Computer laptop closed? Fan overheating?

Hi all.

I have read many topics on this forum about on any laptop fan not working not, laptop computer overheating or the laptop apparently randomly stopping.

I had this problem for about three months. I tried supporting the laptop so the fan (stupidly positioned in the middle of the base of the laptop!) could get air. He was not arrested, but it was ridiculous to have to raise my laptop everywhere wherever I was going, and fan was also ridiculously strong.

I took my laptop to a doctor and it turns out that there was a fault with the chip on the motherboard that controls the fan. It caused the fan not work properly, causing overheating and computer laptop closed.

I set myself and my laptop is now nice and quiet and I don't have to support it and it is not closed.

Sorry if this is bad news! Hope you can get your laptop fixed!

A few months my computer has been acting crazy. Lately, it is essential, it is closed right after it starts. Another thing, it tends to do is to enter a State of low power (not in standby or Hibernate), with all the lights and power always, by discoloration to a black screen. Last night I shut down my computer and as I turned it on this morning I had the 'blue screen of death '. I have no virus and I'm starting to think that this has something to do with the inner workings of my computer (things that I have no idea about). I don't know if I need new drivers, need to clean my registry, I've already defragged my computer, or if I have a chance to save my laptop.

  • computer laptop DV9500 fan makes loud noise...

    Hi all

Recently, I have problem with my computer 17 "hp laptop. There is a grinding noise coming from a place where the fan is fitted. The noise starts after a few minutes, I start the laptop. I couldn't understand what kind of fan is the cause of problem. Some people said it could be cpu fan or normal or it could be a power supply fan. Recently I installed the software of Notbook hardware control (NHC) and suddenly I'm me extermely low contrast on the screen and the noise stopped. It's never happened before. When the fan starts to make noise I have stop working. After installing this software, I have almost solved the problem, but still it will start intermittently. Could someone tell me what could be the problem?

The heatsink in the many books of HP is of inferior quality.  We know that this is not the cause of hard disk, you do not hear the noise as soon as you turn on the PC.  It is not the optical drive, because you do not run the DVD ROM.  The only other element is the radiator fan.  You must open Notepad and check for the appropriate placement of the radiator.  The fan must turn freely.  Repair or replace as needed.  Remove dusty rabbits that have accumulated over the years.

  • Computer laptop closing drank himself and the battery goes from fully charged low battery in a short period of time?

Hi I have a question about my laptop Toshiba Satellite. I've had it for almost 2 years and it worked fine up until just recently, my laptop stops itself and I thought before that this could be due to a heating problem but when it stops my laptop is not yet hot. I have installed new programs or anything again for that matter so I'm honestly confused? What's wrong with that? I also keep my laptop on a laptop computer fan to keep over heating.

It might possible that the battery is going bad.

    However, try the following steps:

WT-40 that burned more or less fan adding oil in fans asking for trouble. And now, your technician is responsible for setting their mess, they created. You never add oil in the fan - where did learn to do repairs. You replace the fan with a new fan. You can't fan hurt to become the new worst oil spray, you risk the oil to burn and cause a fire in your laptop.

  • computer laptop power cord overheating

I have a HP Pavillion DV6409us.  I got it for at least 3 years.  The first power cord it came with broke at the bend of the hook into the computer, ordered a generic replacement cord - he worked nearly a year and snapped in the same place.  Ordered the exact same generic cord in May and it now (after using it for 3 months) overheating where the plug goes into the computer.  It got so hot you can feel it and he put a black line around the plug (the real end of rubber around the metal was extremely hot - almost soft).

I decided that it must be something with this charger generic so I bit the bullet and spent 100 for new sector and HP power cord adapter.  It has today - plugged and it got hot in a few minutes.  What is the cause?  Obviously this is not the power cord.  Laptop was working fine and now would be if I could charge the battery.

HP sent me some letters that the batteries being recalled, but when I look at mine until it is not on the list but really don't think it's the battery anyway because he's hot, even if the battery is out.

I hope someone can help me - can't afford a new laptop now.

The DC Jack on the laptop is very likely wrong, use a flashlight and look in the plug for damage, there will be some or all of the black plastic missing in the central part of the CC.

    Welcome to the forum.

How about you provide a few details?

    (1) identify your laptop with the p/n located on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop

    (2) indicate the operating system and version (32 or 64-bit)

    (3) what you are doing when this happens?

    (4) that start after the installation of additional software/hardware or a Windows Update?

I have a HP G72 laptop that is three years old. The cooling fan suddenly no longer works

You certainly don't want to run the laptop without the fan working properly. If you, the laptop overheats and will more that likely questions much more expensive and more permanent fix.

The fans are completely interchangeable, but this isn't a task that most people feel comfortable doing. A shop will charge you a little, because it requires nearly all computer laptop disassembly. If you want to watch by yourself, the room is usually available for $20 or less and you can find some tutorials that will guide you through the entire process.

  • Computer laptop 15-ac041ne: no low ventilation!

    Hello HP support.

I just bought a new laptop of HP, then has discovered that there is not the background events! Just the wind! I fear that this would have caused an overheating problem in the coming months. I use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop on my new computer laptop, which are heavy type of software. This laptop model is designed to overcome the overheating problem without the bottom vents? Please advice. Thank you in advance!

    Kind regards

    Ahmed ElHagrasy

We are not engineers here but the laptop was designed by engineers and I'm sure that they take into account the thermal requirements. The fan vents and side provide good air circulation. Also the case is not 100% waterproof. The air can participate from the top and the keyboard and is expelled through the vent fan and the side. Sometimes cooling is best when the air flow is channeled and not diffuse.

According to the message that you posted, I suspect that this could be a hardware problem where in your message 'the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work properly' get. Causes/reasons for this problem:

    1. sometimes, it's just because of the dust, animal pet hair slows down the fan

Follow these steps to drain/release the static load of your laptop as shown below:

  • Bad laptop cooling fans

Last year I had a cooling fan replaced because it was vibrations in the month of purchase of the laptop. It took two engineers, a bad part and 4 appointments to get something so simple replaced. It's all with the guarantee on the spot that was supposed to be good.

Then now, fans are vibrations again... it's not the dust or dirt or things like that, it's more along the lines of poor manufacturing. That the fans are spare parts that they will still fall under manufacturer's warranty, even if the laptop is not.

Given to work with service on the spot was such pain is worth bringing this place with Toshiba and sending them to fix the fan and the risk of never seeing my laptop or got my laptop back with more problems than he was expelled with a laptop (Toshiba previously managed to spoil the remote adapter and Toshiba declined a replacement without first taking my computer) laptop with no assurance that I would never get it back!) ?

Is there anyone out there who is happy with a laptop after having expelled to Toshiba?

I put t know which laptop model you have but I didn't notice anything on my Qosmio x 300. I have a year now and at the moment it works OK.
Cooling vents works well, maybe too good because they are a little stronger and it's the only thing I don't like about this laptop.

On the other side until I of good graphics performance for games I don't care about this because most of the time I use the gaming headset.
I'm really sorry to hear you have this kind of problems, but I put t think you can sey in general there is bad part or not. Somehow, I think that it is really unlucky.

Last week I ordered the new Blu - Ray player. After reading a lot of comments positive on this device, I realized that my device has an electrical problem and send it after just one week. No luck I think.
