Compatible DVD - ROM for Satellite Pro 4320
I want to put in a DVD - ROM drive in my Satellite Pro series 4300 (SP4320) to replace the current cd-rom installed TEAC. I was wondering what dvd - rom readers would be appropriate.
Would be especially drive DVD TOSHIBA sd-c2302 model and the drive DVD Teac DV - 28F be compatible with my laptop? Sites, I checked that the TEAC seems to be cheaper...
In any case thanks for any advice!
I m not, of course, what car models are compatible with your device. In my opinion the best thing you can do is to contact a Service partner and ask for more information.
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com - Supports & downloads you will find a list of all the European partners in Service.
I want to upgrade the CD-ROM drive in my Toshiba Satellite Pro 4320 with a new DVD - RW drive. If I bought the next disk, will it work with my laptop?
Samsung SN-S082D SlimDrive
Or, if you please, if you know a DVD - RW drive compatible with this laptop, then share your knowledge for me and others know what to buy. Thank you.
Or are all the available discs today compatible?
Compatibility of the player is always a problem to upgrade. The fact is that every ODD won't work with each laptop model. I assume it's due to the assignment of the different pins.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any list of compatible sides for your laptop model. Sat Pro 4320 is quite old and it will probably not so easy to find the compatible DVD - RAM drive. Try to contact Toshiba authorized in your country. They are upgrading specialized and they know which sides are compatible for this laptop Satellite Pro.
I have a lite - on dvd slimline burner we don't work in the sp6000
now, I want to know Witch one does not work in a satellite pro 6000?
(DVD burner or a combination dvd/CD-RW)
As far as I know that no engraver of DVD or combo for Satellite Pro 6000 driver is available. Download and review the Satellite Pro 6000 user manual. There are readers who must be compatible.
I found these:
Reader of DVD - ROM SD-C2502
-Player CD-R/RW UJDA340
-Drive CD-RW/DVD-ROM UJDA720
-Drive CD-RW/DVD-ROM SD-R2102
Reader of DVD - ROM GDR-8081
But if you want to be 100% sure, you can contact the ASP in your country. There also order you the discs
Good afternoon. This is my first post on the forum so I hope I'm in the right subtopic.
I have a Dell Dimension 2350C with a built in CD-ROM desktop computer. I am interested to get a DVD-ROM which would be compatible, but on the catalog current online the check and get account how many updates there since my Dimension has been produced, I'm not sure about which DVD player would work.
Can someone advise me? If Dell is no more a compatible device: smileysad:can someone suggest another one that would be appropriate?
Also, I've probably will install the drive myself. I still have my manual for my size. Will I need to "tweak" anything in what concerns the installation because I probably won't have the original DVD-ROM for the Dimension drive (I hope that makes sense LOL).
Thanks for any help you can give me! : bravohelen:
Hello, I have a Satellite Pro A30 which has 1 GB RAM and 2.8 GHZ P4 processor. I was wondering when toshiba would provide ACPI compatible BIOS upgrades for these machines? Because I would like to upgrade to Windows Vista, when running the Vista Upgrade Advisor, my machine will work Windows Vista professional, but I just want to use Windows Vista Basic.
So I started the upgrade of Windows XP, and once the computer is restarted to begin installation of Vista I was faced with the blue screen, indicating that my BIOS is not fully ACPI.
It seems such a shame that the machine is up to running under Vista, but Toshiba did not provide updates to bios ACPI. My bios version is 1.80.
Sorry to say but I agree with the above stanislaus.
I'm wondering if this laptop has Vista capable sticker? Not?
Well well, in such cases, it of not a big surprise that Vista can not be installed.
Of course, I installed Vista on my M40 unit.
I was a lucky guy ;) But I put t expect that Vista will run on each computer on this world some laptops really supports Vista and some not :(
By the way: I found this document:
Seems that the old A30 is not supported for Vista
My laptop's dvd - rom drive is old and broken, now that I have here an other dvd - rom drive, but I don't know how to remove the old dvd - rom without removing all parts of my laptop. Is there some service manuals how to replace the dvd - rom drive?
I m not 100% sure on the CD/DVD drive replacement on this laptop, but I assume that the procedure is very similar to other portable players.
For the most part the ODD is secured with the screw at the bottom of the unit.
You will need to remove this screw to get out and to swap the drive.
But be careful and don t there if you have no experience!
Moreover, not all readers are compatible and supported in reason parameters master/slave/c-salt. If you n t know which drives are compatible you should ask the ASP in your country for advice!
Ive got a satellite pro 2100 and I want to change the recorder to a dvd burner. is there a template I can get which will be a swap of right for in-house or will I need an external dvd burner? Thank you.
