  • Stuck on blue HP Invent screen and not loading Windows not items on the desktop after you done a system recovery

Hello, this is my first time posting here, because I'm in desperate mode!  I have a HP Pavilion Slimline s5304y using Windows 7, desktop pc that I bought in February 2010.

After getting a virus on my computer, I ordered system of HP recovery disks, and made to factory settings recovery process (twice!), however, during the Windows install process, it never cross the blue HP Invent screen that says:

-Do not turn off your PC during this unique installation process

-Your PC will restart several times during the installation process

-Messages may appear on your screen. Ignore these messages until you are prompted to restart or shut down your PC

To the bottom of the screen, it keeps saying "Please wait...". "with a green scroll bar. What I see is the buttom to start at the bottom left corner but I am not able to access anything whatsoever and I never get my desktop screen or the desktop icons. I restarted and closed several times, and as soon as I log on windows, I just get the same blue screen.

The 2nd time I did the recovery process, I let him continue overnight (just in case I was not waiting long enough) and my computer never stop as it was supposed to when the installation is complete.  In addition, the whole process, I looked the first time around and my computer never restarted as he said he was supposed to; It seems to just be stuck for the rest of the installation procedure for windows.  There finally comes to switch to "standby" mode.

I have nothing plugged on the other except the power cord, monitor, and keyboard/mouse.  I have not installed new hardware since I bought the computer.

I did a test of diagnosis and everything going on.

I tried to get help from HP Support, but because I am out of the warranty period, they cannot help me and want to charge me $99!

I don't know what else to do at this point. Can someone please?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Assuming that maybe that's a problem with the recovery discs, it is a simple work-around if you have (or can borrow) an installation disc Windows 7 at retail which is exactly the same version as your OEM installation - IE if your PC comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, it comes to the exact retail version that you would need.

If you do not access to the retail drives, you can create an installation disk yourself - just download good picture disc from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/Download-Windows-7-ISO-official-32-bit-and-64-bit-direct-download-link...

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the sticker COST on your PC on demand, and when the installation is complete, use the 'method of phone", described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want just a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally delivered with OEM installations.

Additional drivers, you may need can be found here.

  • Compaq presario sr5518f: computer stuck on boot logo screen

I just put in a 2nd inside the hard drive and now it gets stuck on boot logo screen I have disable reboot it 1 - 2 times before the beginning of the right way, any help would be great

    Hello @njchuck76,

I understand that your desktop computer is stuck on boot logo screen after the installation of a secondary hard drive, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

To make sure that your system is booting of the operating system drive, I recommend that you follow the steps described in this document on the configuration of the Boot in the BIOS system order.

If your computer is still not able to boot into Windows after making sure the boot order is appropriate, I suggest following this resource on the computer does not (Windows 8). This should help with running hardware diagnostics.

If the problem persists after you complete all the steps listed above, please call our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number.

  • Pavilion a6542 - no boot, freeze on blue HP Invent screen

I need help... My Pavilion a6542 does not start. It gets stuck on the blue HP Invent screen. The Bios menu is not accessible (F9, F10, F11 keys don't work), even if the keyboard lights are turned on.

    Features:

It was working fine yesterday, and it does not work anymore. I did not any recent installation or HW SW.

The PC is only 2 years old.

    Motherboard is Asus IPIBL-LB (Benicia).

I took the steps - following troubleshooting unsuccessfully:

    I tried another keyboard.

I tried to boot from a bootable CD (I tried Fedora Live CD and Ultimate Boot CD), but it does not start.

I reinstalled the cables on the motherboard, I reinstalled 4 memory cards, I reinstalled the HARD drive connectors.

There is no dust or burned capacitors on the motherboard.

==> Someone can help me diagnose the problem and find the solution? Thank you!

I could see that your troubleshooting resulted in a conclusion that your HARD drive is defective, which confirmed my suspicions.

You can replace your HARD drive and try to enjoy many services for Hard Drive Data Recovery. First try the manufacturer

    of your HARD drive.

  • iPhone 4, iOS 7, stuck on the Hello screen

I have an iPhone 3gs, iOS 4, which I backed up in iTunes.

I also have an iPhone 4, iOS 7, on which I erased all the data. If I have that connect to iTunes and select file > devices > restore from a backup and then choose backup iPhone 3G, iTunes goes through the process of restoring this backup of the iPhone 4.

