposed into Vision Development Module (VDM) and the Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI). Sorry to throw in acronyms, but it will save some typing over the long term.

    Vision Development Module, is the great global toolkit for LabVIEW Vision applications. The Vision Development Module includes several pieces of small software. These software include Machine Vision algorithms and several other pallets of treatment as well as the software of Acquisition Vision (SAV), which can be broken down into three additional parts. Here's where we come to the VI IMAQ, Vision Acquisition Software includes IMAQ IMAQ i/o and IMAQdx. IMAQ and IMAQ i/o are free software, and IMAQdx isn't.

    Now, as for your specific application the Vision Development Module is not included in the Suite of developers at least that specifically added to your package. However, you will be able to acquire and save an image with the base IMAQ VI.

    IMAQ means Acquisition of Image and is a driver package for communications standards of different camera as well as several basic image manipulations. With the free IMAQ driver, you will have access to the VI listed in the knowledge base following.

    Once you have the IMAQ VI installed you should be able to open the. TIF file and display it using the ReadFile.VI IMAQ and an indicator of the image.

  • Vision Assistant - not found .bin

    I would try here first before raising a support of thought gives the floor just in case someone has met before.

    Current running Win7 64 bit and LV 2013 SP1 (via 2014 DS SP1), with the development of Vision system installed. I have a range of fully powered Vision and can use the low level of Vision to my heart's content...

    However, I can't run Vision Assistant. Passing it to the Vision Assistant of the palette, I get the following two errors:

    I am also unable to open instances Vision Assistant previously configured in another code, even if no error is returned - the VA just does not work.

    I also have LV 2012 SP1 installed (including older versions) and now get the same error with it. I have not tried to use GOING because I went to LV 2013 several months ago.

    Has anyone encountered this before?

    I'm just trying to Repair Wizard 2013 Vision, which I'd like to think will fix it, but we'll see it. I'll let you know when 117 all required components are also repair finished

    Unfortunately, this involved repair of components for 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010... but still, at least, I put my feet for a little while as it ended.

    Will mark as resolved in case someone else has the same problem.

    How can I view my front panel, running on the Exchange virtual server on a monitor connected to the DVI - I output of the EVS-1464?

    Hi Roy, I'm not sure if actually read Hossein that KB or not, but she deals with the display on the front panel on the network on a Windows computer, not on via the connection of the monitor on the Exchange virtual server running LabVIEW RT.

    To answer your original question, no, it is not possible to look at the façade of standard LabVIEW on the RT system today. All the code used to display all the buttons on the Panel before the user interface, controls, and indicators are simply not present in LabVIEW Real-time and is only visible on a separate computer that is running the development environment or by using a web browser that has the plugin installed LabVIEW.

    Have a display of the UI on RT is certainly a requested feature and it would be available someday. You can see this request: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Real-Time-Idea-Exchange/Real-time-display/idi-p/1391108 . He has some good ideas for what other alternatives exist today also.

    However, it is a way to use the monitor on the Exchange virtual server and other LabVIEW RT systems output. Module Vision Development includes video RT on the screw that can display any image on the connected monitor. You can either display images captured from cameras or images custom overlay text and simple graphics objects (lines, circles, rectangles, etc.). It is certainly more effort than normal front panel editor in LabVIEW but it could be adapted to your needs if you want some things to be displayed. You will of course have no mouse/keyboard so that you cannot interact with any display of the elements directly.

    I just upgraded my Macbook Pro 13 "since mid-2010 at the El Capitan 10.11.5."

    Configuration of my Macbook Pro:

    2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

    NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

    These are the problems I encounter:

    • I can't switch between the previous page and next page with 3 fingers sliding left or right, I could do without effort on my previous version of the osx
    • The startup time is very high... (40 seconds to 1 minute)
    • The system preference takes time to open

    Please help on the above problems.

    The only reason to upgrade my Macbook Pro has been because the iTunes was not compatible with my new iPhone SE. (there where we need the itunes 12.3.3.17 and who used to work on my OSx snow leopard 10.6.8)

    Please help me to solve the above problems. Also let me know if I need a downgrade to older versions of the operating system

    To be honest, with only 4 GB of RAM and running El Cap - it all seems normal with a HD of spinning.  Snow Leopard is much lighter and compact operating system.

