Computer DV7-1825dx laptop screen turns off at least connected to the HDMI

I have a Pavilion dv7-1825dx running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit.  The other day, I simply closed the laptop into hibernation.  At the time, it was only connected to a printer and a wireless mouse.  The next day, I opened the laptop and it turned on but the screen stays off.  I shut down the computer by holding the power button and then turned back on.  The screen appeared and asked me if I wanted to start Windows normally.  Then, I got the loading screen for Windows.  As soon as he was done loading, the screen turns off and the chime sounded for the login screen.  I repeated again than having the same problem.  I typed my password, but the screen stays off.  Because I often hang my computer to our TV via HDMI, I thought I would try it, and that is, both screens lit.  I then disconnected the HDMI cable and the computer screen exploded again.  Plugged into the HDMI and activated.  I went into options for NVIDIA and noticed that there is an analog display with the screen of television and laptop (up to three screens on the list).  I restarted in safe mode, and the screen of the laptop works great.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?  That I can not connect my laptop to the TV whenever I want to use.

Thank you advance!

Save the driver on the desktop and install it from there, not in a temporary folder.

Create a Windows restore point before starting.

During the installation of the new driver, click on "Custom" and there will be a link to uninstall the old drivers and all of your current settings, this before you install the new driver.

  • Laptop screen turns off during an update of the windows system

    Hello world

I got a new acer laptop with windows 8 last week. Today, there was a small system update that requires a restart of the system to apply the updates. So I restarted my laptop, but I have not seen any sign of update 5 minutes (maybe my internet connection is slow, I don't know...) So (stupidly), I decided to manually cut my laptop and maybe he would return to his State to not update so I might update later. But now the display lights. I can hear the fan working and lights are turning, etc. But I don't see anything. Please help me.

You are amazing for the quick response. Seriously. I got to the store and they said it had nothing to do with the update or turn off the power. It is the LCD LED screen. It was defective, and I got a new free of charge. Thanks again

  • Two problems that seem to be related. The screen turns off suddenly and reappears when the mouse is clicked. At the same time, the cursor insertion point disappears.

The cursor disappears during the strike. It is blackened and cursor disappeared three times during the typing of this sentence. Very frustrating! I'm running Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Inspiron.

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft community.

I understand that you have 2 problems on your Windows 7 computer.

    1. The screen turns off when you click with the mouse.
    2. The cursor on the screen disappears while typing.

Let me know if this interpretation is erroneous. To better understand the issue, let me ask a few questions.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    2. You did changes to the computer before the show?

I am here to help you and I suggest these methods to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

Start the computer in safe mode and check if the same problems occur. Safe mode allows only a minimum set of services to load, this will help us to know if a service is causing the problem.

    Startup options (including safe mode)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Method 2:

If the problem does not occur in safe mode, and then perform a clean boot, this will turn off non-Microsoft services and therefore to determine if any non-Microsoft service is causing a conflict for the problem to occur.

Note: once the diagnosis is made, follow the steps in the article to configure the computer to start the Normal start.

    Method 3:

The question could have occurred because the drivers on your computers are not updated. See the link, follow the steps and update the drivers.

  • Laptop screen turns off but the system never sleeps when closed.

    Hello!

I have a laptop Alienware M14x and quite frequently when I close my laptop, the screen turns off but the system will not. When I reopen it, the screen stays off and the system seems still to go but no matter what I press on, the screen does not turn. To fix it, I just turn it off power then back on the power button. I know that my laptop is still running because the fans are still running and the lights on the front and on the keyboard are lit. I don't know if this is a problem common or not, but it's really annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! If there are other details that might help, do not hesitate to ask!

    Thank you!

    -S.

Firstly I find a windows command can tell you if you have something that prevents the mode 'sleep'. Run as administrator command window and use the command: powercfg-query.

If you have my problem and SRVNET is active, you will see this:

    SYSTEM:
    [DRIVER] \FileSystem\srvnet
An active remote client recently sent requests for this machine.

    2. to add SRVNET to the exempt list, do the following at the command prompt (EXACTLY as shown below.)  DRIVER MUST be written in capital letters):

powercfg - requestsoverride DRIVER '\FileSystem\srvnet' system Awaymode

and for good measure (not sure if necessary but I did anyway)...

powercfg - requestsoverride DRIVER "srvnet' system Awaymode

    3. once all is said and done, it should look like this after you run:

    powercfg - requestsoverride

    [DRIVER]
    \FileSystem\srvnet SYSTEM AWAYMODE
    srvnet SYSTEM AWAYMODE

4 enjoy again the "sleep mode".

  • Satellite 1800 - 752S - the screen turns off

    Hello world.
    I have a satellite 1800 - 752S.
Since an ew months ithas a weird problem: the screen turns off. If I press and release the button the lid on what it is, but after that turns off again quickly. OT goes off sometimes immediately, sometimes after a few minutes, or even hours. Sometimes it provides be when I run out of battery and bothers me on AC, sometimes against. It works fine, after I turn sleep or hibernation several times, and after a reboot, it bothers me. I've updated his BIOS for the lates on this site, which would not help. I guess it's a hardware problem, because it's the same problem under Linux, and I tried to install different versions of drivers and windows (not only the one of the recovery CD). Anyone have the same problem before. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you very much
    Roman

    Hello

I think you're right, it's a hardware problem. But to be sure, try connecting an external monitor. If it works without problem while laptops, screen turns off, then it must be a hardware failure.