As the end of the iPhone 4 displays white screen of "Hello". I slip through, select language, select location, enter the details of the Wifi and then... the display shows the choice of setting up as a new iPhone, iCloud restore backup or restore from a backup iTunes.

I tried selecting 'Restore iTunes backup' which shows the black screen of 'Connected to iTunes', then in iTunes, I can choose the backup iPhone 3G and iTunes goes to restore that backup on the iPhone 4, yet once... and then we are back to the white screen of "Hello". I've been through this process at least half a dozen times now, and have yet to get a phone restored and functional.

I tried to completely reinstall the OS of the iPhone 4 before restoring the backup. I tried to turn the iPhone 4 and turn it on again. Any other ideas?

The solution seems to be to select "set up as new iPhone." All contacts and settings etc were synchronized. Weird.

  • Satellite T130 - stuck on the loading screen - new hard drive required

After a message on the screen saying back up your hard drive, it will fail quickly and pressing F1 it seems so stuck on the loading screen. I'm not too good with computers. I just have to buy a new hard drive to get the laptop working again, or is much more complicated than that. My guess is this one.

Thanks in advance for any help provided

The first question is: did you create recovery media (USB key)?
If do not do this if for a long time your HARD drive works OK. original recovery image is saved on the HARD drive, but you must have it USB backup that you can use to install if the disk needs to be replaced.
Do it as soon as possible. More info on what you can read in s operating manuals.

What to do with the HARD drive? In my opinion if long as it works it has no reason to panic. Use your laptop as usual. If you notice some performance or more error messages problems I think that you should replace it.

Replacing the HARD drive doesn't have to be so problematic. HARD drive cover must be placed in the lower corner of your laptop. The smallest is RAM and cotyledon should be for the HARD drive. Check it out.

Before do you that this is remove the battery and unplug your computer laptop AC adapter / CC.

If you have no experience with such things please don't made some risky step. You can damage something.

  • Envy 15: Stuck on the HP screen

Good so recently I accidentally leave my laptop ran out of battery. I've loaded and started upward and it's gone through an update of windows then stuck on the loading screen HP during auto restart during this process. All I see is black HP logo and the white dots circling below until after a few seconds the HP logo becomes, but the indirect approach points continue.

I did a hard reset but it changed nothing. I also ran each test system, it won't let me in the menu diagnosis and has passed everyone, including 2 extensive system testing.

Whereas this problem is usually either a broken hard drive or fixed with a hard reset I am at a loss for what to try next. It's a HP Envy 15 with Windows 10 - 64 bit.

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, use another PC to create a bootable Windows 10 DVD or a USB Flash drive via the following link.  Under the section "Imperative to create a cable USB, DVD or ISO", download the media creation tool.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/Windows10

Once you have it, run the tool, select 'Create the installation media for another PC', then select the language edition of Windows 10 and 64-bit.

Follow the rest of the guests to create this and then click on finish when done.

Insert the Installation of Windows 10 support and stop the laptop by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

Click next to the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Boot Menu, and then select the Boot Options Menu ( f9 ).

Use the arrow keys to highlight the CDROM (uefi) or USB Flash Driver (uefi) option, according to the type of media you created, then press on enter – if you are prompted to "Press any key to continue...". "- make.

Start on the Menu of Boot Options Advanced - see Option 5 on the link below for more information on access to this.

    http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanced-startup-options-boot-Windows-10-a.html#Option5

Then try to run the Windows system restore to return the laptop to a point in time before this problem occurred - see Option 1 on the link below for more information on this procedure.

The app was windowed with yellow red and green buttons at the top left as a normal window. Every since I went full screen I can't get it back. I tried to go through the application options to deselect full screen mode, but no options are available. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall using three different methods, the uninstall application provided with the software, manually and through "Appcleaner. Whenever the redownloads application and opens full screen again. This seems very strange because demand seems to be recognized as a window in OSx but also makes the dock and disappear from the top menu bar. El Capitan also doesn't let me choose this application to the separation of the screen. I have attached the Images. Is there a way I can uninstall it COMPLETELY? Or another way to prevent this?

If you have important files smth on your hard drive, you can use Windows live cd to move them to a usb drive.
By the way, have you tried to enter safe mode?
