  I had to reinstall the operating system on laptop Satellite P10-304 PSP10E ORCJM-EN, but I do not have the drivers for the hardware. I can't find the drivers for the "multimedia audio controller" on the Toshiba site:

  I guess what you're missing is driver sound.
  Please also check document Setup Instructions and install all the stuff after this installation order. It is very important.

  1. Please connect to the BIOS by pressing F10. Disable Intel Smart Sound (ISST) in BIOS

  2 uninstall the Audio drivers from the Device Manager, then restart the computer.

  3 reinstall the Audio drivers once more.

  You can find the drivers of sound and modem. Install the audio driver at first.

  Hi, I'e read this forum and tried to install audio drivers time and time again, I also tried to install the chipset drivers but the message that I get up is

  "' the chipset intel... requires a platform chipsets supported running on a supported operating system.

  I'm running XP2 but this laptop was 2nd hand and did not get the portable computers drivers disk or XP so I can't reformat and start from scratch.

  If you visit the Toshiba download page you will find all the drivers for your A30 and it shouldn't be a problem with the installation. Please do not forget that you do it in the right order.

  Don't panic.  As long as you know the manufacturer of the computer as a whole and the model (ex: Dell, Inspiron _ HP Pavilion, etc.)-probably, you can visit the web site of the manufacturer (Dell, HP, Lenovo, gateway, etc.) and find their support and/or downloads and drivers section and find the downloads, they are available for your system model and download / install the drivers for the devices.

  -You can download and install that drivers live OEM - as long as you know who did say components.

  Yes you can. You have two choices... you can tell us the brand and model of your computer so that we can help you get the correct driver or you can visit the website of the manufacturer of your computer to find and download the latest drivers from device to your system.

  I noticed that you don't have to update your system with the latest service pack. I would say that while you're there, you must download and install Windows XP SP3 for better security for your system from the link provided below.

  Ignore the warning about network facilities and professionals of computer and when its been install, visit windows update to get the latest updates and security patches.

  I convinced a friend buy a Latitude D600 used laptop with a version french Windows on it, I told him I could install a new Windows English about it as I did but after reformatting the drive drivers for the card sound (and other devices) have disappeared. In the Manager of devices under other devices there are 6 yellow exclamation/points mark next to the following:

  O2Micro SmartCardBus_Reader

  Modem PCI

  Video controller (VGA Compatible)

  I downloaded the drivers from the dell support site, but impossible to reinstall via Manager devices/Reinstall driver... I have burned the drivers on a cd and also copied their drive but when even her are not recognized.