DVD writers usually come in two varieties, IDE usually designates those intended for 'slimline' and Office Tower systems which are generally mounted in laptops.
The physical form of the player is usually constant models (in this case Toshiba use different brands in their notebooks). The device will have various plastic components fittings attached to it which will need tro be transferred to your new unit and have threaded metal accessories which are used to secure the unit to the laptop. These must also be transferred to the new unit.
You also need device drivers dedicated to this new unit that can are provided on a CD or even be downloaded on the website of unit manufacturers.
Can someone tell me if there is a compatible unit internal dvd burner for my Satellite A30-514 P4 2.8 GHz/WXP HE/512 MB / 30 GB/15TFT/DVD-CDRW. And where I can get a.
I've changed the original CDRW in my A30 - 141 (a TEAC DW224E) for a carpet * a UJ825S with no problems at all. I just need to exchange the plastic parts of the old drive.
I don't think that the UJ825 is still available now, but future versions should do just fine.
I burned a DVD on the carpet a lot * one without any problems, so I'm very happy with it.
Try Googling for a suitable device, I found a range of price, when I searched for mine.
had this laptop and its proven one a little great worker for the family, what I want to do is change the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM to a DVD burner and I want help to find the type that I need. Necessary information:
-Is the sata or ide interface
-Should be master, slave, or cable select
Installation Guide would be useful
Thanks in advance for any help
Hi Rickski, I've changed the discs on the a120 so many times I'm sure I could do it in the dark eyes bandaged, it's really easy and it only takes a few minutes.
If you can give me a few days I'll put together an easy to follow step be step explanation. I ask only for a few days because I have to run and do not have the time to do it right now, sorry, but I will as soon as possible.
My DVD player packed. We know what readers out there are compatible with this laptop. I am currently looking for a NEC ND-6750.
Thank you very much.
Did you look in the user manual?
In my manual that was preinstalled on your laptop, I found a list of compatible drives.
I think the similar list with disks taken in charge and compatible, you will find in your manual document.
Otherwise, you could ask the guy to service Toshiba for the compatible device.
You know, it is important that you purchase a supported player with the settings of the master/slave/c-salt because it of not possible to change these settings later.
My Satellite S1800-750 DVD player not working anymore. My question is: can I replace it with the original SD-C2502 only, or are there also other (perhaps more recent) readers who register in the same dwelling?
The SD-C2502 does not support DVD + R discs for example, which would be quite a good service practice to have...
Thanks in advance
That means the user manual says?
Have you checked it?
I want to know if I can connect to my laptop multiregion DVD player to play DVDs in regions other than 2 or alternatevly can buy multiregion DVD player? Thank you.
AFAIK there is no DVD drive opportunity ton market. All I know is that you can find tools to manipulate the reader and make it multiregional, but it is absolutely illegal.
I have a Toshiba Satellite S1800-412 computer and I want to change my DVD - CD player, since he does not recognize DVD discs. Can someone tell me where I could find for this machine compatible readers (i.e. you can tell me a site or list with discs)? Thank you!
I found information that the compatible DVD player for Satellite 1800 is Toshiba SD-C2502. It is not just DVD recorder DVD player.
I own a Satellite Pro 4320. He has the memory factory (64 MB), and I want to develop it. I read in the manual that it is possible to install up to 576 MB. But in other documents and web pages, I read that 320 MB is the maximum memory.
Anyone know what is the right number?
Does anyone know where to find 256 MB modules (if they can be installed)? I found only 128 MB modules.
Thanks in advance
I found information that 320 MB Max for this device. I have also not lucky to find the 256 MB RAM module for this device. There are two possibilities. You can contact the partner in your country and stopped a single module or you have to find some pieces of mobile equipment supplier in your country.
First of all, sorry if this message appears twice. I posted earlier this morning and he did not notice in the list of the forums then posted again.
I myself have recently a Satellite Pro 4320, but want to upgrade the standard CD-ROM drive to a CD - RW. I found a car at a computer fair and manage mounting.
I thought that you could drag the disc on the side and replace it - but alas no! I deleted EVERY visible screw unit and it STILL don't fall apart!
Help! How can I change the CDROM - I have not sent it to a service provider for the lack of a second-hand car £5... I do?
Thanks in advance
It is not easy to change the CD-rom on this machine and if you don't have a lot of experience you shouldn't do it yourself. Problem is that the CD is fixed on the map system and if you want to remove the drive must disconnect the System Board at first.
To do this, you need to disassemble the whole laptop and open it by completely removing the top cover.
Sorry but I can't give you more information because any dismantling procedure is not known to me.
