Complete BIOS fails to update successful!

Dear Experts,

I have a HP Pavilion Elite e9150t CTO desktop PC (product number: NY810AV)

I've recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and have experienced several accidents to blue screen. One of the ideas is to update my Bios.

I happy to update my Bios several times, but when I restart the computer the update does not appear when you go in the area of F10 at startup or msinfo32.exe information system. I'm supposed to have correctly installed four times, but the version of 17/09/10 left. Help, please! Vinnie

Existing Bios: BIOS Version/DateAmerican Megatrends Inc. 5.29, 17/09/2010

I am trying to install the Version of the Bios: BIOS of card mother IPMTB-TK updated 2010-11-12, Version5.29, 1.56 M

Thank you very much for the information.

Since I replaced the CMOS battery, I got a blue screen crashes even if I don't yet to update the BIOS to the later version. So I will be with your suggestions/instructions if the blue screen crashes happen more.

Thank you once again. Vinnie

    here

With very old BIOS versions like what you have, you will need to step up the BIOS versions in order.  You don't need to intensify in each version, just a couple of big no.

Keep us updated... I think you will like the new BIOS versions, and I post it is better to update the BIOS to go into BIOS, rather than inside Windows.

    Hi iSkelly,

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.
