Complete restoration

My apologies if this has been answered before. I searched but have not found anything that addresses how to make a full recovery from end to end.

I have replace my discs on tray rotating and replacing them with SSDS. Because the SSD is smaller that the previous disk (1 TB spinning, 512 GB solid) I can't not just them swap one at a time and rebuild (AFAIK).

Instead, I did a full backup of the configuration and the data directory. I was able to retrieve the complete configuration (except for the host name, which had to be changed manually). But I see no way to implement a recovery job that restores all actions and base directories.

I can retrieve each action individually (though it will be a lot of time, I would rather kick off a single process) but I see no way to retrieve the home directories. I can not select home as a destination for the recovery process.

You will need to get users to connect and then get them to manually copy data across their new home sharing.

The actions should be restored individually too.

  • Complete restoration or recovery Simple for SQL 2005

    Hello

"What is involved when the database is set to the restoration complete (default) If no backup is made to the database and that involvement when it comes to the recovery of the database between 'full recovery mode' or simple recovery.

    Thank you

Mike laid out this one. I guess that's for the virtual Center, whose loss of data is usually not a problem... If it's for something else, I would think long and seriously not one-way. Databases more need so much recovery you can get, where the majority of their data is not performance data, or something superfluous.

    Hi wetmartinia,

    1. do you have security software installed on the computer?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    3. you receive an error with the message code?

    Method 1

In many cases software security installed on your computer may interfere with the process of restoration of the system on the computer.

I suggest that you disable the security software on the computer and then perform the system restore, check if it works.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then view the event logs to investigate System Restore service errors, post back with the details.

    (a) click Start, click run, type eventvwr.msc/s in the Open box, and then press ENTER.

    (b) click on the category System .

    (c) click the Source tab to sort by name, and then look for "sr" or "srservice." Double-click each of these services and then evaluate the event description for any indication of the cause of the problem.

    Hey there,

I am wanting to restore fully my laptop so it's like using it for the first time again.

Do I need a disk to do this because I don't have a drive with him and my product key is on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop.

Please answer if you know it.

    Thank you

    PS; My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A100 - 02 k.

Contact the Technical Support of Toshiba http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp or http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/navShell.jsp?cf=su_contact and see if you have a recovery Partition.  If so, it would be possible to do the restore from there (using a special keyboard command) or can be used to create a set of recovery disks.  He shouldn't tallk to them though, as it's their recovery process and non-Microsoft.  If you have no recovery or disk partition, ask Toshiba to buy a set of recovery disc (usually for a small fee).  I looked but could not find them, but they are probably still available, but just not listed on the site.  Don't forget to backup your data this process erases the hard drive clean at ALL.

    Hello

    I have a thinkpad T60 notebook. It is a type of 1953.

I do a full system restore, using the "rescue and recovery CD" and the recovery of 5 CD.

When I'm on disc 2 of 5, I get the blue screen.

    The blue screen says:

"A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly left or came to an end.

    ...

    Information techiical:

I tried 3 times with the same error messages and the result in blue screen, the recovery process.

Could you please let me know what I need to do to perform a successful recovery?

  • Complete restoration of the Server 2008 R2 vmware workstation for windows backup image 9

    9 workstation.

I am trying to restore a backup of windows server r2 2008 (made with the built-in windows backup) on an existing installation of vmware server 2008 r2. Basically, I just want to replace the facility with the backup version.

The problem is, the windows to the backup image is on a USB key.

    The restore process is:

    1. Connect the usb host drive
    2. Insert the windows server r2 DVD in drive
    3. initialize the Server 2008 r2 comments and press the button ESC at startup, then boot from the CD
    4. Select 'repair' installation
    5. but here's the problem, windows backup image is on my USB, but at this stage I do not see the USB key from the client in the repair installation process.

Ideas of the best way to do it?

    Thank you

Okay, downloaded the ISO Image of Windows Server 2008 R2, created a new Virtual Machine, added the Windows Server backup and made a full backup without the destination for the backup drive, a USB Flash drive.

Started the virtual machine of the ISO Image and it does not see the backup from a USB Flash drive, although I can see it from the command prompt.

Also created a record gross hard pointing to the USB Flash drive and started the virtual machine of the ISO Image and he does not see the backup of the hard disk gross of the Flash USB drive, because the Virtual Machine had problems during the boot process.  Forget the exact error message, but I tried as a whole disk and a partition.  So the why I tested it by copying it to a normal file depending on the disc hard virtual (and worked).

Finally I created a regular file based hard and copied the backup folder of the USB Flash it and then started the virtual machine drive of the ISO Image and it had no problem see the backup from the normal file based hard.

It seems that you have to take the long way around, but at least, you should be able to see!

I know not when booting from the ISO Image or a disc of Windows Server 2008 R2, backup tools command line are available to restore the image however you could examine the issue.  I would like to but I just don't have the time at the moment.

    Hi rajkum,

In 9i, you don't have the ability to backup backupset catalog.
You must restore a created with the controlfile autobackup controlfile right after that "the old full backup set" was created.

This controlfile will contain the necessary backup game info, so you can perform the restore.

My iPad will not normally charge.  I tried different cables and Chargers.  I plugged the iPad to iTunes and reset a DFU.  After only a few hours the iPad finished reloading all software and reloaded new apps, it had also charged the battery but the problem remains, I still can't load the iPad normally.  Any help out there?

There are very few things that keep loading an iPad. Some of these (other charger plugged into a good outlet, different cable) you have already tried. Others are:

1 dirt, lint or fuzz in the port of loading of the charger or the iPad. Check and clean carefully if necessary.

    2. a software failure. Reset the iPad. Press and hold the Home button and the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the appliance restarts. You lose no data by doing this. It's like a restart of the computer.

    3. failure. Make an appointment at an Apple store to have a technician look at your device. Or contact the Apple Support.

  • I had to fully restore my HD and subsequently lost all my e.mails saved from 2013 and the beginning of this year, I can get back in a new installation of program?

I had a major breakdown of the system on Windows 7 and had to completely restore my HD. When restored I lost TB. Successfully, I rebooted TB but have lost all my e.mails saved from 2013 as well as recorded from 2014.
The first e-mail now in my system is time that TB has been reloaded. Saved the e.mails are important and that's why I need to know how, if possible, to retrieve messages.

If you had an IMAP e-mail account, then all your emails are stored on the server, so install Thunderbird and create the IMAP e-mail account to display folders and emails on the server.

If you had a POP e-mail account so all your emails have been stored on the computer and you should regularly create backups of your profile folder or at least created a backup of your profile (and any other documents / images etc. on your computer) before wiping the computer/reformatting and reinstalling OS. So, you can use the backup to reinstall the profile. If you have used MozBackup to create the *.psv file, and then reinstall MozBacktool and use it to restore the profile.

If you have not created a profile backup, but backed up/saved emails as recorded on an external device .eml files, you can use this addon to restore these .eml files to the new profile.