    The only reason to upgrade my Macbook Pro has been because the iTunes was not compatible with my new iPhone SE.

    It doesn't pay to get too far behind in technology or OS X.

  • Update of movement causing problems

    I developed a Machine Vision system that has worked more than 10 years without any problem of movement. I recently upgraded to Windows XP to Win7 computer; LabVIEW 7.1 to 2013; TestStand 4.2 to 2013; OR-Motion of 7.7 to 8.5.1.

    Initially, the system seems to work without major modifications of the software well. But soon, he began to have problems with movement and motion control card (NI PCI-7334):

    1. When you move the XY Table; the vi ' check move full status "generates an error and does not expect the XY table arrive at its destination. The table always moves properly in the desired position. (do not have an account of the error right now)

    2. I have a LabVIEW program that constantly monitors the digital input ports on the PCI-7334 card that stops playback of the entries correctly (they are high; low readings). He also uses one of the ports as a control output turns on and he continues to work.

    When one or both of these problems occur, if I check the card Max there is a! point to the icon and it says that the firmware is up to date. If I initialize the card the exclimation mark disappears and the firmware is "up-to-date". Removed it from the issues above; for awhile, then the problems will repeat.

    I know it's a long shot, but any idea what could happen? I have watched closely on the screw and can't seem to find a memory leak or race condition. Is it possible that my VI which constantly monitors digital ports is to interfere with the operation of the query? As I said, it worked for 10 years without this problem before the upgrade.

    I finally found the problem a few weeks ago. The error disappeared.

    The problem was that the LabVIEW program that was constantly monitoring the digital input ports on the PCI-7334 map seems to conflict with VI which ensured control of the movement. Since they were operating asynchronously at any time that the two might try to access the card at the same time and cause the error. The difficulty was to eliminate the continually followed VI and replace it with digital input/outport screw the work of movement between the two calls.

    I lost a bit of features making this but the system as a whole works fine.

  • How to build color grain sorting

    I am currently working on the build system for the sort of color of the grain. The system process will be like this

    -The grain will run in a chute in a continuous stream of almost (with several lane).

    -use of scan line GigE and vision software from OR to detect the failure of grain (black color).

    -After the vision system to detect defects that can be random in herizontal KING.

    -I guess the vision system can send the position of each defect to the KING (not pixel. (or coordinate X).

    -Then, use default position to trigger the ejection nozzle air to dismiss the flaws.

    I have a lot of questions to be clarified before going any further, please help answer my questions.

    -That the software of NOR and the material can be used to inspect the defect of color?

    -How to get the position or the X-coordinate of each defect to KING?

    -Is it possible to send the default position information to the PLC? and how?

    How long do you have between the camera taking the picture and turn the air release valve?  It does not appear that it would be very long for me.

    If it's extremely critical time, I would probably do the system using a Camera Link interface, which built in the FPGA.  NOR has the one I used before quite successfully.  I do the treatment on the FPGA for image and then control the valves of air of an FPGA.  I would like that the entire system FPGA and RT to ensure that when everything is right.  You do not want Windows to waste your time on something like that.

    Once your image processing finds a fault, you just a delay queue and trigger the air valve after the delay.  Tweak you the delay until you have found the right time.  Depending on your air valve system, you may be able to eliminate the individual grains.

  • How do I auto detects the target using the trigger VBAI mode

    I had a vision system of machine ready to take choose using VBAI 2013 sp1.  Also, I use a sensor switch to trigger the camera to take pictures.

    When I type the loop running, it just won't continue to take photos no matther switch sensor triggers the camera or not.  I think it's the step that I used for the recording of the image, in the stage of registration of the image, I used picture newspaper still, but I don't want to use which is only what inspection status allows no other choice.

    So, how can I let the unit wait until he got the trigger of the alarm switch signal, and then take a picture and save the image?

    the stage of inspection to acquire the image, I used the trigger mode and everything worked fine, except the time error settting upward, I used 5000ms and if I put bigger like the 50000ms, VBAI turned really slow and showed time out error.

    If anyone can help me on this matter?

    You can use the diagram States-transitions to go only in a State based on the result produced by some steps.

    First, remove the registration step of the image of the State to check with you get the image

    Press Ctrl + E to turn the main view on the state diagram.

    Right click and create a new State.

