? Is there a graphics card that will be compatible to my HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop (model dv2419us)?

-This laptop has Windows 7 Home Premium.
-I wanted to take the free update for WIndows 10 - I asked the reservation.
-First reaction has been waiting for downloads would be available.
-Just got the message that it is not compatible with Windows 10 because there a GB Nvidia GeForce 6150 graphics card.
-J' contacted Nvidia on a card that would be comaptible with WIndows 10.
-Response has been that could not recomment a replacement and contact HP.
-Does anyone know if there is a replacement of a graphics card for the HP Pavilion laptop dv2000 which would make it compatible with Windows 10?
... Or is my only option to not upgrade to Windows 10 or buy a new laptop?

Hi there @murray62east,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions. I understand that you are curious about a replacement of a graphics card.

Unfortunately the graphics cards are not replaceable on laptop HP Pavilion dv2000. They are directly attached to the motherboard. The only way to replace a graphics card would be to replace the entire motherboard.

Hope that I have answered your question.

Have a great day!

  • Is there a graphics cards that can be put in my Pavilion g7?

I have a HP Pavilion notebook g7. Right now, it runs on the windows 7 Home Premium operating system. My current graphics "card" is the Intel(r) HD Graphics Family. I just want to be able to play the Sims 3. Are there suggestions for a graphics card (cheaper) for my laptop? Help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Hello

It is not possible to update your graphics card as the current Intel chip is integrated to the motherboard and as such, is not an extensible component - there is also no port on the motherboard that would support an additional GPU.

  • Dell PowerEdge T110 II add on the video graphics card that works

    The system configuration:
    Dell PowerEdge T110 II
    BIOS 2.8.0
    RAM 2x8GB

For many reasons (for example feeding bus PCI), it is difficult to install a Dell PowerEdge T110 II graphics card.  The ATI Radeon HD 5450 is a good choice for the Dell PowerEdge T110 II because if its (approximately 10W) low energy consumption.

After trying several HD 5450 (listed below), a graphics card that works is a "VisionTek Radeon HD 5450 - graphics card - Radeon HD 5450 - 2 GB memory DDR3 - PCI Express 2.1 x 16'.

Edit: Thanks to paikat for the following references, (see his assignment for the links, where to buy)...
    VisionTek manufacturer: 900356

This card works when the monitor is connected to the VGA/D-SUB/DB15 connector. I wasn't looking to connect to HDMI or DVI connectors.

After you install this graphics card, passed the BIOS Setup:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: enabled

    by saying:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: Standard

and allowed to move from "Standard" to "Distributed" so it now says:
Integrated Devices > integrated video controller: distributed

Note: Install the card with the monitor connected to the integrated video port / edge, change the BIOS to Distributed settings, restart the computer and then connect the monitor to the Discrete / distributed / video port to Add on.

I have read this thread and seen the suggestion of VisionTek, it also works with the card mother E3-1230V2?

My guess is the Dell PowerEdge T110 II uses the same motherboard for various configurations of CPU, but this is only a guess.

Also, are there better options eventually with the support of 12 DDR5 and directx?

I saw a thread suggesting ASUS GTX650-E-2GD5, someone at - he of the inputs on this card?

I tried a GeForce GT 610 2 GB and it did not work.  Check the use of the GTX650-E-2GD5 (DPT) power and make sure that it is less than 25 watts (see below)

    Quick notes:

    1. the location of PCIe x 16 is actually a "full-size x 8 slot" (also known as an x 16 slot / x 8) and the video card needs to work in this type of accommodation.

    2. video card power (TDP) is a limiting factor. Technical guide Dell says "the system supports a maximum power of 25 W for all four cards PCIe.»  and said Dell owner's manual "ATTENTION: to ensure correct cooling, not more than two cards of four extension may have more than 15 W power consumption (maximum 25 W each), not to mention the integrated storage controller card."

3 install the card with the monitor connected to the integrated video port / edge, change the built-in BIOS devices > on-board video controller 'Activated' / 'Standard' to 'Distributed', restart the computer and then connect the monitor to the Discrete / distributed / video port to Add on.

I had the above problem with AOEII:Age of the Kings. My brief spec is Windows 7 Ultimate edition (SP1) and a card nVidia 8600 GT. I did the following (make sure you reboot after each installation):

Make sure that you are running the latest patch of AOEII:AOK (2. 0 a):

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=35

Download and install the latest version of DirectX:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=5264

Download and install the latest nVidia Driver suite. I left the autodetect my card software and reset all my default settings. I also installed the full software suite:

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Finally, right click on the shortcut of AOE and click Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab and select the following:

-Run this program in compatibility mode - choose Windows XP Service Pack 2 (!) NOT 3!)
    -Disable visual themes
-Disable the Composition of the Bureau
-Run this program as an administrator

One of the above options maybe work on its own, but that's what I had to do to make it work and I tested it after each step.

    Good luck!

  • To use the computer with the different Flight Simulator equipment that is only compatible with 32-bit versions of Windows

Original title: change the version of Windows

I have a computer used only for Flight Simulator and is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  I want to use the computer with the different Flight Simulator equipment that is only compatible with 32-bit versions of Windows.  Is there a way I can upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit for Windows 10 32 bit and enjoy free upgrade of Windows 10?

No, the upgrade program will replace existing windows with the same number of bits, 32 to 32 and 64 to 64.

Even within the same version of Windows, passing from 32 to 64 and vice versa requires a clean installation.

  • What is the best graphics card that can fit in the p7-1003w hp?

The card that came with my CPU. the ATI Radeon HD 4200 is too low to run demanding games like Arma 2, so I need a good graphics card that would adapt and balance of my motherboard, so the video card and the graphics card could be facing another.

