My HP G60-414 CA laptop is Windows 7 with all the last update and even with all the latest DLLS it connect OK with connection cable RG-45, but when I press the button on top of my PC wireless turns BLUE. I am connected via a cable modem and a CISCO router with cable and wireless ability. Sometimes the wireless connection going BLUE, but when I try to connect the laptop computer restart itself and come to usuall with the top wireless YELLOW button and the wireless connection to the bottow of my screen with an X on it. When I go to the network and connect I see 2 Wi - Fi. with a big X on them, both say not connected, one is: Microsoft Virtual Miniport Adapter #2 and the other is: Qualcom Atheros AR5007 802.11 b/g, I've been trying to solve this problem for a while now and not getting anywhere. I hope someone can help. Thank you / thanks

Hi, Philippe:

Check the Atheros card in the Device Manager and click on the driver tab and make sure driver installed.

If so, the date should be around July/August 2011. Sometimes it says it installs but doesn't.

If this should happen, you will need to uninstall the driver, and then try again.

Other than that, I don't know what else it could be.

I looked for answers and have updated all my drivers on windows suggested and still not connect wireless. My blackberry to connect to my router very well... Help, please!

    Hello

Turn off the router and the Modem - wait 3 minutes and reverse. Restart the computer.

Some systems have a power switch on the front or side. If a laptp or a PC that uses embedded
WiFi check/configuration settings (BIOS/CMOS) as you start - often F2 then warning screen - select-
boar without wireless/WiFi. If the PC of a kitchen separated and system maps turned OFF and try to remove and
replacement of the card - in fact remove - do not just tight.

A manual update or re - stall your drivers by using these methods, do not use only the driver update as
You must refresh the batteries of any driver.

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon. Use a wire or download drivers
on another computer and use removable media to transfer to your system.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they

  • Laptop says that I am not connected to the internet when in fact I am. The LAN and WiFi

I recently acquired a laptop HP ProBook 4540 s. It is currently running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Although I seem to have full connectivity with internet through two LAN and WiFi, the icon on the taskbar always has a red
    'X' through it.

When I go to the network sharing Center, there is no listed active networks and yet it shows fully connected at the top of the page.

Because there is no active networks listed I can't change of 'Private' to 'Home' or 'Office '.

Also, I do not believe that the computer running automatic 'windows updates' because he thinks that there is no internet connectivity.

It can search and identify the 'local' WiFi routers and I can connect to them with ease, but the laptop still says: I am not connected.

Printer not responding not connections (wireless printer) is good and solid. I replaced my old router wirelessly with a router of valuation.  I had to plug it, but the printer does not respond now.

Is what brand and model of printer?

I do not work unless your new router has the same SSID and password wireless as the old. Consult your printer documentation to find out how to handle the situation. For example, some Lexmark wireless printers have a program called Configuration Utility Wireless in the Lexmark folder under all programs on the start menu that is used to set up the printer when changes are made to the wireless network.

I went in the menu on the printer and restore the default settings.  I always had the same problem with the Installation of the Dell program I went into the Windows 7 Control Panel and clicked on "Add a wireless device to the network."  He immediately recognized the printer and I followed the steps until the light green enabled WiFi fixed.   Then, I went through the installation of Dell again and was able to print, scan, etc.

  • WiFi for computer laptop HP ENVY 15 and Ethernet connection problem

Hi, a few months ago, I brought a HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC running windows 8.1. It is connected to my wifi with Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter. My modem is a Technicolour TG582n 2 Wireless ADSL + with wireless 802.11 b/g/n compatible.

As soon as I got there I noticed a problem of internet where I would be able to connect to my home WiFi network and get full reception bars but would have a hard time to access Web sites on web browsers such as chrome, mozilla and internet explore pages takes some time to load and eventually reached a page "this webpage is not available" (for chrome). This problem seems to occur only with my home network as it can connect to public wifi and my wifi friends and yet I have many other devices such as laptops and other smartphones connected to my wifi that did not at all have poblems with internet and it just seems to be mine. When I connect via ethernet I get good connection for about 10 minutes and then I was completely cut off. However, I can upload a file via the wifi ok if I can get it to start and I can play a game online well enough but often disconnected after an hour or two.

