Compute will not be from hibernation

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista. My brother was playing with my computer last night and installed something here. When I went to get back on, it wouldn't come out of hibernation mode. So I restarted and it had a weird start screen and I re did it again and it took a few minutes for the paper onscreen to come. Then it was fine.

Now, today, I and the login screen would not come again so I had to re start it. So I did system restore for I think that October 29 and again if it is and is in standby it won't come out of him. I don't know what to do and I don't have the money to get a new computer or for repair.

  • After the recent update of Win7, computer will not remain in hibernation

After a recent update of Windows (probably to fix something else), my computer refused to stay in hibernation.
This is a 64 bit machine running Win7 Pro, and he wakes up now randomly after going into hibernation.
I tried using 'powercfg' to see what is wake it up - no result.
I tried to use 'powercfg' to deny the mouse and network which apparently have permission to wake up-no result.
I unplugged the mouse in case there is a vibration of the earthquakes to chance - no result
I unplugged the cable to the router in case there is a stray signal from on the internet - no result
I went into the "Network properties" window and turned off all the "wake up" properties - no result.
I looked at similar questions on this forum and checked "of performance issues" in the Panel as not advised - no problems to report.

OK - what makes the Microsoft with a recent update to cause this problem and when they're going to cancel it?

    Hello

Try the following and see if it helps.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to check the update history to discover the updates installed by following the link:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

    Method 2:

I suggest you perform a clean boot and check if it helps.

Clean boot will check if any third-party application is causing the problem, as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to solve the problem by running the clean boot in Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: once you have completed troubleshooting, perform the steps from step 7: to reset the computer as usual.

    Method 3:

I suggest you to see the steps in the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.

  • Re: Satellite Pro 6000 - will not be from hibernation

I allowed my Sat Pro 6000 to run out of battery at the weekend so I was working on it and it went into hibernation, now I can't get the screen to wake up again. When I Plug and switch on the power led lights up, but the driven system is not. If I leave the power for about 10 minutes, the fan turns on and then turns off again.

I tried to disconnect the battery cable and the power and left these disconnected from the day to the next, but this did not help. I removed the hard drive and tried in another 6000 and it works fine.

    Everyone knows about this problem?

    Hello

It seems more like a hardware problem as a problem of Hibernate (software).
I think there is something wrong with the power of electronic power supply on the motherboard and so the machine doesn't wake up or start impossible.

I think it will be not easy to fix this problem yourself.
Therefore an ASP help would be needed I put t see any other possibility.

  • Windows 7 for Lenovo G50-70 - the computer will not boot from the CD

    Hello world

I hope that someone here will be able to help

I bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1. I want to install Windows 7 on that I know well because I can't use the new windows. I changed the settings in the BIOS to get the machine to boot from the CD, but it won't be fair. I also tried to restore the system to boot from the CD, but it installs just the Windows pre-installed, new instead. Also, I can't access the CD from the drive while all my other computers are capable of (what is strange)

    Can someone help, please?

    See you soon

    PS. : I can turn on the computer through the small "boot botton" on the side and select the DVD drive to boot from. But this is not followed by the message "Press any key to boot from CD" and the computer starts just W8 yet;

I contacted customer service and followed your advice. They refused to help him on the ground that there nothing wrong with the machine in their opinion, and since I wanted to change operating system. All preinstalled spyprogrammes Lenovo has been erased with this downgrade. So far, I've owned a laptop computer brand new and expensive for a year I used only to waste my time, trying to make it work, that was not why I bought it in the first place. What a RIP-OFF!

  • computer will not be in hibernation

Something in my system constantly wakes up my computer. I can do manually put into hibernation and that is fine, but if I put it in an hour he will sleep and then wakes up again. I said it's a program tries to access the net, but I have no idea how to find him.

Go to the device, network adapter Manager, right click on the Ethernet adapter and go to properties, click the power management tab and uncheck the only 2nd box that says 'allow this device to wake the computer', then click ok and restart the pc.

The activity of the NIC maintains wake the pc.

Also make sure this oyou have Vista Service Pack 1 installed on your pc.

  • Computer will not download from the internet

I saw on this site that other people have similar problems with Vista suddenly refusing to download anything on the internet, even if they use a different browser.  Personally, I use Firefox and the same problem occurs even if I use IE.  I tried all the methods disabiling my Add-ons, restarted my laptop, etc.  No one answered that these methods have worked.  I don't see if it is malware on my laptop because I can not download the removal tool.  I was able to download Vista SP2 and other updates, but that was it.  Nothing else does.  Is there another way to solve this thorny problem?  This issue started back around April of this year after an update for an Ipod.

  • Computer will not be put into hibernation when I close the lid

I have a problem with my laptop. It is a series of Toshiba C55. When I close the lid it will not be in hibernation, even if I set power options to do so. This happens not all the time, but it happens enough that it's boring. If I close the lid and it will not be in hibernation, which means that it is in danger of overheating if I put in my backpack. If I use the start menu, it just goes to the lock screen, that's what I suspect it is when I close the lid. Help on that would be great.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    Hi George,.

From the description of the problem, it seems that the computer would not wake from sleep when you close the lid and open it again. I understand the inconvenience.

Method 1: Run the troubleshooter of power
