Compaq Mini 110 c-1103SO: need drivers for network cards after upgrade to Win 8.1

Woman's cell phone upgraded from XP to Win 8 Pro.  All set up, all the upgrades installed etc. disappeared.  Everything was fine, even got most of its programs to operate correctly and not had any problem with the internet.  Then fed Microsoft forces the OS update to 8.1 (PRO) and she lost contact to the internet.

No other device have problems with our home WLAN, regardless if they are connected by a wireless router or cable.  The newly improved PC connects to the router, wired and wireless, but the connection is 'limited' and gives no net access.  Even when you try a portable WiFi connection with a Tablet, the connection remains limited.

Contacted support technique microsoft: they claim 8.1 kernel is so different from 8.0 that the drivers on the PC no longer compatible (even if winning 8.1 was happy enough to re - install while improving...).  They also claim to be unaware that it even all compatible drivers are available for the cards we have.  This is their desire to 'help' ended and they told me to contact the manufacturer of the PC for those compatible.

Network cards are: Broadcom 802.11 g network card and Qualcomm Atheros AR8132 PCI - E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30).

What are the specifications for the drivers, I need and where can I get them?  Given that the affected device has no internet connection, I obviously need to download the drivers to another PC and transfer them using a memory stick.

Grateful for the help earlier - wife is not very happy...

You are the very welcome.

Glad you were able to solve the problem by upgrading the equipment.

    Pls help!

I installed a valid copy of win xp on a presario Series 6000 (6035CL) and I have not all the restore CD and others.

Everything works most of the time except the NETWORK card.

I searched high and low for drivers NETWORK card including the Software and Driver Downloads section

This is the page for my model and notice how it doesn't have network drivers

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareCategory?LC=en&DLC=en&CC=US&OS=228&Product=94117&sw_lang= &

I also tried many other flavors of drivers and nothing work for the moment.

Can someone point me in the right direction for the appropriate NETWORK adapter drivers?

    Thank you!

    You are the very welcome.

You need these drivers for the remaining devices...

    Ethernet controller:

This package contains the Realtek driver local area network (LAN) that allows the NIC (NIC) Realtek chip in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported.

    File name: sp56680.exe

    PCI device:

This package contains the driver that allows the Realtek card reader in laptop models running a supported operating system. The card reader allows users to read or write to removable storage cards supported, which are typically used in digital cameras, digital music players and cell phones.

    File name: sp64801.exe

Don't forget to install the graphics driver.  That rarely comes as a missing device, but if you see a standard vga adapter that is listed under the category of display device manager cards, this means that you need to install the graphics driver.

This package provides the AMD graphics driver high definition (HD) and Catalyst Control Center for models of laptop computers that are running an operating system supported. For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package contains the drivers for the two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp58617.exe

    Hi, Jorge:

The HP business support site is down right now, so I can't seem to all pilots.

The Bus high definition audio is the audio system integrated Intel Display.

Has your model only the integrated graphics card Intel?

    If so, try this driver.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/20613/Intel-graphics-driver-for-Windows-XP-64-exe-

Ethernet: A first on the list...

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/18719/network-adapter-drivers-for-Windows-Server-2003-final-release

The other two I can't now until support Business site back to the top.

But if you can get to it before I do, you must install the AMT SOL driver that will install two devices.

I just need to find the XP driver for this variation.  I think the Office HP 8100 Elite version will work if your model does not have XP drivers on the support page.

    > P.S. I found odd when installing Realtek program, because what other 2 folders with 'vista' is ' vista x 64 "and the program installed its files in c:\program files (x 86)".

What do you mean with this (x 86)? Have you installed the drivers from the Vista x 64 folder or both, or quite the installer?

  • Win98 problems - need drivers for ethernet card

I recently installed Win98 on one of my computers that was built to Win XP or higher, and it doesn't have the correct drivers for the Ethernet card on my computer so I can't connect to the internet on this subject. Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Hello Taylor Lindemann,

Although Windows 98 is no longer a supported operating system, you can download the drivers from the manufacturer.

My recommendation would be to reinstall an operating system on the computer.

  • need driver for network card

I need the network card driver for my desktop sff EVO 510 with XP pro, Ive tried the HP/Compaq downloads and none of these work

    Ok

First of all, the reference of the material for your PC manual does not display on page 8 network connections (even if there are drivers available).

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c00706603/c00706603.PDF

So I guess than some models had delivered with network cards and some did not and maybe yours was the one who did not and that a NIC has been added later? In addition, all of the drivers listed are for models Gigabit (1000 Mbps) while yours seems to be only 100Mbs.

Can you confirm that the network connection is not part of the plate of e/s of the motherboard, but actually a supplement to the map.

This link has drivers Intel Pro/100 VE...

    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/18717/eng/PROWin32.exe&lang=eng&Dwnldid=18717&ProductID=407&ProductFamily=Network+Connectivity&ProductLine=Intel%c2%ae+Desktop+Adapters&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+PRO%2f100+VE+Desktop+Adapter

I suggest using Control Panel-Add/Remove programs to remove all previous installations before installing from the link to Intel.

    Hello

I think that the laptop must support the audio chip high-definition Intel HDA (Azalia) ADI AD1986A.

Check Intel page for the compatible driver or you would use the audio driver for the * series Satellite L40 PSL40E * or * series Equium L40 PSL41E *.

    If someone could help... thanx

    Hello!

Do you mean the LAN or WLAN card?
The device is listed in the device with the yellow exclamation point Manager? And what OS are you using?

What exactly happens if you try to install the driver?

Just a question: why you n t use the Toshiba Recovery disk? There are already all the drivers installed and after that the laptop is ready for use. :)
