• Navigation bar - typical applications

  More than likely, I'm "creatively challenged" but I do not see how a Navigation bar allows functionality already provided by other components of navigation like tabs, breadcrumbs and lists in conjunction with Page 0 function. If someone used a navigation bar, could you explain the typical use cases? Thank you

  I have not actually used "widely" Navigation bars but have thought patterns a lot recently, and I think that has gained a glimpse through this exercise.

  As both, you said, it's just all the methods of navigation, so there must be some differences between the navigation bar, tabs and lists that provide reasons for using one over the other.

  Tabs and navigation bar (below 'navigation bar' to save typing) are as they are, out of the box, mechanisms of global navigation with their general layout and markup defined in the page templates. If you use a built-in template or create your own as required, then the nav bar/tabs will appear on all pages using this template with no additional work. The navigation bar can be placed anywhere in the page template - even included more than once - but the Page model order Substitutions.

  However, lists must be explicitly included in a page by adding a list box. Add to Page 0 it will appear on each page. List supplement is defined in the list templates, with a default template assigned to each list when it is created, but the model can be substituted so region-by-region, which translates into flexibility.

  Individual tabs, nav bar entered and list entries can all be included or excluded from the view using Conditions. Everyone can have their appearance and positioning completely customized using CSS (given appropriate markup in the appropriate model). Using this, the App Builder provides connections to set tabs and the list entries as current for one or several pages, allowing a different look that provides guidance for users. Although it is possible to achieve the same thing with the nav bar entries, APEX offers no direct support for this.

  Applications can subscribe to nav bar entries published from a master application, which cannot be done with the tabs and the entries in the list. This active "supra-global" consistent navigation mechanism be shared across a family of applications in a workspace. Re: APEX 3.1 improvements.

  Tabs always submit the page. This is not necessary or desirable to all navigation operations. (Navigation bar and the list entries can be coded for if necessary.) Tabs - especially at level 2 tablets - is there any hope of getting two tabs level work?

  Crumbs, I never felt like much.

  If when deciding if the use of the navigation bar is indicated, the following would be probably relevant:

  -Do you want to locate the navigation links in the page templates? To regions outside? Perhaps more than once? May be outside the APEX train?

  -Do you need to provide common navigation links between multiple applications?

  -Need links that does not send the page?

• You can expand the Windows Calendar

  When you use the details and navigation components, the Calendar pane is very thin.  is it possible to expand the Calendar pane and refine the components of navigation/details?

  Assuming that you are referring to the calendar in Windows Mail...

  The only way I know is to turn OFF the navigation pane or the details pane

• Pushing pages in the pages of tabbedPane

  How to GROW pages in tabs (Page1Members, Page2User)? I need a NavigationPane to push pages, but I don't think that my pages in tabs can be components of navigation...

  Yes, they can be. Note the hierarchy of classes and the class involved. A TabbedPane holds tabs, which can contain a subclass of AbstractPane. Subclasses of this AbstractPane are NavigationPane, Page and TabbedPane.

• I can't create bookmarks

  I had to upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.13 and now it won't let me add bookmarks. My boss is very insistent that all PDFs should be bookmarked. When I go on the left side of the screen and open the menu with thumbnails, in the past there would be an option for me to add bookmarks. the bookmark tab is finished now. I combined the PDF with pdf one another in the hope it create bookmarks for the 2 files and if all goes well, let me add back you. He gave me the bookmark tab and it showed bookmarks for 2 files I combined but I don't have any option to make all bookmarks.

  You can put the option bookmark back on the shelf on the left by accessing

  View > show/hide > components of navigation > bookmarks (in acrobat itself)

  check the same in this menu box. It will show the bookmarks to the left of the window.

• "Organize the Pages' in Acrobat DC window can be shown alongside the document that in previous versions?

  I just got a new computer for a customer and they used Acrobat 9 before.  The new computer has DC Acrobat. The previous version showed the page thumbnails on a component that was left of the view full page, making it easy to use.  You can do it in Acrobat DC?  When I click on pages to organize, it shows page thumbnails, but does not display the complete document. I have to go 'back to Document' to see the document.  Thank you.

• Annexes PDF

  Hello

  Could someone please tell me how I would take a PDF which contains perhaps annexes A, B, C, and rather than having to each appendix attachment in the PDF main document body (which could be 50 pages long for each Annex and make the document more 150 pages to scroll in Total) I just tell annex on page 11 , B on page 12 and page 13 C, but integrate the annexes A, B and C as separate attachments that can be viewed from a content page in the file PDF if necessary.

  I want all this be packaged in 1 PDF document, which can be sent to the right customer. I hope this makes sense

  You can design a separate PDF that works like a table of contents with links directly to different parts or page destinations in these parts.

