Computer does not recognize my camera SD card

We installed a wireless router and now the computer does not recognize my camera SD card. I have

no idea how to solve this problem.

Detail please...

I can only imagine you saying the Autorun window not
longer starts when you connect the camera via a USB cable. ?

Maybe the auto run settings need to be adjusted:

Windows Vista - Troubleshoot AutoPlay

Windows Vista - AutoPlay: frequently asked questions
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/AutoPlay-frequently-asked-questions

If you have external or internal drive do you have
the same question when you insert the SD card?

Microsoft did not your hardware - done HP.

All support for it - regardless of your operating system - is the manufacturer of the equipment.

  • My computer does not recognize my camera or media card more? __

I use a Canon DSLR and can not get the computer to recognize the card media. It also won't recognize the camera directly? Any suggestions?

    Hello

    ·         The computer is able to recognize the device or media card earlier?

    ·         Was there any recent changes to the computer?

    ·         What happens when you connect the device to the computer (done the camera upward show in Windows Explorer)?

Try connecting to a different computer and check if that is recognized.

  • computer does not recognize my camera

Hello, I have a windows xp pro to recognize my digital camera as a screen pop up and allow to my download and edit images.   When I plug in the camera and select pc I hear the 'gah-dunk"but nothing on the screen of the computer appears as before.   help alfredted

This digital camera has it's own package? One that allows you to download the camera in your computer?

Or do you just rely on XP to do for you?

What make your camera is, check out the website of its manufacturer.

Appropriate software, if you don't have it. (There may be the latest version... you can upgrade, here.)

If you have not installed the software, maybe it is corrupted and requires... uninstalled and then reinstalled to new (to refresh the application)?

If you have photos stored in your computer, using this software, please, save what you have... before you try to reinstall the software.

For me, it is simply a "common practice" for when things won't work properly.

This includes hardware and software, simply uninstall and then reinstall.

Most of the people do not like this as they see it as being all a task too hard... for them, when it's really not.

It is the fear of 'maintenance', or should I say "preventive maintenance", where they "fear" of losing their precious ' private pictures/details/contact numbers-e-mail addresses/etc'...if they had to attempt such a thing because maintaining their computer in a "working condition". (Funny, it's their computer tends to 'develop' major problems... from this attitude, and they ask 'why' it does more than just more!)

Worry on this subject, and not do anything in this regard, well, that just makes the job more difficult stuff. A few times makes the problem much worse is it really, because people will tend to continue to use the computer when there is a problem that needs fixing.

Okay, so that you spend 10 to 30 minutes to sort out the problem, when it occurs, it is the best time to make... never later.

  • XP Home Edition does not recognize my camera/sdhc card

Just bought a Nikon Coolpix s 3000, which takes a sdhc memory card.  When I connect the device to the computer via the usb cable, windows sometimes detects a device on the e drive, but says I need to insert a disc.  Sometimes there is not even that much.  He knows that something is there, because it fires whenever I connect and disconnect the cable from the camera.  I know that I can buy a card reader, but I really think that I would not, and I really want to be able to take the photos out of the camera without having to remove the memory card every time.  Any help out there?

(And Yes, I have automatic updates and have run Windows update to ensure that no hotfixes or patches.)  I found 2 patches, but when I tried to install, I got an error message saying that my service pack is newer than the fix.)

    Help, please! Thank you.

As for digital camera, several could have improved special drivers available for download on the web site of the manufacturer.

    Hi gramward1,

We recommend all first download and install the drivers for the chipset on the computer and check the difference.
To download the driver, visit the website of the manufacturer of the system.

Step 1: You can also try to search for the hardware changes and check if the device is detected on the computer. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. connect any USB device to the computer.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc, and then click ok.
    c. in the list of items, click one of the items, click the Action menu and click scan for hardware changes.
    d. check if the device is detected.

Step 2: Try to remove and reinstall all USB controllers
    a. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc in the Open box and then click OK.
    b. in the list of components, expand Bus USB controllers.
    c. right-click on each device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click on uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    d. restart the computer once you have removed all the USB controllers.
Note: USB controllers automatically install after you restart the computer.
    e. plug the removable USB storage device and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.

  • Windows XP Movie Maker does not recognize Canon camera

Windows XP Movie Maker does not recognize my camera Canon HF R10.  Canon is also not listed as a brand for the digital display when I connect the device to the computer.

    =========================================
Movie Maker has been designed to download from mini-DV cameras
connected with FireWire... (they record at small cassettes... not
    flash drives)

The best would be to download the video files in a folder on your
hard drive... convert the WMV movie format and then import
    in Movie Maker.

If you connect the camera via a cable USB and go to... My computer...
It should be recognized as a drive. If it's... you can download it from
there by copy and paste or drag and drop.

    Good luck...
