Compaq nx6325 Finger Print Reader

I have a Compaq nx6325 running Windows Vista Business 32-bit and I was trying to get the AuthenTec Inc. AES2501A fingerpint drive to work. I installed the minimum installation of the HP driver page and I was wondering how I could then open a session with my fingerprints? I have to install any additional software?

Yes, you should also install all the files in the 'Security' section on this page to download:

http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdHome/?sp4ts.oid=1849083&spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3DswEnvOID%253D2097%257CswLang%253D%257Caction%253DlistDriver&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken#Driver - Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices

You need only the latest versions of each different program. So far, you have only installed the device driver and no fingerprint access software.

There is a required for installation of these order. Start with the "Security Manager".

  • Finger print reader does not work after upgrade to Windows 8 Pro - DM4 2055BR

I updated my previous Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro Edition and the Finger Print Reader no longer works. Validity software driver is already installed more simple pass, but when I run the Easy Pass it pops up the message "the drive is not connected, connect the drive.

I noticed one lot of other posts related to the same issue, but I don't know if the model of my laptop does not support the new version of the operating system.

I appreciate if someone could help me with this problem.

    Dulao35,

    Welcome to the HP Forum!

When start you / see: Easy going on?

You may be running HP SimplePass Version 8.0.0.57 or some other SimplePass 8.x?

    ======================================================================================

You can run HP SimplePass Version 6.x later on your computer.  You may also be able to get SimplePass version 8.x if you want to stay with this version to work.  It's a personal choice, really - either version should be able to work on Windows 8 Pro.

Note that the version 8.x SimplePass seems to dislike everyone, but the Internet Explorer browser. This is a personal observation and NOT what can known by other users.  If you use IE, then the point is moot.

You can probably keep your existing driver of the fingerprint (Validity Sensor in the Device Manager) as long you run the version compatible with Windows 8, illustrated to the webpage of your computer driver:

HP Pavilion dm4-2055br Entertainment Notebook PC Drivers

See below for a method that you can use to upgrade HP SimplePass:

The bits on SimplePass version 8.x are towards the bottom of the file.

  • Finger print reader does not connect for Win7 Logon Screen

    Win7 Ultimate 64 bit

    5.9.4 fingerprint software

Biometric accepted link to windows Logon

    Client Domain Server MS

At the start of the system, the logon screen appears and the fingerprints light is 'on '. I scan my finger, the light blinks once and no presentation of the Windows password in the logon window. I have to enter password.

Lenovo support asked me to uninstall software, of the clear BIOS saved digital fingerprints then re - install (and re-record). I did it twice without any change.

It worked until I had to break the connection of field (server change) and re log on to the domain with the same opening of session and password. It was at this time that the finger print reader stopped passing the biometric password to the BONE.

Any thoughts on how to re - connect the reader to open a session?

If you enter the control panel and search for "biometric" you should have an option to 'change the biometric parameters '. If you click this option, you should have a checkbox indicating "Allow users to log on to a domain by using their fingerprints", make sure that having checked if you want to connect with a domain account using your fingerprint. When remove you / add the computer to a domain, so I believe that this option will be restored back to being disabled must be re-activated.

This is a forum for peer-to-peer and this product is not compatible with Windows 7 - so - don't.  Microsoft is not what you need.  Should have read the list of compatibility (operating systems) probably printed on the box.

I tried to download the drivers again, but he did nothing.  I am running Windows Vista and update as soon as I can. Anyone know if this could be a problem?  I'm not hard with my laptop, so I don't think that it is because something fell out of place, but I don't know, because I don't know how to open upwards and don't want. I had the extended the warranty, so I just need to send it in, but I use my computer every day and don't really want to part with it as long. Thanks for any help.

Check Device Manager, check the personal identification device driver, see if the driver works correctly.

If it was a software problem, uninstall the current driver and try one of your support page.

  • DV6 Finger Print Reader unrecognized or does work not

After restoring my laptop (Pavilion dv6-6121tx) a few days ago, I decided to get the most recent drivers.
I stopped to do, I upgraded HP Simple upgrade to version 6.0 (this version was not listed in the drivers for my laptop, I found it on the AuthenTec Web site).
Surprisingly, he did not detect my fingerprint reader.
so I decided to uninstall it and install the 5.3 version (this version is listed in the drivers for my laptop on the HP website)

and even once it does not recognize my device.
so I uninstall this version and went back to the old version 4.3 and still the problem was not solved.
Finally, I uninstalled HP Simple Pass and validity sensor driver. and reinstalled using the typical recovery manager "reinstall drivers and applications.
    It still does not work!