    Right click on the State to inspect and create a new transition to this new State.

    Double click on the transition to edit it.

    Choose to acquire the Image - waiting time and set the condition false, to spend in this state when there is no timeout.

    Move the default transition from that State to the final State.

    Click on the new State to select it, and then add the image registration step.

    Using a state diagram, you have programmed an inspection that will record the image when there is no timeout.

    The State-transition diagram is a powerful tool to add a logic, branching and looping of your inspection.

    Open the tutorial 5 - state diagram Branching.vbai and tutorial 6 - State chart Looping.vbai for examples on how to use it.

  • How do LV2009 see my PCIE-1433?

    Hi all - I think that this problem is just a matter of choosing the right download.  I am changing an LV application that has been installed on the demo system provided by a seller. Very kindly they offer all their source code, but it is written in the 2009 version, and they do not include the development environment. I downloaded 2009 sp1 and installed using my 2014 SP1 license. So far so good.

    When I open the VI, LV could not find one of the sub - vi IMAQ. Eventually, I realized that I needed to install the 2009 version of the CQI Vision System. Downloaded and installed, and who took care of most of the missing screws. There are still some which required the development of Vision Kit, but I do not have this license, so I removed those and tried to run the VI. I get errors that it could not open the framegrabber. It turned out that I had not released the driver for PCIE-1433.

    So I downloaded the driver, installed, package and the PCIE-1433 is still not recognized.  Now I'm stuck.  I know that this system should work somehow, because demand for the seller has worked until I started playing with it.

    Ideas, people?  Install everything in a different order (above is the actual order I installed things).

    It seems that the PCIe-1433 needs driver IMAQ 4.4 or later, which is included in going TO 2010.03. You need this driver and LabVIEW 32-bit.

  • While the loop is in need of a countdown

    Hi all

    I use aTeststand/Labview/Vision system to watch different channels on an LCD screen. TestStand while loops but sometimes the expected text text LCD monitor is not captured and the 'little' will make a loop forever because the product of the screen shutsoff after x seconds. Is there a feature in Teststand where I can init a timer with a seconds value and start running? So if the LCD screen timesout after a few seconds the timer reaches zero and the while loop will ideally end move to the next step (or closing sequence would be ok). While running the timer in parallel with the acquisition of the vision.

    I could do in Labview but I have a lot of while loops that need this feature so much prefer a solution Teststand. LabVIEW would be at least 2 additional steps by while loop. An example would be greatly appreciated.

    I tried to download files from this site xyz.seq, but they save as html format am I doing wrong?

  • Camera Link or USB3

    I have a vision system using a color camera and frame grabber (1410).  As the future of cards near his end, prepare for obsolecense I think camera Camera Link or USB3-migrate.  I used the Camera Advisor and did not see an option USB3.  USB3 has the bandwidth and is less expensive than the Camera Link but I don't want to have to deal with the writing of my own vision of calls to acquire images of the USB3 camera or change the settings.  I want to be able to use MAX to do preliminary tests / troubleshooting the device.  I had problems with not being USB2 devices is not 100% compatible with the drivers OR so I worry about the USB3.  My question is should I just go with Camera Link or I'll be able to easily use the USB3 with LabVIEW?

    You don't need to use the Camera Advisor to see if compatibility exists with USB 3.0. You just need to make sure that your camera is USB3 consistent Vision. Also note that comparing Camera Link with USB3 may not be the best. I see the USB3 compete more with the GigE interface. Camera Link interface can give you with bandwidths up to 850 MB/s and USB3 can give up to 400 Mbps with GigE around 125 MB/s. The USB3 plug-and-play functionality is very similar to GigE.

    NOR-IMAQdx, part of the Vision Acquisition Software driver package, supports USB 3.0 compatible USB3 Vision devices so you should be OK, using software products from National Instruments (including MAX) to interface with your device. Remember that USB 2.0 devices was a different story. With which National Instrumetns took only supported these devices with a DirectShow interface.

    In addition, suppliers of vision and camera announced USB3 only last fall. So there still some time before USB 3 becomes most used in the industry. Basler has just published the cameras Ace USB 3.0 , but they will be available in Q2.

    If you don't need the benefits of Camera Link and USB3 fills your specifications, my recommendation is to go with USB3.
