  • HP Ultraslim docking station: connection HP ultraslim docking station with 2 external monitors

Hi, I plan to donate a station host and two monitors to my husband so that he may set up a job at home for its HP Elitebook 840. I would be very grateful if someone can tell me if the HP Ultraslim to home station is compatible with monitors that I have chosen, the dell U2414H. its specifications are 2 connectors HDMI MHL, 1 mini dp 1 dp 1. 2 a, 1 dp MST, 4 USB 3.0 downstream ports and 1 upstream.

Could someone tell me if I can put in place two of them with the docking station HP Ultraslim, what is the compatibility and what extra cables or adapters, I will need to make them compatible.

    Thanks a ton.

Do you know what version of the HP Ultraslim Docking station you have?    There are a few specific changes with regard to the 2013 generation from the dock where the docking station has 2 DisplayPorts x instead of an earlier version that had a display port and a VGA.

If you have the later generation of 2013 docking station and 2 x DisplayPorts, these monitors should be fine.  And you should of course two displayport cables to use with monitors (screens could come with them, but very sure they do).

The 2013 model looks like this (2 ports to the right of the network socket):

    http://ECX.images-Amazon.com/images/I/61ZSGNoW0sL._SL1500_.jpg

Whereas the old model looks like this (one DisplayPort, next to the network socket):

If the monitors do not come with cables, I highly recommend Monoprice.com as your source for people or ALL wiring.   The link below is for 3 feet of long cables, but according to available to his office, you can cable of 6 to 10 feet.  Below is an example:

WARNING: I have seen several users posts on the forums here and outside hp directly complain that there are a number of questions using 2 monitors x DisplayPort, even with the 2013 version of the dock.  There is firmware available for the dock updates that help.    I wanted to just throw that out there because he's hit ' n Miss as to whether they work with multiple monitors, and because these screens have no VGA option, you cannot workaround to use VGA and DisplayPort (instead of 2 x DisplayPort) to make it work.

    -----

You are looking for under the heading supplies & accessories, it shows four products and says it is compatible.

Examining the E.B. Folio 1040 G1 list of approved accessories, it shows that three products but said that all are compatible.

Then there is the important question the products indicated as 'approved' do not show displayports how much they have.

You could take the cautious approach and say you want to buy the product that is on BOTH lists - B9C87AA - even if 1) there are apparently only a single displayport and 2) it is the highest price of the four products.  Is this not a great combination, less for more!

But if you really, really want to be absolutely sure that you get the good docking station for your laptop computer of two thousand dollars, maybe grit you your teeth and do it anyway.

When you go to the B9C87AA Web page

Years ago the army had an acronym that describes the situation like this: * UBAR.

Then what would you do for a docking station for your G1 EliteBook Folio 1040?

Caramel, thanks for the link to the maintenance manual.  I downloaded it.

ssjdeng, thanks for the info.  I ordered the D9Y32UT.

  • ZR2740w HP and HP Folio 9470 m / UltraSlim, Docking Station

I have the following problem and hope someone in the forum as an idea / suggestion.

When I connected screen via a cable port with the docking station display and I have my laptop connected, I get no signal and the screen keeps black. This is independent of the operating system - I have used Windows 7, Windows 8.

When my laptop is connected, but I fix the cable directly to the laptop display port, it works without any problem.

I also realized that with the other poster 23 "or 24" with the docking station installation works without problem.

So it must be a cominbination between UltraSlim Docking Station and the ZR2740w screen.

Any advise what should be judged?

Update: After the call to HP support I have and being bounced between various clueless offshore tech support representatives, I finally landed on workstation support based in the United States.  Justin looked at the problem and identified as a known issue and replace my monitor cable with one that says that HP will work.   In addition, in the meantime, there is a solution that I understood.  If you do not use the display port on the docking ultraslim but pug the cable directly into the computer, it works fine.  There are some associated fact with what you have to plug each time dock you and unplug whenever you disconnect (and of course the cable always falls behind the desk while you do this), but it's okay as a solution while I'm waiting for the new cable to arrive.  Will update this post after that happens and report if it works.

  • HP Elitebook 840 G1, G2, G3: Showing empty HP 2013 Ultraslim Docking station

    * It seems to connect has a new dock in a configuration that we already know works fixed whatever issue the dock. After connection to a working configuration, we can move to some other computer/editing we need to, and it continues to work. Not a real solution irritable, but it seems to work.

When you try to use an adapter Displayport to VGA or DVI DisplayPort cable / to connect a HP 2013 Ultraslim Docking station to an external monitor, the screen comes up with no signal and goes to sleep. Connection with a VGA cable, it works very well. We have been able to reproduce this problem with several new, fresh out of the box docking station. The problem occurs on all monitors that connect us, even those who work with the other Docks to see.

It seems to be the topology of Displayport Intel is picking up on the screen and making it so that the displayport cannot be enabled without connect 3 screens.