  The only thing to think about is a possibility for the reader to different PDF files to post a link to this base table of the content file.

  • It could include the addition of a button with an action, at the top of each page links back to "contents.pdf".
  • and in the pdf content you build links to the various destinations appendici and page.

  Personally I prefer to use Destinations at work between the different PDF files and jump to a particular page, because they can target a specific page in a PDF file.

  • Basically, the first thing we do is that you set all Destinations in different PDF documents. (View > show/hide > components of Navigation > Destinations)
  • Then, generate you the links. (View > tools > PDF Edit), select Add or change the link in the link menu. Use the 'Go to Page view' option and click Next.
  • When the 'Set the link' dialog open the PDF that contains the destination, open the Destination pane and double-click the destination to set the link.

  You can use a PDF portfolio to combine all PDFs in a single container. If you have worked with PDF portfolio in earlier versions of Acrobat, you'll find that in Acrobat DC portfolios has been greatly simplified.

  • File > create > PDF portfolio.
  • Click Add files.
  • Set the order in which you want to include the various documents (e.g.: PDF contenu.pdf first, then the others after that).
  • Click on create.

  When you click on links, the different PDF files will be open to their point of destination.

• ADF Faces 11.1.2.4: Looking for information on the dynamic menu options and MDSMenuModel

  I'm looking for the feasibility of making the model default menu (created by the intermediary to generate xml based utf adfc-config file. XML) using other components of navigation as an af:panelaccordion. It does not look as if it was possible to create it is similar to the menu tutorial Dynamics navigationpane. I found no documentation useful about the MDSMenuModel and inspect, iterator returned object class hierarchy, they all point to the classes in the package org.apache.myfaces.trinidadinternal.menu (red flags). I would like to hear suggestions on how to proceed to those of you who have implemented this type of functionality. Thanks in advance.

  finally found the solution. for all those who are interested, here is a screen for my menu which can be dynamically rendered through several components of the tree based (currently using trees table Viewer and dvt of hierarchy).

  On the other hand, the accordion menu is slightly different depending on the details of my original question. The trick was to use the EL evaluator to decipher appropriate methods to call on the MDSMenuModel. The final expression to the next level for the value of the loop has become:

• How to link to a page within a PDF file?

  I can link to a PDF file from a web page, for example, with the < a href > tag. Is there a way to link to somewhere in the PDF file, for example to a page or a topic title number?

• Derivative became a permanent part of the .pdf!

  So, I got a PDF with many highlights and annotations. After the signing of this document, all observations have been lost, but the highlight remained. However, the highlight is no longer an interactive object - is no longer something that can be selected and delete. It is as if, after signing, Acrobat takes a "picture" of the document, and thus all updates highlight became real discoloration of the text that I can either select and delete.

  Any ideas how to get around this problem and get rid of this permanent highlighting?

  I also checked Acrobat.com and apparently I needed to share the file after I downloaded it. Maybe it works now. In any case, I'll look into AA XI now (7/24). The previous version was 9 AA.

  I got a few useful results with AA XI (I might be able to do it in 9 AA, but that's for another day). I activated the displayed content item (goes on the left side with the pages and others). It is enabled by selecting view > show/hide > components of Navigation > Content. I went to the last item in the list which was a form of XObject. Just for the heck of it, I deleted the last that all lines went away and I found myself with the page and the yellow highlighting that has been added. Apparently, the page has been OCRB as the content of the text as a graphic. Which suggests that there is a layer of text hidden behind the chart and that highlighting is connected to.

  So I was able to remove all the lines. I don't know if that's what you want, but it gives something to try. I was able to do this in AA 8 also, so it is not a new option. Unfortunately, it seems that you need to do this for each page. If all goes well, the last XObject on each page is what you need.

My question is how can I implement a feature that provides the user connected only with all of the linked pages to his Ministry and not allowing access to the rest of the application.

  You will need to provide clarification on that. What is an "index page"? Try to use a more precise terminology specific to APEX: there are several ways that the menus can be created in the APEX.

  The authorisation schemes must be applied to all pages and you need to control access to components and navigation elements that lead. So if only HR users can access the HR and information pages, HR authorization scheme is applied to all HR pages; all the tabs and the list items that link to these pages; all the columns on the reports that the link to these pages or display privilege information HR; parts of HR on other pages (for example, the HR report on a dashboard home page)...

  You can't just apply the permission on the main navigation on the home page. Users can work around this by entering a page number in a URL. Doing the opposite and applying only authorization pages create a poor as user experience then you show the user a large number of navigation items that would simply lead to an error message when you click.

  Authorisation schemes should apply uniformly to all levels of the application.
