I'm no expert in this area, but I think that you used the wrong application, namely Windows Media Player.
A month ago, I did 2 DVD with images and music. Here's what I did...
Open Windows Movie Maker...
1. I imported images in the timeline.
2. I imported the music (wma in your case) file to Audio column / music.
3. I have synced it so that the images and the music would start and end at the same time.
Note : If you already have the video file with import loan, then simple music video to the timeline and go to step #4.
4. I clicked on publish on DVD.
Windows DVD Maker wil pop up. You know the rest of the steps.

    Hi amanda2roy,

Please use the forum for Support of Vista,

Windows Media Center and DVD Maker is part of the Vista installation.  You can click Start, type in the area of research, programs and features.
Open it and click on turn Windows features on / off on the left side.  In the list, under multimedia features, check the box for Windows Media Center and DVD Maker.

You may need the installation of Vista CD/DVD to install the features.

    Hope this helps,

  • AVI format not recognized by Windows Movie Maker and Windows Media Player

HI, I use the Camileo S10. Download AVI files to PC (Vista) and openness to all ArcSoftw goes well.
I want to edit the films widely and must use Movie Maker for that. This AVI format used by Toshiba is not recognized. I tried several Codecs but my last hope lies with Toshiba to supply a Codec compatible Vista that works.

Please provide a Codec for Movie Maker to AVI from Toshiba format...

    Hello

Microsoft Movie Maker supports wmv format.
If you want to change other formats, then you must use the option: import video.
This will help import videos saved in another format.

Otherwise, you need to install a free tool to convert avi to mpg.
You can then use the Movie Maker for editing video.

  • Using Windows Vista and Windows Media Player with Sanyo R227 Internet Radio

I just bought a Sanyo R227 Internet Radio wireless.  He has no problem using my home network wireless and find the Internet gateway and play Internet radio stations.

However, it also has the ability to access and attendance of the media playing on shared Music folders.   The installation instructions are very simple, but again, I have to be able to connect.  (Someone else I know has no problem with XP).  Read the fine print, Sanyo said it is checked with Windows 2000 and Windows XP, but there is no mention of Vista.  When I emailed them, they said that they did not support Vista.  However, I found a few articles to say that they tested it with Vista, just no mention of what they did to make it work.  I don't know that Sanyo is not interested in checking out Vista, because Windows 7 is now available.

I have a Toshiba laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2 and Windows Media Player Version 11.  Also, I have Symmatic installed Smart Firewall (Norton) and enabled Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player network sharing service. I got Symmatic take possession of my PC and make sure these settings are correct.

I turned on the multimedia file sharing, file sharing and network discovery.  Because my PC is to use the Norton Firewall, Windows Firewall is disabled.  The network type is Public.  Privacy requires the Windows Firewall, which confuses the Norton Firewall.

When I scan to PC on the webradio of Sanyo R227, he never finds my laptop.  I'll try to turn off the Norton Firewall and see what happens, but I don't think that's the problem.

Anyone out there have experience with this device, media player and Vista?

Turn off the Norton Firewall and it worked.  Now I have to talk to Symantec and find a way to make it work with the firewall turned on.

  • Windows Media Center and Windows media player 11 will not work on my Gateway (Vista) computer

On my windows media player, I get the following comment after I try to read the dvd:
Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

On my media center to windows, I get the following comment:
The dvd can be used by other players, need to change resolution b/c it is too high.

But Tuesday, I played the DVD without problem and now, I am confused and I need help to understand what is happening.

    Hello texanbelle,

Thank you for using the Microsoft answers Forum.

I am including instructions below a scan to help repair the system files related to some components of Windows, including Windows Media Center, and Windows Media Player.

Repair Windows Vista Media Center files

You can use the following steps to repair files that are part of Windows Vista Media Center:

    1. click on the Start menu, choose all programs, then Accessories, then right-click on the item to the command prompt and select run as administrator

    2. click on continue to allow it to open a prompt with administrator privileges

    3. run this command in the cmd prompt: sfc/scannow

    4. the cmd prompt should list text stating "start system analysis. This process will take time. »

    5. wait for the scan to complete (this may take several minutes, so be patient).  This command will scan all protected system files and attempt to replace the incorrect versions by appropriate Microsoft versions

    6. once the analysis is complete, the SFC tool will indicate whether or not it found no problems and whether or not he was able to correct

    7. If any errors are reported that SFC could not resolve, there are steps in this knowledge base article which explain how to locate and attempt to correct errors

    8. after fixing errors that are found, try to use Windows Vista Media Center again.

Fix Windows Vista Media Center registry entries

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to fix key/registry values that are installed by Windows Vista, as there are files.  If you want to try to repair the registry values/keys that are part of Windows Vista Media Center, you will need to re-run the installer of Windows Vista operating system and repair the operating system.

Try this and tell us if it helps with your question.