Whenever I uninstalled it a version, I deleted my identity with him.
and my fingerprint reader does not even appear in the Device Manager. However, it is an unknown device listed, but I'm not sure if its my finger print reader.

Ask for any other information you need...
    even ready for assistance remotely.
any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Finally, it solved my self...
Remove data from print finger, uninstalled the driver both col simple, rebooted my computer laptop and then installed the driver... reboot again, installed Simple pass... and viola! its been...
BTW use validity sensors version 4.3.304 and HP Simple Pass 6.0.100.252

they are much more better that my old drivers... and do not appear in the list of drivers for my laptop on HP.com!

  • Portege R700 Finger Print Reader suddenly not recognized OS

    Hello

I've been looking for a solution

My R700 on Win7 worked perfectly using the finger print scanner. At any given time without cause the
hardware (fingerprint reader to log on) was not recognized by the operating system more.

-J' tried to remove the software, reinstalled driver
-updated it and so on resulting material was not found.
-J' even deleted all the entries in the register - no go.

-Finger Print genuine software starts, but only to give an error that the FP-reader is not present.

Is there a way to remove the fingerprint stored manually by removing the manually.

The equipment works according to the support. (The machine has been send)
However I don't want to re-setup of the entire machine (it is a work laptop) just to make it work?

Intro step by step to achieve this or advice?

I couldn't find a description on how to manually remove fingerprints (cause I suspect this is the problem) from the software to do this does not start.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Best regards
    Julian

If you do not see material unresolved fingerprints or devices in Device Manager, then the device is either disabled in the BIOS or the fingerprint sensor is defective or too loose or there is a spill of liquid causing corrosion.

  • Satellite A100-756 has finger print reader and remote control?

My notebook there finger print id? The manual says it's but I can't and also it is supposed to be a remote with it but I've not seen a.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm sure that the textbooks said that these options are available on some models. If your laptop was original packed in and you have not found remote in the box of the situation is clearer: remote is not available for your model.

In any case, I found info on the remote control to A100-756 and there is advice: remote controller not available.

  • HP ENVY 17-j005tx Notebook Finger print reader questions

    Hi all

Already a few weeks or so, my fingerprint reading begins to play up - when I start the laptop, it seems do us somehing to the connection and logon fails permanently - when I try to open a session keyboard always fingerprint reader sends something and can not connect - it just cause connection to fail over and over in a loop.  I can just manage to turn off the laptop by clicking on the button turn off and select the off option.

I found a reason if I hit F10 to enter the BIOS setup, e and exit, reboot all goes well.  Then I can use the fingerprint reader to log in again. Then a few weeks can go and the same thing!

What gives?  Someone at - it suggestions? Is this a bug of material or something - it is possible to disable the fingerprint reader so that if in the future he sticks completely upward, I would at least have the ability to disable.

  • The sensor validity finger print reader and windows 7

I recently installed windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit on my dv4t-1300cto. Everything is great except for the fingerprint reader is not working. It appears in the device as manager being installed correctly, but windows and digital persona say its not connected. I tried a few reinstall software and drivers, but nothing helped. And when I look for software, the results are quite rare. HP tries to convince me that I'm using a beta version software and support will appear soon, but is not a copy of version beta what whatsoever. Everybody do what ive made and it sorted?

    the drive model is Vfs201.

Where should I go from here?

    • Under biometric devices, look for the device (called Validity Sensor sensor AuthenTec)

  • ENVY dv7-7201sa Finger Print Reader does not work

The fingerprint reader has stopped working. Before, I thought I had genuine driver installed, now there is driver driver. Not sure how it happened.

I uninstalled the driver drivers and pass SImple, but the single pass software download link is no longer available, what are the correct drivers, and where are they

    Thank you

    Tony,

If you tell the AuthenTec link for the 6.0.100.620 old version of HP SimplePass, it is probably closed.  AuthenTec has been picked up by Apple last year, and they are «not more»  The drivers are still in the area - the name depends on the original software / driver source code.

    For Windows 8:

Your valid driver - download and install not yet:

Instructions for installing the driver and HP SimplePass later that works on Windows 7 or Windows 8 are in the following file.
