Computer crashes randomly - no entry in Event Viewer
Computer starts up fine, but crashes randomly. Sometimes, when it's just the office with AVG running, other times sound when Remote Desktop on the server MYOB or using IE or Chrome or Outlook etc.
Checked event viewer, nothing is there that refers to a form any error. Makes me think that it is a hardware failure.
Our building had a power outage over the weekend and when we came back on Monday all computers had been transformed and displays the 'Boot normally, etc. safe mode"because they had lost power while remaining on.
All except a computer seemed to recover properly. I have since replaced the power supply with a spare part and ran fine without freezing for almost an hour under duress (50 to 100% most of the time) with flash player in Chrome, IE and Outlook running, Windows Media player runs a long video SD and a few other somewhat cpu intensive programs.
I have an Asus P5Q - VM with an Intel Pentium E5200 and 2 x 1 GB DDR2 - 800 MHz.
A Seagate 250 GB HDD and a bootable CD/DVD drive.
I replaced the power supply and it would freeze again. Then, I replaced the motherboard and I have yet to install it correctly but it's already freezing. I ran Memtest86 and it passed.
I'm now beginning to think, it's the RAM (will do much more repetitive memory tests) or the CPU. But the CPU seems to act right, change of voltage as it changes frequency to save energy.
This is XP SP3, and yes I have a real Installation CD.
I also installed Windows 7 to find it still hangs, so I eliminated the software.

Hi Mkress,
Welcome!
You can get this error if Windows Error Reporting Service does not start, try to restart the service on the computer and check if the problem persists or not, follow the steps below to start the service:
1. click on start.
2 type Services in the start search.
3. look for Windows Error Reporting Service in the list.
4. right click on the Service.
5. click on properties.
6. set the Startup Type to automatic.
7 set the starting state.
8. click on apply.
9. click on OK.
Now restart the computer for the changes to the effect.
I would say that you do the check disk on the computer to find the bad sectors and disk related errors on the computer, follow these steps:
1. the procedure for chkdsk to run:
i. Click Start
II. type cmd in the start search box.
III. right-click on cmd.exe list programs and then select the run as Administrator option.
IV. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
v. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter Chkdsk/r
Note: When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts. Now, run the disk check in the command prompt.

Original title: network Drops randomly: the TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service was successfully sent a stop control
The given reason was: 0 x 40030011 [OS: network connectivity (planned)]
I want a definitive answer for this! For some reason any that never seems to have been resolved. I'm on a Samsung qx410 computer J01 laptop with windows 7. The display freezes randomly. The Windows desktop, on the Web pages and during the games. This problem started when I had Vista and I have improved the thought that the BONE was the problem. It is not the case. I added 2 GB of the thought of RAM I need more to no luck. I have now deleted 1 graphics card and the problem persists. I deleted all software except the OS and the problem persists. When you start Windows in safe mode, that the computer does not freeze.
You are either having a video card driver problem or a ram memory stick problem. I suggest that you check your ram and the settings in the BIOS. Use security settings BIOS for the ram as the auto setting. The Intels i7 have a little problem sometimes with more than one ram Strip and having the highest speed at stake. Check this and get back with me. I have a simple philosophy: just assume everyone is a piece of c.r.a.p. and then be pleasantly surprised if you find someone who is not.

Computer crashes randomly in any program. ___ __
Just installed Win7 on new PC. After running sfc/scannow, it finds corrupted files, but could not solve some of them. Journal CBS read:... mcbuilder.exe is not actual file [l:26 {13}] 'mcbuilder.exe'... [{Could reproject not corrupt the file}] "mcbuilder.exe"... file source in the store is also corrupted. CHKDSK has come up without any problem. Win7 works fine on my other computer (also 32-bit). If someone could give me some suggestions that would be great.

Computer crashing on the connection to the internet
My computer freezes currently in normal mode, whenever I try to connect to the internet. However, the internet works fine in safe mode. I tried to isolate the problem by disabling all programs one by one. As well as running several different virus detection software. Nothing seems to be causing it. I can't reset my computer to an earlier date, because I have no place he has been saved where it still worked. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Tsweet92,
1 have you checked the event viewer to find the defective module that could be the cause of the failed computer?
2. What were the changes made to the computer before having this problem?
I suggest you check the event viewer to see if there are any entries on Internet Explorer to crash.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer
You can see the link which will help you analyze the entries below Event Viewer:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer
You can also post the entry in your response if you have difficulties to find errors.

EVENT VIEWER HAS STOPPED WORKING!
My OS is Windows 7 64-bit, 800 GB hard drive and 2 GB of RAM right now. I played an old game on a CD and then it just crashed. I opened the event viewer for the resolution of problems and it says check if Event Viewer runs.
I am totally astonished that this happened because I have read this on forums but, it was for Vista only. Any suggestions would be welcome and one that works, I'll answer for your expertise. Thank you...
Shekhar s,
I want to say thank you very much for the 100% correct answer, you sent me. I thought I had to do a complete restore with the Installation diskettes.

computer crashed I reinstalled CS5, but it won't take my serial number
My computer crashed and I reinstalled CS5 to view of download. I have a license for two computers that was installed on two iMac computers. An iMac crashed and I couldn't in my hard drive, so I bought a MacBook Pro. I called Adobe and they gave me a case number 0215153209 as well as the view of web to download the software and my serial number of the product. I downloaded the product, but it will not accept the serial number. I wonder, because I had it installed on two computers and I was unable to remove the software from the computer on which crashed that he thinks I'm trying to load on a third computer? I don't come to this?
I was able to get the program installed. Thank you