    CHHeinrich, welcome to the forum.

Before you can update the video, you will need to upgrade the power supply (PSU).  The existing PSU is only 250W.  New mid-level video cards require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  I normally recommend at least 500W.  This will allow for future updates.  I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  This is a power supply that works.  I suggest to measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

Now, you cannot use integrated video when a dedicated video card is installed.  So you don't have to worry about keeping about with one another.  I love EVGA, Sapphire, XFX and PNY in that order.  Here is a video card which should give you a boost of good performance.  You should stay less than 9 "in length to ensure that the card fits in the space provided.  Always read the customer reviews on all products you purchase to see what users have to say about them.

If you decide not to go with my recommendations, both of these will give you a good idea of what you need.

  • An AMD Radeon 6970 graphics card will be compatible with my desktop computer?

I own a HP Pavilion HPE h8xt series desktop computer.

    -INtel Core i7-2600 processor

-16 GB of ddr3 RAM memory

    -460W power supply

From now on, I have an AMD Radeon 6850 in my office, but I want to know that if I buy a 6970, if it will be compatible in my office and if not will work properly. Or if he simply does not work.

Please answer as soon as possible because I need to know whether or not it is necessary to collect money for her for Christmas!

    Thank you!

    Hello

Make sure that this AMD Sapphire 6970 will adjust.  It is 9.8 "length.  I also checked the length on the Sapphire site.  It's a card double slot.  This map requires a PCI-E power connector 8 pins.

The Corsair CX600 is sufficient for the video card above.

You can review the performance comparison between the 6850 and 6970 to this site.  Notice the power for the use of 6970 which means more heat inside your PC.

  • ENVY Desktop - 750-137c: help me to find a graphics card that fits.

Hello, my name is Joe.   I need help with my new pc.  I got this pc without graphics card.  I want to try to upgrade and I think I can use the slot pcie 16 x 3.0?  Correct me if I'm wrong.  I want to know what the card would fit as the motherboard is a Μatx which, from what I can tell, a little smaller.   Also, I may have to upgrade my power supply. If so, is there a special for my pc or can put in none?  I have no idea.   Thank you all for your time.   I'll check here every day.

    Joe

Thank you for the additional information.

You certainly need to move the power supply (PSU).  I love Corsair products.  A modular POWER supply is very good because it allows to use only the cables needed.  I normally recommend at least 500W, but in this case, I would recommend 600W.  Your computer is new, and this will give you more flexibility for future updates.

Here are the system requirements for Fallout 4:

    • 08/07/10 (64 - bit OS required) Windows
    • Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent.
    • 8 GB OF RAM.
    • 30 GB of free HARD disk space.
    • NVIDIA GTX 780 3 GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 X 4 GB or equivalent.

Now for the video card.  As you can see, the system requirements are quite high for Fallout 4.  I believe, with the video card on the right, you'll be able to play it is still higher than the average.  The RAM and video card are more important when the games.  Here is a card that should work for you.  Read the customer reviews.  A comment indicates that the map plays Fallout 4 nicely.  However, I claim that you contact EVGA Tech Support (1-800-880-3842) in order to ensure that it will work.  They were always very helpful when I made contact with them.

  • Update graphics card that went wrong; Need help.

Let me first, I the a6700f desktop model.

Here's my problem... There is a month that I bought a graphics card for my computer, the NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS 512 MB DDR2 PCI Express graphics card, link below:

    http://www.BestBuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8990407&type=product&ID=1218007083381

. It was great to work on my computer, and I liked the fact that I can play higher quality video and games on my computer, which could barely handle with the 6150 it comes with. It worked fine for about 2 days, when my friend told me that he had the 8600 model given to him by his cousin, but because it was a PCI Express model, it has failed on its motherboard. So he let me try, because it was the card I have established originally to get (but the Best Buy had not).

I pulled the 8400 which worked very well and replaced it with the 8600. When I turned on the computer later, the monitor never displays anything. I could hear the music start and everything, so I know that it was running; However, the monitor shows nothing. So I turned off has released the 8600 and then tried the 8400. Even if it was working fine before trying the 8600, the monitor wouldn't read something with her. I thought it would be the monitor that was just straight up, so I tried another. The same problem. I then looked online and saw some article talks about food that may be too low because the amount required for the 8600 was 300w, exactly what my computer. So, I went to Best Buy and bought a 450w power supply and tried with that. Still did not work. I thought it could be the graphics card, so I returned it and got the same exact model, just a new. Still did not work. I even reformatted my entire computer to the settings it had when I bought it, and nothing has worked. I tried to clean my computer, searching for scratches and haven't found anything.

The only way that the monitor has worked has been without any graphics in it (just the 6150) he built). I've been turned off to repair, because I know in general how to solve small problems like that, even if I can't know all the technical terms for computers (I'm more a guy who recognizes the parts and what they do).

If someone knows a solution that I have not yet tried, please let me know about it so I can give it a shot and no waste of money do repaired and it have to be a simple solution.

    ----

    Additional information:

I bought this computer some time in February this year, so it is still fairly new. However, I don't have the receipt so that it doesn't matter where, so I don't think I'm able to do anything with the warranty on it. I have also heard people that they do not cover damage of upgrades (don't know if it of true or not). Is there a way I can still make them fix it, or just get it replaced?

Message edited by Luckybucket on 01/06/2009 19:42

The pci-e slot is damaged and I suspect that this has been done when you were installing the 8600. It is not too difficult for the location on the motherboard with static damage physically or a force applied the wrong angle. HP will simply not provide a warranty if you have haveis a computer that cannot be used with the integrated graphics card or maybe (shudder) a simple pci card video.