The old version of the Ultraslim Docking station that had 1 displayport seems to work very well, it's just the most recent version 2013 which has 2 displayports who has this problem.

Does anyone know if there is a newer firmware or where I can disable/stop the topology Displayport to pick it up a monitor and try to do 3 screens? If this isn't the case, we will probably have to go back to USB adapters and those who are no funny.

    Thank you

  • Compatibility of P50 docking station

    Hello everyone,

    Recently, I bought a P50 (i7-6700HQ, 16 GB RAM, M1000M, 256GB SSD), and now I would like to add a docking station.

In all stores I've looked at so far, it is stated that only the version more great 230W named 'performance dock' or 'Workstation dock' is compatible with the P50.

Can I really not only use the templates 'pro' (90W) or the 'ultra' (135/170W) cheaper?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Map chart AMD 14 ZBook and docking station

  • Compatibility issue with the Portege 7020 / display CT 7200 & docking station

    Hi guys,.

I have some problems with 2 cell phones.

    1 is:
I bought a 7020 used to replace the broken of 7200 screen. After having disassembled the screen, I noticed that the connectors have the same number of threads, but one of the terminal of the 7200's screen has more. 'no problem' I thought, and with patience I picked up the cable of the adapter of 7020 one put in the 7200.
But when I turned it on I saw only the colored lines and squares: S: S
If you want I can provide with the NP, if it would help... Even if I check the compatibility before ordering.

    2nd problem:
Portege 7200 correctly recognize the docking station, while a few beeps before starting the 7020, and obviously it does not work with him. I checked on the toshiba site and the dock would be totally compatible!

And for the end... Where can I find the bios updates?

Sorry for my bad English, I hope someone could help me!

    Kind regards
    Francesco

    Hello Francesco

You'll be really lucky if someone here can help you with these old models of laptops. I'm sure they have about 10 years.
No manual maintenance and sufficient knowledge is not easy to help you with this replacement of the screen.

This problem with docking station may be related to defective hardware. The two laptops are so similar, and two of them can be used with this docking station. How you can be sure that equipment is high on 7020?

The BIOS updates are available on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp, but as I can see for Portege 7000 there is no updated BIOS, just to 7020.

If you wish, you can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider. they have manuals for maintenance for this old notebooks and allow you to provide accurate information on the parts you need.

  • Docking station compatibility

I used to have a 230 X, and I still have the docking station for it (I forget exactly who, but she helped two monitors, which IIRC is not the base model).

I am now looking to be replaced by a 250 X or a T450. Two of them will be held on the old docking station?

    Thanks for any advice.

When it freezes, I unplug the monitor and keep very well. Also, I can't image on my second monitor when it is plug-and - do not freeze...

Okay, so I managed to solve this problem, I did it with a VGA cable instead of a DP to VGA adapter, after that I pluged it's good I was able to update the firmware!

  • Docking station for Satellite Z30 - A - 1-2

    Hello

    I'm looking for a docking station for my laptop, Satellite Z30 - has - 1 2.
Can you please help me find the right model?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I found some info that you can use Hi-Speed Port Replicator III. The price is about 220 Euros.
In any case, before order you you can check compatibility with your local dealer.

One last thing: on the compatibility of the list your will find Portege Z30.-a. This model of Toshiba is in fact identical to your Satellite model.

  • Docking station for Dell Precision 7510

I have Dell communities very recently joined after I buy the laptop Dell Precision 7510. It's a great product so far, but I want something better. I want more ports. A cradle to go with it is the obvious solution.

What is the best laptop computer Dell Precision 7510-compatible docking station? My specific needs/setup:

-2 external screens (D - sub / HDMI, or for £50 in addition, connection I get display-port), screens may be more in the future

    -internet cable high speed

    headphone/microphone

-Sockets USB for mouse, keyboard, printer, scanner, external hard drives, etc.

I presume that the Advanced E-port replicator is the best/most appropriate. I just want to be sure of that, because my laptop model (7510 precision) is still very new and not all information everywhere put on compatibility. I don't want to make a costly mistake. I travel and will not be able to "return" the products I buy.

Yes. I contacted Dell sales... service and they told me that the Dell E-Port Plus II is compatible with my 7510 accuracy. After written confirmation, I advanced and bought a British supplier on Amazon for £100... but he came in a suspicious package and did not work well, and the adapter was the size of a brick (literally). I went back to Amazon... and tried my luck with Amazon Germany. You can get the original product on their part for about 140 euros, and it works perfectly. The link to the product:

    http://www.Amazon.co.UK/GP/product/B00A8ESOVA?PSC=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

(it's actually UK, now that I check it... it's that I bought and it's good)

Basically, Dell has not updated its compatibility information yet. The docking station is listed in the check-out for precision 7510, but does not say specifically that it is compatible with this model. I had similar problems elsewhere too, as I want to install LoJack on my laptop, but can not find information about the question to know if my laptop model is supported by what is called the 'persistence technology' in the BIOS (which makes it impossible to uninstall LoJack even if you change hard drives).
