  All you need to do is understand that laptops are not designed for such purposes and because of that there is no support for Server 2003.
  All modern operating systems that sense with mobile computing are supported.

• Need help with Win XP Installation on Satellite A200

  I tried to install Win XP on a new Satellite A200 - 1TJ model PSAE3, so I used the link that is given to me and downloaded the Intel storage utility Disk Manager. But it does not at all.

  I did these steps so far:

  -Insert the CD in Win XP (version 32 b) laptop, press F12 to boot from the CD and start the installation. After the installation has begun, I pressed F6.
  -After a few seconds, Windows XP asked me for some externel drivers, I have inserted the floppy disk with the drivers in my external floppy drive, pressed in and chose the 82801 HEM / HBM SATA AHCI for my laptop. (Yes, it's the right one, I tried with the driver of another, similar, but it works with the first)
  -Continue the Installation, Windows asked me to install Windows XP, press F8 to accept, and she continued.
  -The window to the right controller appeared, I have chosen to format and create partitions, stop the installation and everything repeated while Win Vista is not your HARD drive, but the driver is installed.
  -J' chose C:\ to install, press ENTER to accept and then the first Windows files had been copied on the HARD disk.

  - Then the installation stopped, asked me to insert the "Intel Storage Manager driver" to my floppy drive, in my opinion the right one was inserted, I pressed Enter to continue, but nothing has changed.

  I just tried to use a WInXP unattended to pre-install the right drivers, but with this CD, the installation does not start. I also tried some drivers of Intel and Toshiba for the Intel Storage Manager, downlaoded all them and get to the disk, but it does not continue with the installation of Win XP.

  Maybe someone has another idea?

  The Intel Matrix Storage Manager is the right driver, well, looks like you made a mistake.

  You have formatted and created the partitions after the installation of the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. Please don t format the HARD drive, because in this case, you will lose the SATA driver!

  By the way; NLite software could help you to create a new XP and include the SATA drivers.

  It is a bit ridiculous - I have a laptop A200-195 which is not even 6 months and I tried to install the new Lost: The Video Game and it says that my graphics card is not compatible with Shader 3.0 which ever it is. What should I do to solve this problem, as I guess I'll come on this problem with probably all other games I buy goes forward. How much will cost to upgrade?

  When you start the game after installation of a screen comes up saying that I have not the minimum requirements:

  Its has a cross next to my graphics card, saying that my card is a mobile intel 945 GM Express Chipset Family. At the back of the game box, it said that minimum video card must be 128 MB DirectX 9.0 c Shader 3 enabled (256 recommended) compatible video card. In my information system it says my Ram adapter is 224MB - isn't that enough?

  Its also a cross next to Shader Model to say mine is a 2.

  All other system requirements are agreed.

  Can you explain to me what is ridiculous there? You bought the laptop with Intel graphics card and every beginner can tell you that this graphics card cannot deliver good game performance.

  Well, the BSOD is a serious problem, but I think that it could be solved easily.

  You must update the BIOS to version XP!
  At the moment European Toshiba page pilot provides a v.5.30 - WIN XP BIOS.

  Then, you must include the storage for the XP installation manager because this SATA driver is required to recognize the HARD drive. Without the SATA driver (Intel Storage Manager) the XP will not see the HARD drive!

  This is a common question on TV sets supporting only their native resolutions and non-VESA (The Video Electronics Standards Association) ones. Bascially when we do the automatic detection of the resolution of the screen on initial startup, we only detect the VESA modes.

  This problem is fixed in the next patch, that will search all standard modes.

  The simplest solution is to run with - window on the line of command, and then in the Options menu to choose the resolution you want to use, accept the game and quit. Then start the game again without - window.

  The command line in the shortcut ('Target') should look like this:
  "C:\Program Heroes\RelicCOH.exe Files\THQ\Company"-window .

  Hello I have recently upgraded to 64-Bit 7 Ultimate and manage with 2 games. The first being Age Of Empires 3 the second being Company of heroes. The games begin and will be launch to between 2 to 15 minutes then crash to the windows desktop. After the accident and live Explorer mail will constantly crash and the icons in the Explorer and live mail are all divided. I thought it was a card problem G so replaced my GTX 280 oc with a Radeon 5850, but exactly the same problem occurs. The only way to remove the crash is to reset the computer and then everything is fine until I try to play a game and it freezes, then I have to reset again to get rid of the Explorer and live mail crashing?

  Bravo for your buddy for help. It seems that everything was linked to my cpu overclocked! I unclocked it and played every game in sucsession with no drama. I then lowered the 200 mhz overclock, and once againg played two games without drama. I have the clock my BE 555 to 3.8 with 4 cores unlocked for over a year and had no probs with XP.   I have to agree, update the video drivers is probly the answer, however do it from the manufacturer's website and not windows. Uninstall and remove drivers, then restart and manufacturers to download to your verision of windows 7 (x 86 or x 64)

  PS. you don't have to worry about uninstalling and removing the drivers, when you restart it will be a most vile driver that windows will use so that you can see the video, even if it will proly be huge and Boret and maybe not in all the colors you are used to seeing, this will set after you have installed the appropriate drivers.

  Hi I formatted my laptop Toshiba A200 Satellite with Windows VISTA Home & finding it very difficult to find the correct drivers.
  I phoned the helpline and was the tool to download the "Toshiba Service Station" program that will automatically detect the drivers & update the missing drivers.
  I installed it and it did not detect the missing drivers.
  In Device Manager it lists,

  • Standard VGA graphics card
  • Ethernet controller
  • Mass storage controller
  • Video controller

  Need drivers, help or advice is greatly appreciated.

  Satellite A200/QH0 PSAF3A-0QH01N has been published in Australia, but unfortunately, I could not find the drivers for the old A200 series on Australian pilot site...
  But the A200 series came out in Europe too.

  The drivers for the pieces of equipment must be compatible, even if the model number is different.

  So I recommend you visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver to get the drivers for the A200 series