Original title: IRQL NOT or LESS EQUAL (BSOD) help

    Hello

I've experienced this * IRQL NOT LESS or EQUAL * problem irregularly from January 2. It happened after doing some tinkering with the registry of Windows Media Player files (but I made sure to return to the default options once I'm done and I have also provided a backup copy) since it generates random album art files and I am looking for a way to stop him. I also deleted the files Windows Media Library (wmdb). I don't know if this has nothing to do with the BSOD. This error occurred at random intervals, sometimes after opening my computer laptop it will BSOD sometimes, it won't happen after long operating hours. Hope you can help me with this.

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You don't need to run memtest again unless the auditor is not the cause, or you want to.

If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.

I'm reading a file mpeg and Windows Media Player C00D1199 error.  How to get good download of the missing codec?  I have windows 7 x 64 os.

    All is not lost.

Download and install a pack of codecs, such as K-Lite (Google for it). You can find THAT WMP can then read the file.

    Or
Download and install a small program called Gspot (Google it)! Drag and drop in its window one of the files, you can't plzy. It will tell you which codecs are used. You can then download and install the only after doing a search on the web for it.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker cannot read a particular DVD title while Windows Media Player and VLC can.

I use WL Movie maker to convert DVD titles/chapters/files .vob in a readable WMV format for consumption on my Windows Phone for later viewing. The DVD is open and has no right of use of media and every other title/chapter on the disk except for this one, I've converted using Movie Maker.

Windows Media player and VLC Media player can read without problem. Can I also hidden the specific section (and high school) with Divx Plus Converter in Divx format, but Movie Maker can not identify/read the article and simply extract 14-minute shows with nothing in it, even though it has about 25 minutes. Video player can read more about the chapter that is the second vob related file in the section.

I feel it is a problem with Movie Maker and its algorithms have encountered a scenario where he lost his mind, because I have to kill the Movie Maker, because never happens to expire.

Is this something where I can send a copy of the image to MS to get trying to fix an error reported to Microsoft Connect, or this there something I can try locally?

  • Only get a white screen with Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player

My Center & Windows Media Player do not work. Only, I get a blank screen. I would like to reinstall, but I don't want to reinstall all Windows Vista Home Premium. How can I reinstall the only Media Center?

    Hello, Rob Davis,.

Please check Application, system logs and Event Viewer Security for possible errors for the time that you tried to connect to Windows Media Center. Go to the computer and right click. Select manage. Then select Event Viewer, and then click Windows logs. In addition to this, you can check the newspapers of Media Center under the Application and Services logs. See if you have errors on Media Center.

Then, update your most current video driver. If you have an OEM computer, go to the site such as Dell or Acer, etc. Download the latest for your computer, such as the graphics drivers or video drivers.

Please answer back with an update and let us know if it helps.

  • How can I change my dvd back to Windows Media Player association?

    CyberLink Power DVD Ultra 11

I installed a Pioneer Bd writer and had to have the software to read BD disc.  I have installed Cyberlink Power DVD Ultra 11.  There are no questions on the installation who asked me if I wanted to play any type of disc with Power DVD.

This is what is happening.  No disc starts with Windows Media Play not yet regular DVD or CD.  They all raise Power DVD.

I have my default player for Windows Media Player, but that makes no difference.

    Thank you

    Tom

    Files

I agree that he should have asked you which types to associate the files, but you should be able to re - join those you want with WMP just by right clicking on one of them in Windows Explorer and then selecting open with, choose default program & choosing WMP while checking that the box "always use this program...". "is defined [always, that's when even I think that].

[Open the dialog box can be a little misleading.]  [If WMP is not one of the choices available to you, look immediately under these choices & there is a small arrow down which will reveal many more choices including WMP].

You will need this procedure for each type of file you want to associate to WMP again.

    Discs

You will also need to go into Control Panel, Autoplay set discs to use WMP again.

  • Music in Spotify, iTunes and Windows Media Player

Well, I tried to use my programs of music on my computer for about a week and a half now, and that they won't play all my music. Not at all.  I went to support these programs, but they did not really help. I also checked to see if any of them were incompatible with my computer, which iTunes was the only one, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the version 64-bit for Windows 8 and still nothing.

I don't know if it's the sound of my computer, which I don't think it is, because it works for everything else except these three programs. And I have no idea why, and frankly, it's getting boring. I also checked my device manager and my sound system and everything is working properly.

Anyone who can help and give me some answers on this as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi JennaHarske

  • I have just a white screen with complete audio on Windows Media Player.

    Original title: sound, no video

I ordered a series of dog training DVD.  When I went to download the premiera and play via Windows Media Player, I have audio, but the captain was missing, just a screen dance of psychedelic images.  I've screwed around a bit and go get rid of it, but now I just have a white screen with complete audio.

Thinking I need a plug in I released on bail and downloaded the same clip on my laptop. Same thing, only it started with a white screen.  I doubt that this is a problem with the link, but he has seen it happen on 2 different puters a wonder.  I am running Vista on my desk, I think it is XP on the laptop.

    Help?

    Hi Dave,.

I suggest you to follow the steps from the link and check if it helps.

The screen may appear black or green during playback when the Windows Media Player control is embedded in a Web page

    I hope this helps.