I checked for new updates of pilot, but they seem to be up to date and im do not manually downloading and installing one on the hp site but I tried (I did probably wrong). I ran the diagnostic function, but it cannot detect all problems. I looked around the internet as well, but still havn't found a solution.

Also I got the laptop sent back and received a new but the same problem persisted and as I walked through the process of the person I was talking to a admitted that I had a problem like they remote limited from my laptop for a little for the access problem.

Please help, I've had this problem for a month or two now and is really becoming a problem since I use my laptop computer for purposes of requiring home internet work.

Thanks in advance and I hope you guys can help!

You ran the diagnostic function, but no problems were. You had the phone replaced for the same issue, but the replacement has the same question.

  • 15 t: new laptop HP 15 t do not connect or stay connected to Wifi

I got my new laptop for about three weeks and everything worked perfectly on it. I downloaded 1/20th of what I had on my old HP laptop. All of a sudden, we arrived at the cottage a day and my laptop wouldn't stay is no longer connected to wifi. I turned my laptop on / off power several times and nothing is fixing the issue. Thinking it was the wifi connection, I deleted it only to have it not even be able to connect in this respect more. This laptop is brand new and I'd hate to send it back because I am me such a lot on it and everything I wanted came with this laptop.

If I can't find the solution, I'll be forced to send it back and get a different brand.

Is there someone who is having the same problems as me?

    Thank you

    Jill

    Hello @Jillybean124,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I read your post that your laptop HP 15 t is having a wireless connection issues and I wanted to join you.

Here is a list of steps that solve common problems with wireless connectivity.

First of all, we have a step by step guide to guide you through the process of diagnosis here:
Troubleshooting your wireless network and Internet access

A second option is to try the following steps:
    Powercycle the network:
    1. turn off your laptop.
    2. unplug the power to your router.
    3. disconnect the power to your modem.
    4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
    7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Turn off the power to the adapter:
    1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
    2. expand the network adapters.
    3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
    4. click on the power management tab.
5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    6. click on OK.
    7 test cycle.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

    Reinstall the NIC drivers:
    1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
    2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
    3. expand network adapters.
    4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
    6. restart your PC and test.

    Test an ethernet connection:
Explicit. Test if the problem persists on a wired connection to the adapter hardware troubleshooting wireless can be directed to the appropriate areas.

    Test another connection:
Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problems. You can change the operating system with the drop-down list in the upper right of the document.

  • My laptop with Windows Xp does not connect to the internet, please help me!

Then my laptop, as indicates it works on Windows Xp, but even if I'm supposed to be connected to my home network, when I run Internet Explorer, it can not connect to internet. Any help and insight will help. Please help me!

I'm sorry that had to retype all of this, but in essence, that everything indicates that things work correctly with your Internet connection.

To translate, the first bit tells us that your router assigned your computer 192.168.0.12 IP address.  The own IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1

The result of ping 127.0.0.1 indicates that your computer can communicate with itself (the adapter is OK)

The 192.168.0.12 ping result indicates that your computer can communicate with your router (that we already knew because otherwise your computer don't would not have been assigned an IP address).  It also means that you are connected to your local network.

The result of the ping 192.168.0.1 is similar to the 127.0.0.1 test.

And finally, the ping Google result shows that you are able to access the Internet.

Knowing all this, you probably need to reset TCP/IP or Winsock, or both.

    Manually:

Open a command prompt window and type

    netsh winsock reset {enter}
    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

    Hello

Formatting/reinstalling is overkill. A bit like buying a new car because you have a flat tire.

To reinstall, you can use either the volume of recovery or the recovery disc, both should work pretty much the same. In general, the product key is located on the system like a sticker (on laptops usually on the bottom). If you can't find yours, you should contact the provider or your network administrator (and in fact, if there is a working system, you should contact them before doing anything).

Before you do this right, you can try this: click Start and type CMD. Right click on the menu entry that appears and choose "Run as Administrator". Click on continue in the UAC prompt. From the command line, run:

    ipconfig/release

    ipconfig/flushdns

    ipconfig / renew

Allow everyone to finish (return to the command line) before proceeding to the next. When you are finished, close the command prompt. See if that helps with your problems of connection.
