I have a Belkin F9L1101v2. He used to work, but recently he has not worked at all. I am able to connect to the wifi, but I get no internet access. Convenience store, said "the link between your access point, router, or modem cable, and the internet is broken." I worked for hours trying to solve this problem, but nothing really seems to work. Would be very happy for any help!
1. how you connect to the Internet to ask your question?
2. the Belkin F9L1101 does not connect to the Internet. It connects via WiFi to your router or wireless access point. What means the error message. What is the brand and model of your access point wireless, router or wireless gateway? If you have another cable or DSL modem, what is the make and model of this device as well?
3. on the other hand, the error message may be wrong. How do you know that you can "connect to wifi?
Is the light on the F9L1101, flashing, or disable?
Open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press enter). All entries show a caution icon? If so, which?
Follow these steps:
- Open a command prompt window (type cmd in the search box and press enter)
- In the black Promt command window, type the following command and press ENTER after each line:
ipconfig/all > "% userprofile%\Desktop\ipinfo.txt".
Notepad '% userprofile%\Desktop\ipinfo.txt '.
- Copy and paste the contents of the ipinfo.txt file into your next reply here. If you use another computer to post your questions, use a USB flash drive to get the file from the desktop of your computer problem to the computer you use to access the Internet
I connect to the web from my PC using the USB wireless adapter.
I got a USB wireless adapter, 3Com® OfficeConnect® model product # 3CRUSB10075 Wireless 54 Mbps 11g Compact USB.
Adapter does not work after that the PC was upgraded to win 7
Victory cannot regonzie adapter, and I can't access the internet.
I tried to install the lates 126.96.36.199 driver version, version of the 188.8.131.52x utility - but are not lacking.
I have not checked on the 3com site any other version of the driver available, and no version to fit with win7 is available.
Seems I have to go back to XP or buy a new adapter :(
Anu do knows where to find the driver of fascination?
If they have a Vista driver, that should work, but if the adapter goes back to the days of XP and no further forward, you will probably need to get something more recent.

doc78 wrote: Kindle Touch
Hello doc78, I checked out the Kindle Touch and the show of specifications:
Wi - Built-in Fi:
Connect to Wi - Fi hotspots at home or on the go. Includes free access to Wi - Fi hotspots AT & T through the United States.
The specifications did not show the version of the wireless device. It could be the published versions to date, version A, B, G or N.
As you have found a new wireless router, I suggest to get the N version, since it is the most recent and sends and receives a greater distance and speed than the versions A, B and G.
The Kindle Touch maybe not the wireless version N device, but would still be retro-compatible with the version N router, but only at speeds of wireless Kindle Touch device.
Router purchase N version assure you that you have later, right now, for future updates wireless.

I am running Windows XP Professional.
I would also add that I just installed a belkin Play USB Adapter to make my PC wireless.
This seems to be disabled in the Windows wireless connection netwrok thingy.

I have an old, unused Dell Dimension 8200 desktop with professional MS Windows XP operating system. I am trying to connect wireless to the internet. At the suggestion of Dell, Dell, I bought a Netgear N150 Wireless USB Adapter Ondaaah 1100. When I try to install tp, I get a message that "this OS is not supported. Please install this software on Windows XP (SP2 or later). "So, my request!
You can get it here.
I recently got a laptop HD malfunction cause me to start my PC from 2004. I bought a Belkin N150 Wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet connectivity. During the installation, I do not get a "Wireless network connection" icon I am running Windows XP SP3. I installed the same USB adapter on a computer running Windows XP SP2 and it works fine. I plugged it in my desktop PC and it just doesn't work! Even with my router disconnected I should still be able to see other networks WiFi available in the range (I live in a community of apartment) as he worked on the other computer it elsewhere too. I double checked the drivers, reboot the cable modem, so that appropriate services were activated and still no dice. I have read forums and I'm almost at the point of paying MS for technical support services, but it's really just my last step before I shell out money for professional help. Notice to lovers? =)
Well, at this point, you should make an executive decision.
If you think that someone will take just guilt because it's comfortable, it is not going to happen.
If a new card that is known to work does not work, then you can try to re - install Windows.
One of the differences between computer enthusiasts and regular users is the availability of the material. I have a set of wireless router, network cards, etc. that are known to be good.
The components are used for the sole purpose of trying them temporarily on the troubled computers to rule out hardware problems.
My posts reflect my understanding and experience. It does not necessarily reflect the opinion or the vision of Microsoft, or anyone else.
OK, I'll do my best to explain what I'm trying to do, so that is:
I left my PC the original location in the living room where the internet has been implemented in my room where it is not set. I got a very long cable and it's that winds through my kitchen in the House of separator in the living room (I live in a basement suite). Now, I don't want to have to call the cable/internet company to come hang internet access in the room, I would use the wireless G USB adapter I bought.
Now, I would like to keep my router in the living room and not have a cable that runs through my house, but Wireless G USB adapter will allow me to do? I manage the router to the router itself, the IP address, so I need to add the MAC address of my PC to the list of allowed devices and wireless adapter should work?
I hope this makes sense and I hope someone can tell me if I have the right idea or not before I have to move things around .
You should have no problems with this set up. My neighbor the w/speed of usb wireless adapter boost to his desktop computer to connect to my router and had 2-3 bars of signal strength. And I also had a friend who lived in the street w/wireless usb adapter connected to his laptop, his NIC was not working and was able to connect with my router.
If I were you I would configure the router and adapter usb first before picking up the ethernet cable. Just make sure that you disable your LAN device in network settings for the network for Vista or XP, and the wireless device is detected and enabled and working properly. Good luck and hope this helps.
Was in the middle of the viewing of a site when it went offline. Reset router has not been set. Software can not see the router and adapter shows no light.
Is it possible to test this adapter?
What is the model number for the adapter?
You should try to uninstall and reinstall the adapter to do so follow the below mentioned steps.
Remove the Linksys adapter and uninstall the Linksys software menu programs... Re - install drivers insert the CD of Linksys install in your CD-ROM drive, when the welcome is displayed click on exit, connect your USB adapter now... When the Hardware Update Wizard window appears, click on install the software automatically (recommended) and then click Next... Click Finish when the installation is complete.
NOTE: The hardware installation screen may appear indicating that the adapter has failed the Windows Logo test. Ignore the window and click on continue to continue the installation because the adapter has been tested and it works with Windows XP. When Windows has finished installing the driver, click Finish.
Click Start and go to control panel and double-click on network connections. Right click on wireless network connection, and then select view available wireless networks "-If you see your network wireless in the list, the highlight by clicking 'single' on it now, click on the 'Connect' button below-if your wireless network is secured, it asks you to provide the network key - provide the wireless network key and confirm again in the confirmation box and click 'Connect'." It should work...
Why should I get driver USB adapter 802.11 wireless b/g if I do not use wireless controls? Looks like it would be easier for someone else to spy on your computer.
Then don't use it. Leave it or uninstall it...
