Compaq presario cq5320f video card update

Can someone tell me what are the choices that I have to update my video card on this machine without changing the power supply? Enter the game on PC more. Thank you!

There is really no quality maps of game on the market for your computer's power supply. 250 watt power supply is too low for this kind of maps and will need to be replaced if you want use more add-in PCIe x 16 graphics cards.

If you put beside the video card laptop I think that you see that there is no way to put it there. The video card is almost as large as the laptop. We receive a few tons of these posts here these days. But the answer has not changed. There is no upgrade for your video that is remotely possible in this life on this planet. Cannot be done, no cases in any way. The video is a chip that is soldered to the motherboard with the set traces to work only with this specific chip. Even the best ubertech with mad fine welding skills could not do anything else's work. When you buy a laptop get the graph and the processor you want and need for now and the future. If you need something better it means a new laptop not a level 98% of the time. When you buy a game controls the minimum requirements and see if your computer can meet.

Sorry if I sound a little harsh but as I said we get 2 or 3 of these questions every day and I blame the computer manufacturers (HP, for example) and retailers such as Best Buy for not educating the public about what they are buying.

  • For what power factor fits in my Compaq Presario CQ5320F?

I'm running a Compaq Presario CQ5320F with Windows 7. I want to put in a bigger GPU I installed now (A AMD Radeon HD 5450 Low Profile), so I have to replace my old a new supply. Power factor suitable for what to do?

Here are the specifications of your Compaq Presario CQ5320F desktop computer. The power supply is a standard ATX PSU. The Corsair CX500 and CX600 are only slightly larger than the power supply HP stock and are known to adapt without problems. In addition, the CX500 and CX600 are highly recommended and favorite forum.

  • Compaq Presario 2034NX. N power supply video card update

I have a Compaq Presario 2034NX and want to get an upgrade of the installed video card (for a HDMI output, etc.).  I know that I have to spend my diet as well, for new power requirements.

I am interested in (after-sales) part 3 parts, not "genuine HP/Compaq", to save costs on this box of 7 year and longer.

    (A) what version of PCI-Express is the slot on the MBoard?

    (B) what form of power factor should be purchased for?  ATX?  12V?

    (C) is there a special condition of type MOE for video work in Compaq Presario PCI-Express slot card, or will more 3rd party (after-sales) cards work?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Is the Compaq Presario PC?  If Yes, then put a standard size ATX power supply will work as well as several video cards PCI-E x 16.

Most of NVIDIA video cards require a minimum of a 300 Watt power supply.  Most of ATI video cards require a power supply of + 400 watt mimium.

1 HP didn't post the version of PCI-E slot, but I suspect 1.x. It should support most of the cards PCI-E 2.0 with a few exceptions.

    2. a stand size ATX power supply will fit (5.5x3.4x5.9).

    3. the video card chosen must be associated with a power supply to support its power requirements.

How much budget do you see for the video card and the power suppy.  You have special requirements of video connection? (HDMI, DVI, VGA)  What applications are you planning to use with the new video card?

Open your PC and a few measurement in parallel with the PCI-E x 16 slot to see how long of a video card will fit. The adjacent slot on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant if a larger video card is being considered. Look at the motherboard, and ensures that the components on the motherboard will not interfere with the installation of the video card.

    Hello:

You must manually install the driver Windows XP to get the graphics to work.

You will not have Windows Aero because the Intel graphics card that has your laptop does not support Aero.

Download and run this driver.  Conclusion of any windows error that can occur.

This contains the Windows XP driver for the Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics controllers in the listed notebook models.

    File name: sp28484.exe

Go to Device Manager and click on the video controller needing drivers.  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select travel it my computer for the software driver and then at the bottom of this list option, click Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.

  • Compaq Presario SR5518F graphics card drivers

I'll be upgrading the graphics card on my Compaq Presario SR5518F (already made sure the card I got was compatiable).

Before I come and do something for the card, I have to ask you a few questions.

1.) should I uninstall the graphics card drivers

2.) should I uninstall the card in general

(3.) when I get the graphics card installed, is it safe to install the drivers in safe mode or normal mode?

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello:

Yes, before you install the new video card, you should go to Device Manager, click to expand the display of the maps, right-click in the graphics section and select uninstall.

Depending on the operating system that you are running, if there is a driver uninstall box to check, check this box.

Instead of restarting the PC, simply close it down, unplug it, install your new video card and you should be all set, and as Eric posted, you install the new drivers in Windows 'normal' mode

If you lose your integrated audio system (you can according to the model) If your new video card has an HDMI output port, you will need to go into BIOS, find the onboard audio setting.

It will be either automatic or off value.

Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out.

After reboot and return to windows, you should have the on-board audio back.

  • Compaq Presario SR1214NX desktop PC: update BIOS for SATA HDD?

    Hi CV Experts.

In 2004, I bought a HP Compaq Presario SR1214NX desktop PC. Now, leave the original hard drive and I bought a new Seagate 500 GB SATA hard drive. I thought that this would work because the PC MoBo has two SATA connectors. After installation, I noticed the drive is not detected. I checked the BIOS but not hard listed. The installed BIOS is "BIOS Award BIOS Core Version 6.0 revision 3.10 26/07/2004.» What can I do? Is there a BIOS update available?

    Help, please!

Do more research on this issue, I think that this motherboard may not have native support SATA. You can use ports SATA via Windows after you have installed the necessary drivers. I suggest that you add a primary as hard drive IDE PATA drive and load Windows. Post windows installation, install the necessary SATA drivers and plug the secondary drive SATA for use as a hard disk.

I'm sorry for all of the early confused communications.

  • Satellite L30 - question video card update

    Hey guys!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L30-113 and I am very happy with the way it looks and works. I managed to update the 3 GB RAM, the processor is in a pretty good shape, although it is only 1.7 GHz.

Now, my only problem is that the video card, the laptop is equipped with (ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 M) is quite low. You have an idea on which other (preferably better) video cards is compatible with the Satellite L30 - 113 default installation?

    Thank you!

Speaking of GPU Generly cannot be upgraded on laptops. Due to the specific design and cooling with limited cooling performance, it cannot be done.

  • Pavilion 9220y video card update

    Hello
I was hoping that an expert can help me upgrade/configure a new video card for a desktop HP Pavilion Elite 9220y.

I have done the research to shed light on the issue, but would REALLY appreciate some help!

So just that the machine has now integrated ATI Radeon HD 4350 - that it comes with, who I am is of course very well for the casual user, but I want a massive update to play new games.  Unfortunately, I'm stuck with this computer, so I can't build a new machine custom, so I just want to update my video card today... the rest of the system works very well if.

    My questions are:

    • Can I upgrade the video card on this specific computer HP Pavillion 9220y?
    • I read that I can replace the card using the PCIex16 slot? but is this slot PCI-E 1.0 or 2.0?  I could not find in the sheets...
    • If so, what kind of cards are compatible with it and are good for games?
    • I buy a power supply additionanl to run the additional power demand?  If so, what is a good thing that will work for the 9220y? http://www.Newegg.com/store/subcategory.aspx?subcategory=58&name=power-supplies

It's just a lot to wrap around my head and I want to make sure I go about it the right way, before you update or buy anything!
Again, any help would be appreciated more
    Steve

    Hi Steve,.

    1. Yes, you can install a video card in your PC.

    2. the discrete graphics card will move into the slot PCI-E x 16.  HP is not posting slot PCI-E card, but a video designed to the 2.0 PCI card will normally be backward compatible with the PCI 1.x ports.

3 game cards have different levels of performance and your choice will depend on the game being used and set of parameters. Check out forum and the game manufacturer's web site and see what others are using.

    4. more decent video cards will require a bigger power supply.  The p9220y has only a 300 Watt power supply.

Here are the specifications of the motherboardfor the p9220y. Since most of the better video cards are wider than normal single slot card, then adjacent locations on the PCI-E x 16 slot must be vacant.

I make a few suggestions, but I'm really in the dark about your playing conditions.

TheCorsair CX600should have enough power for most video cards.

TheNVIDIA GTX 550 TIshould have enough power for most video games with the higher settings. Screen resolution is a factor of performance.

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready
    7. Efficiency rating
    8. Cost
    9. The physical size - standard ATX PSU is 5.5 "by 5.9" by 3.4 "give or take a few tenths
    10. Only one + 12 volt rail is a better choice.

www.Newegg.com has many choices of power supplies.  Corsair, OCZ, Rosewill, Thermaltake...

Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

How to replace a power supply.

How to replace a video card.

I have a Compaq Presario SR5414UK now and you want to add a nVidia Geforce 8800GTS which me curreently running on the integrated graphics card. You can virtually none of the PENRYN 45nm lithography processors put in it, the optimal processor, you can upgrade is the Intel core 2 duo t9500. I have the same laptop and I have the next step down from what is the Intel core 2 duo processor t9300. There is no complete list of the processors that it will support the lists that you will find are incomplete at best even Intel does not update their information. Go to intel.com and search PENRYN in a search more people you can use, you need to compare to ensure that.

  • HP 625 video card update

    Hello

I would like to know if I can update/change my video card on my HP 625 model

    Hello:

    N °

The video chip is part of the motherboard and the entire motherboard must be replaced by another which has better graphics (if any).

The attendant costs for doing such a thing would exceed the cost of buying a new laptop with the desired video solution.

  • Aspire the XC-605 video card update

    Hi all

I recently bought an Aspire XC-605 and I need help, so I hope you guys can help out me. It comes with an integrated only video card. I wanted to update the graphs so I bought a card Asus HD 6450 Silent PCIe. I installed the card and booted the computer and nothing appears on the screen any card (Asus or integrated) I plug the HDMI cable.

Do not know how to proceed at this point. I went into the BIOS to see if I could disable the onboard graphics, but there is no other choice. I think that maybe it's a power issue? I don't know anything about power supplies, but certainly one that comes with the system is not standard size.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi pchandra

The video card you have is a low power card - it needs about 75 watts and draws its power from the PCIe slot, so your XC-605 feeding should be enough.

There may be a problem with the graphics card. I suggest to try the card in another PC to rule out a problem with it. If it does not work in the second PC, the card will be replaced.

If there is no setting in the BIOS, it adjusts automatically, usually the output, so if you insert a card, it will default to it. Similarly, if you delete it, it should default to the integrated graphics card.

Try the card in another PC and let us know how you get on...