I guess it's a problem with the FL inverter. You have to give your machine a service partner Toshiba for repair.

  • Screen turns off when the Satellite A45-S250 is moved in the direction of less

    Hello.

I have a satellite A45-S250. I had no previous problem with this machine. However, when the computer is running too long, or it is moved in the slightest way the screen turns off. I don't even have to type very slowly - or I lose the screen.

But also, as I have said - sometimes I won't even be near the computer and the screen turns off. When I lose the screen if the light shines on it - I can see, it's always VERY fair Sun. Generally, it will come if I use the FN + F5 button.

I don't know if it is a screen problem or a connection problem. It occurs with increased frequency. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

From your description, I assume FL converter is defective and must be replaced. FL inverter is responsible for the background light and the typical symptom for faulty FL inverter is dimming or blinking display.

  • Equium A100 - screen turns off when I open the lid completely

I recently had a problem with my Equium A100, as when I open the lid fully, the screen turns off.

However, when the half open, the screen is completely visible.

I have attempted to open the screen and can not see loose cables to my knowledge.

Any help on how to solve the problem would be appreciated.

I agree with Akuma. It sounds like a hardware problem and probably the contact loses when you open the lid.
The cable screen should be checked and probably replaced.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-1269us stopped himself turn off reboot screen black

My HP Pavilion dv7-1260us went 'pop' and turns off.

I hit the power button. The LEDs (sound, WiFi, etc.) in line with the power button all came on but the screen stays black and the fan was running.

I turned it off. I turned it on with the same results. I unplugged the AC and the battery. I repeated several times and the results have remained the same.

With the battery and unplugged HQ, I held the button for 30 seconds. Re-installed the battery and AC with the same results. I have also repeated this process several times. I also did this procedure with only battery reinstalled with the same results.

I opened the DVD player and inserted the CD 1 of 2 restore disks. Then I turned on the computer. The fire came what is on the DVD player door then spun it and the light went all the time that the screen was black. I repeated this process with the same results.

I always get a black screen with all led on/autour lit keyboard lights and the fan runs whenever I try to start.

In addition to the led lights is lit, a flashing white light is to the left of the "caps lock" key and a 2nd white flashing in between the "end" and "page up" keys every time.

  • my laptop starts ok and runs OK for about 20 minutes. Then I lose the picture and the screen shows multicolored lines after the screen turns off. Have no option but turn off...

I have no choice, but to turn off when I next starts, the system works for 15/20 minutes and then the problem comes back I'm back able to boot and run for 15-20 minutes before the problem. What can be wrong?

    Hello

It's graphic (corrupted graphics drivers or graphics hardware fault), or an overheatring problem.

    1. go to the website of your computer manufacturer > drivers download Section > then key in your computer model number > find your operating system > find two graphics / video or the drivers of the Chipset and download and install.

If the problem does not have the graphic material.

    2. overheating (normally will stop completely):

The vents of your laptop becomes clogged with dust, fur, hair, etc.

You can buy cans of compressed air to clean.

If that complies, you may consider a repair shop in order to open the laptop and clean the inside of it.

Also do not use a laptop when it is based on blankets, bedspreads.

As you can see there may be two reasons for your problem

    See you soon.

  • Equium A200 - screen turns off

Hi, I'm having a problem with my Toshiba laptop, the screen turns off randomly and the computer still seems to work, but when I use a VGA cable to connect to a TV it does not display anything.

Here are pictures of when it fires
http://Tinypic.com/r/vr9d7d/7 yellow on the disc tray is turned on
http://Tinypic.com/r/2d9poya/7 that the front turned on lights and computer sounds like its operation.

This led me to believe it's a hardware problem, but when I turn on the computer in Mode safe it never turns off. I also got the fixed ups this year because the screen was losing power.

Can anyone help I can't really afford a new laptop at the moment

    Hi David,

It's a little confusing, it doesn't always happen when you shut down the computer, or just sometimes?
What do you do to get rid of this? Always remove the battery and the AC adapter or what exactly?

I think that it s a hardware malfunction, usually has nothing to do with the software. What you can try is a BIOS update from the official website of Toshiba.

  • Expansion of the files is at 27% and then my screen turns off? : s

Hi all, I read the other thread on this subject on the website, but as usual the problem I have is simply a little more boring, I would like to re-Morphix vista compeltely but in order to do so I obviously need to go through this process. As the title says, when he reached 27% on the expansion of the files after the first reboot, it goes no further, then after awhile my screen turns off. IM typing this text from my laptop at the moment in the hope that all of a sudden my screen will restart and it will continue, but I doubt it very much.

I understand more information may be needed to help me then please just ask. Thank you.

P.s. This problem during one accurs installation from the cd rather than boot. When I try to boot from the drive and runing installing it, my screen turns off agan normally just after entering the cdkey for vista.

I have no idea why this is happening, but if I have the sort I would be very very happy :)

EDIT: A little later and the screen is back on, sound saying "Please wait a moment while windows prepares to start for the first time" then after that, there are a lot of points and moe points keep coming (etc.) I hope it's a good thing: S

    Hello

    1. are you able to boot to the desktop now?
2 How much RAM you have in your computer?

If you are unable to boot to the desktop, then unplug all external devices and try to install windows again.

If the installation fails again, then start in the system recovery options, and run the Windows memory diagnostic tool.

Refer to this link for help:
